Saltwater Gargle Help I Have A Bunch Of It Left On My Sink Area In A Cup After Making A Solution

Is it true if you add a pinch of salt into water it get the water to boil faster?

It doesn't make it boil any faster, but salty water can boil at a higher temperature. Plain water reaches the boiling point at 100C and stays there. Salty water can boil at a bit higher temp., and therefore theoretically cooks the food faster. If boiling pasta, adding salt also makes the pasta taste better.

Bad Toothache - Salt Water?

I just had the worst pain not to long ago. I could NOT sit still and I felt like the worst. What I did to relieve the pain was just under 10 mins, I know sound like forever but read this first before trying and this will most likely help:

1). Take a Tablespoon of salt
2). Not to hot nor to cold warm water about less than half a cup
3). Mix it so the salt doesn t sit on the bottom of the cup.
4). Give it a test sip to see if its not too salty that you ll spit it out or to little that you wont have enough of an effect.
5). Now that you ve got the right amount for about two more sips, take a sip and rinse out your mouth enough to get rid of any loose foods or particles.
6). Take the last sip and let it sit on the affected area for about 5-10 mins or until pain is lessened or even gone.

Note: This is only temporary and will most like cause pain again if you mess around with the tooth or eat enough to excite the pain all over again. continue these steps and consult a dentist to figure out what to do with the tooth. Try this before going to sleep and take a pill for the pain, sleeping is the hardest and hopefully this will help anyone experiencing this. wish you the best.

Sincerely,

Teresa

What is the process for making mozzarella cheese?

If you want to do it from home, you only need a few things...  A gallon or two of whole milk, some citric acid, some saltwater and some rennet.  The basic process is to heat the milk and add the citric acid... stir and let cook for a while before adding the rennet and turning off the heat.  This will separate the fats from the whey after a waiting period of about an hour.  Once that's done, you will want to separate the curds from the whey.  Get as much of the whey out of the curds as possible.  You'll then pull and stretch them with some hot saltwater (same salt/water ratio as sea water).  The process involves folding, pressing, stretching, etc.  If you want exact measures for everything you can look up tutorials on youtube, etc.  Extra fun fact... if you bring the whey back up to a bubble after you remove the curds, ricotta cheese should float up to the top, and you should be able to scoop it out and put it in cheese cloth.

Is it true if you add a pinch of salt into water it get the water to boil faster?

no ... salt is added to keep the boiling point down (why you add a little to spagetti when cooking), this lets you finish cooking what you are cooking without having an overflow from the pot. Another trick, is to put a wooden spoon over the pot, this doesn't stop it from overflowing, but will help slow it down as it is popping the bubbles. But salt works better :) Have a good day :)

Marine help?

The size of your tank will determine whether or not some types of equipment (or fish) would even be practical. For instance, if your tank was 10 gallons, it wouldn't be practical for us to tell you that you should add metal halide lighting - you'd fry your fish with lighting that intense. Plus, there can be more than one piece of equipment or method that will work in a given situation, so you should consider as many alternatives to see what's appropriate for your tank size, what you'd like to keep, and budget.

Same with fish - a green moray wouldn't even fit in a tank that size! When considering fish for saltwater, you need to take into consideration the tank size, adult fish size, activity level, aggressiveness, compatibility with fish and other organisms in the tank, hardiness, and experience of the keeper.

You won't be able to fit all that information into just a few paragraphs in a forum. A better approach would to be to get a good book on saltwater aquariums. You can also use a few good websites to use as additional references.

For books I'd recommend The New Marine Aquarium by Michael S. Paletta. Microcosm Ltd. ISBN 1-890087-52-1 or The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert M. Fenner. Microcosm Ltd. ISBN 1-890087-02-5

As a website, I'd recommend these as starters:
http://www.apapets.com/MarineEcosystem/w...
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/
http://www.peteducation.com/index.cfm?cl...

You can also try finding out if there are any aquarium societies in your area. There will usually be some members that are interested in keeping marine tanks and they can help you and maybe even be there to help with set-up and whenever you have a problem.

Good luck with your tank!

How do I dechlorinate water? Is chlorine safe for aquarium fish?

These are just a few of the products that are designed to dechlorinate water. And NO, IT IS NOT SAFE, CHLORINATED WATER IS TOXIC TO AQUARIUM FISH. Aquasafe is another. Always use the conditioners. Especially in the warmer months. The level of Chlorine is increased. Now this is your first tank do NOT PURCHASE EXPENSIVE FISH. It is common to lose upwards of 70% 80% of aquarium fish in the 2–4 months. Cause is “New Tank Syndrome”. Ir the Nitrogen Cycle. The process were organic matter us removed from an aquatic ecosystem. However, a tank is an artificial environment. The beneficial bacteria needs to establish before the tank settles. When fish are introduced there is no bacteria such as Nitrosominas which converts Ammonia a byproduct of fish waster rotting food and the decay of organic matter, into Nitrates. Nitrates are the most toxic. The molecules attach themselves to the fish’s guills preventing their red blood cells from absorbing Oxygen. Once the Ammonia levels spike they will drop as the second colony of beneficial Bacteria establishes. Nitrobacter is the bacteria that converts Nitrites into nitrates. Ammonia and Nitrites are the most Toxic. Nitrates are less so. However, nitrates CAN BECOME TOXIC at high levels. Put live plants. They absorb the nitrates. When selecting fish pay attention to its PH Requirements. For example Platies or other live baring fish require 7.0 to 7.6 PH. Tetras require 63–6.6 Ph. I found tetra tanks to be easier. Especially in terms of new tanks. There are two types of Ammonia that can be in the tank. But never together. Ammonia and Ammonium. Ammonium is less toxic. Fish can tolerate that longer. However be careful. Especially when using powder adjusting PH buffers. If you accidentally put an Alkaline buffer in the Tetra Tank that 6.6ppm Ammonium will convert to its more toxic ammonia

What helps against sore throat?

Buy some zinc throat tabs at the pharmacy to suck on to keep you from coughing and a beverage nearby (like a bottle of water).   For sore throats, get a glass of warm water, add a lot of salt to it, and gargle with warm salt water.  It sounds gross but it helps--just don't swallow the salt.  Take a Alkaseltzer Cold Plus tab for a few days or a antihistamine/decongestant/cough suppressant combo before you fly.  Bring eye drops if your eyes get itchy and dry.  Ask the flight attendant for a fresh pillow and blanket.  Lay your head on the side of the plane (if you're in the window seat) or tell the person sitting next to you that you have a cold and ask to sit there so you can keep them from catching it.  Bundle up, prop your pillow up, take a nap, relax and don't turn down those beverages to keep you hydrated while you fly.  Keep a pack of chewing gum in your pocket.  If your ears hurt because they are full of fluid and you are congested and can't breathe, at least chewing something upon landings and takeoffs (or swallowing in general like a drink) will help relieve the ear and nasal pressure a bit.  If you really think you've got a long flight and you will be in the air several hours in a red-faced, coughing fit, then get yourself to the doctor before you fly and let them check you out.  Coughing fits that last day and night and never let you rest or sleep can be something else - like a bacterial infection in your lungs which a "Z-pack" (Azythromycin antibiotic which is a tiny single tablet taken over a couple of days) will help fix to halt the non-stop coughing too immediately.  Over the counter mucus reducers cough syrups can help and some can even knock you out and make you sleep (if you want that).Drink lots of fluids, get a lot of rest of the plane, and if it really bothers you alot to cough in front of others, then go to a pharmacy and buy a cheap surgical mask or cover your face with your arm (or a blanket) if you feel the need to cough and take lots of vitamin C which can help you too.  Order a juice on the plane with that water and chew on the ice.  It can help curb the constant need to cough if you are sucking on something like a zinc throat tablet or a cube of ice.

Can baking soda bleach your hair?

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/68d90

Hatching Brine Shrimp?

Im hatching brine shrimp, just the kind that you buy in a bag and just put in water. Well, I have them in there right amount of water, and it says to keep them in 80 degrees F. I have no way to heat the container, so are they not gonna hatch.

Is it really that important for the water to be that tempature, will it just make them hatch slower kept in cooler water, or do they HAVE to be in warm water.

If they do have to be in warm water, how can I heat it if I don't have a heater?

Have you ever caught on to someone trying to scam you before it was too late?

I worked at Borders Bookstore (now defunct). Ten minutes before closing time, a gentleman comes to the Café, and asks if we could do him the “favor” of putting his bag of groceries into our refrigerator. He mentioned that he had milk in the bag, and didn’t want it to spoil while he browsed for books. Sounds simple enough, right? Again: AFRAID OF MILK SPOILING. IN THE TEN MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING. I said NO.Not because my “scam meter” was buzzing (yet), but just because I remembered that it’s not only against the rules… it’s also a Health Code violation to have personal or “outside the system” food stored with our legitimate items for sale to the public. I had recently taken a Food Safety Course (required for managers who may work the cafe, but not required for the rank & file baristas), so those rules were fresh in my mind.So what does Mr Milk-Panic do? He goes to someone else in the cafe to ask the same “favor.” I saw that, left the counter to repeat my “no” to both the customer and the barista before an employee said something they would regret. What next? He walks to the other end of the store, finding a random book-seller to ask the same thing. Fortunately, we had started using radio headsets, so I got the request in my headset. Okay, so NOW my “scam sensor” is fully engaged. Dude hasn’t even started browsing for books yet, and in the 5 minutes left before we lock the doors, he is ANGRY that his fresh milk may spoil (but not concerned enough to just go straight home - hmmmm….). So now I made it clear on the radio (all the employees could hear, but not the customers) that the cafe fridge is NOT to be used for any customers’ personal food, or someone could get fired…PERIOD! Suddenly the “nice” manager was being the mean one, and the customer finally left, yelling some obscenities which didn’t seem to match the “nice man asking for a small favor” persona. The next day’s staff meeting, the general manager had printed out an emailed scam warning: someone was going around, store to store, asking to refrigerate his bag of groceries. Then… he doesn’t come back for them. Not until a week or more has passed, when it would certainly have been thrown away. Upon hearing that his precious “milk” had been tossed out, the customer would then claim we had thrown out hundreds of dollars’ worth of groceries. He would demand CASH for it… or threaten to report us to the Health Department for allowing outside food into our fridges.Pay attention to that small, nagging feeling!

What was the most disgusting customer behavior you encountered in your career?

Well, I work in food service in US (McDonalds( and used to sell some electronic components back in my country. This are the top disgusting behaviours I had seen so far:In McDonalds:Pleople complaining because of their own errors as it was yours. How it happened? Not so long ago a girl asked for a crispy chicken sandwich meal .For almost every Mcdonalds cashier that means a buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich meal that now in Massachusetts is a number four. But she meant a McChicken with fries and drink. After I charged for it and I gave the receipt to the lady she asked for the mannager and I called the mannager. After the mannager said told her that is what she ordered and it was not a mistake she demanded her money back. I proceeded to do the refound on the card and when I gave her the receipt that highlights the word REFUND,she started to tell at me asking how a worthless piece of shit can work taking orders without knowing how to speak English and don't knowing what does “money back “means. She called the mannager back and then said “I expect for my food to be free at this point” and I said “Sorry ma'am , you got your money back already” and she answered without looking at me “I'm talking to the mannager not to you”. After everything was cleared (Between the manager and me let me say) we both said to her go get out the drive thru or we were going to call the police and she left saying she never was going to come back (Thankfully for me).In El Salvador:People trying to get the money back for electronic components they missused saying that I sold them non working components. How it happened?:We had a electronics workshop and I used to sell electronic components to make some money. I once sold A UJT (UniJunction Transistor) that was impossible to find anywhere else in the country and I was the only one selling them but was required for the practice lab. I sold it for $4 (half the price of the major retailer) and some people tryed to return it and get a refund because they blowed the component (of course they did not told me) demanding their money back. Of course after the first try I made a circuit to plug the UJT and see if it worked, using my own first and the customer's later ashaming them when I figured their naiveness. To put this in context at that time the minimum wage in El Salvador was around $8 a day.

What habits did you learn in India that have stuck?

I was only in India for 12 twelve days and they say it takes 21 days to form a habit so I would say that perhaps not so much of a “habit” formed but I definitely seeing a few things differently now.Driving. I had the fastest driver in all of India…seriously, I have videos of him talking to me while I was in the back seat of the car, with his head turned to me and smoking a cigarette and still managing to pass all the cars, trucks, cows, motorcyclist, etc. So now, I don’t look at our roads the same…of course I have to drive safe in LA but when there’s no one around, I don’t care if the sign says right turn only if I see parking that one way street. Also I will maneuver around lame-o’s…namely Uber and Lyft drivers who decide to stop in the middle of traffic or make illegal u-turns to pick up their passengers. Seriously every time someone is driving like an asshole, 8 out of 10 times it’s a U or L driver. So moral of this story is that I do not drive, or color for that fact, between the lines.Shit. There was so much shit and everything smelled like shit, shit doesn’t bother me anymore.Ti-kay and head nod. Probably not spelling that right but I do that around my Indian friends…it means I hear you but does not necessarily mean compliance or understanding. Learned the the hard way.Appreciation. I always wondered why people have to travel so far to appreciate what they have. Why are people who are soul searching, generally end up in India. What is it about India that is so mystical. To be honest, I don’t know. Hmm I should pose that question on Quora. Maybe it’s due to centuries of prayers and meditation that has permeated the country so you can’t escape it but I certainly felt a sense of peace even amongst the chaos. Maybe it’s because when you see babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, adults, seniors and dogs, cats, cows, pigs living in conditions that we deem as subpar but they manage to have a smile on their tired faces even after working God knows how many hours a day. Or perhaps it’s because I know I will come home to a comfortable bed, hot shower, wifi and a full roof over my head even if I only have a few buck at the end of the month in my bank account.I can probably go on and on but this is getting way to long. Anyways, thanks for reading and Happy New Year…Ti-Kay (insert head nod).

What is the most successful do-it-yourself “medical treatment” you ever did which would totally shock and horrify the medical profession?

Hm. Me, personally, on myself? (I have some stories, boy do I ever, about my mother doing some DIY on me that actually turned out reasonably well, but that’s outside the scope of this question, I think, since she worked in medicine and was also my mom.)I’m going to go with “how I handle yeast infections.”First, you should know that I’m allergic to sulfa and can’t take it, and penicillin works a little too well. As a result, I try not to take antibiotics if I can help it, because cillin drugs are the first line of defense for me (because of the sulfa thing) and if I take them I will get a yeast infection, every damn time. It doesn’t matter how clean I keep myself or whether anything is actually wrong in my nethers at the time—cillin = yeast. Never fails. And that is when I should really buy shares in Yoplait, because the way I handle yeast infections is “eating stupid amounts of yogurt.”It’s not as fast as something like Monistat—it takes about three days to work—but it comes with no risk of side effects, I don’t have to go sticking my fingers up my bits trying to spread a bunch of goop around, and it’s delicious. And if I start eating it pre-emptively the same day I start antibiotics I’ll end up with three days of “well, this is mildly annoying and inconvenient” instead of “DEAR VAGINA GODS PLEASE REMOVE SATAN FROM MY CERVIX.”Thing is, if you mention this to a doctor, most of the time you get a weird face and some talk about the placebo effect. And like . . . . okay, I first heard about this at Planned Parenthood when I couldn’t afford Monistat, but even if it is placebo effect, it’s . . . clearly working for me? Without having to add a second (expensive!) medication that could counteract or interfere with the cillin? Wouldn’t you think this would be a good thing? But no, they’d rather me take the prescription stuff. Which is why I never bother going to doctors for yeast infections anymore. I already know how to treat them—even though it’s not approved by most doctors.

How do I remove tonsil stones?

I can totally relate. I discovered I keep getting them and I notice them when it feels like something is caught in my throat when I swallow. The best thing to do is make an appointment with your primary care doctor (not a dentist just your regular doctor) for a tonsil stone removal. They most likely have appropriate instruments to remove it. However I have been able to remove them at home myself but I don't recommend it cause it is difficult and you don't want to injure yourself.

Best thing to do is gargle daily with hydrogen peroxide mixed with water (half and half) or mouthwash. I start by gargling with mouthwash or the mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Then I take a regular Q-tip and dip it into the hydrogen and I take a flash light and aim it down my throat, while looking into a mirror, and I quickly dab the tonsil stone with the Q-tip (the stones will look white or yellowish and you will see them sitting inside one or both of the tonsils. If they aren't white or yellowish then have a doctor look at your tonsils cause it could be something else). The hydrogen peroxide and water mixture seems to help dissolve my stones. OR dip the Q-tip into a cup of any brand of soda because soda is very acidic and can dissolve things. Doing this can cause you to gag a little so if you gag a lot just have a doctor take care of this for you. I find holding my breath while dabbing the stone prevents gagging for me.

I keep dabbing it every few hours and press hard and wipe the stone quickly. Eventually I am able to knock it out of my tonsil using a fresh Q-tip (that has been dipped in hydrogen peroxide and water mixture) each wipe of the tonsils. If you knock the stone out and you can feel it in your throat quickly grab a cup of water and gargle then spit into the sink and you won't swallow it. However if you swallow it it won't hurt you. I now make sure to gargle with water or mouthwash 2 or more times every day every time I brush my teeth and haven't had another tonsil stone for months.

Make sure to use only a soft item like a Q-tip to touch your tonsils. If gargling and touching it with a Q-tip does not work within 2 days then make an appointment to see your doctor and tell the doctor's office why you are making the appointment (tonsil stone). Good luck!

How do people with ADHD think?

OK, the only good way to explain this it to type up what I think as I write this post. I’m gonna find a random word on the internet and then i’m just gonna type. You’ll be able to see into my mind for a couple of minutes. I mean it won’t catch every thought. And also a ‘-’ means different thought that interrupted a current thought.RelationRelationships. My relationship is going to shit right now. In fact I wish I had a boyfriend ‘I would die for you Riley’. Inside out is a very good film. And sad. You know what is a good film. Eragon. A greater book though. I love reading, I wonder if i’ll get onto that creative writing course. I love dogs. My nana used to have four dogs but they all died and now she has a puppy. I wonder how my best friends kitten pearl is doing. He is adorable. unlike babies. I hate babies. My mum is want to be a midwife. Fuck. I forgot to wipe the sides in the kitchen. I’ll do that after this post. I love Riverdale it is such a good TV series, I love how i’m trying to type my- Monteeeeeeeee, what? Freddie Andrews? Where sit that na- Hats. I need a new hat. I need several hats. In fact I need a new life. A new brain. Brains are weird. like fat pink spaghetti all scrunched up into a birds nest. My back hurts. I need to stretch more. Eh who cares .Not me . NICE TO SEE YOU TO SEE YOU NICE. Sad times when he died. I wonder whose gonna win Strictly come dancing. I want that hot guy to win.WaitThey’re all hotThat new guy in my class is hot. What new guy, there isn’t a new guy. KKK. That was interesting lesson today. I can’t believe ice cream cone wannabes used to attack African Amercians in the middle of the night what the fuck was that about. About about about about about about about Blossom. Cherry Blossom. I’ve always wanted to go to Japan, I love japan. KAWAIIIIIIIIIII. NO.*****And stop. that was in two minutes of typing. If I wasn’t typing there would be a shit tone more.
