School Supply Shopping

When should i go school supply shopping?

I would get the uniforms as soon as they are available.

For school supplies, my teachers usually give me a list of what they want during the first week of school, but I am sure many high school send out a list before school starts, so get the supplies as soon as you can- the beginning of August will have the most sales and school supplies will be in most stores.

A list of general school supplies:

One binder per class. 1 inch is usually the standard requirement, but 1 and a half inch is also common.

1 notebook per class. I usually buy 4 more than the number of classes I have(For example, if I have 8 classes, I get 12 notebooks), just in case I fill up a notebook.

Pens(blue, black, red)

Pencils(I prefer 0.5 mechanical pencils.) Papermate is my favorite company.

Extra lead and erasers for mechanical pencils and

If you need a new backpack, get one too.

Tab Dividers are EXTREMELY useful to stay organized.

A pencil case, if you don't already have one.

If your school usually wants you to get Expo markers, then get Expo markers, as well.

A lot of time, I like to write my notes in color, so I get Pilot G2 pens. They come in a variety of colors.

Hope this helped!Good Luck!

Do you like to go school supplies shopping?

I'm going to be a 12th grader... however, i am DYING to school supplies shop!! I love it! I love getting new supplies, the smell, the look, the excitement, the frenzied moms everything about it is fun!I used to get the mead notebook binders but they keep breaking so i think i'm going to get regular 1 inch binders that are in pastel colors. And i love those little notebooks with animals on them. WOOHOO ... now back to looking for school supplies deals for this week. >:)

School supply list for 10th Grade?

-Notebooks for each class, for the AP class, try getting a thick notebook with lots of pages if you think
there will be a lot of note-taking. ^^
- At least 1-2 highlighters.
- Pencils (If they're wooden, don't forget the sharpener!) If they're mechanical, don't forget the lead. :)
- Pens (Red and blue/black)
- An eraser
- Binders if the class requires them.
- If it's allowed, possibly a calculator.
- Binder with loose leaf paper in case you run out of space in a particular notebook.

That's about it basically.. :)

BQ: 9th And I can't wait! :D
BQ2: Are you kidding? I love it. I'm basically counting down the days till I get to go school supply
shopping. :)

When is the best time to go school supply shopping?

Go after.
If you go before, you might end up getting unnecessary things.
What I do is:
Mylittle brother's school gives them a supply list before hand, so when we go shopping for him before school, I get a one inch binder, 1 pack of notebook paper, dividers, pens and pencils. I se up the bider to divide each of my classes, then put paper inbetween. I put the pens and pencils on my bookbag pocket. On the first day i'll be able to write down quick notes for each class because of how i set up my binder. Then after school i go to walgreens and pick up what i dont have.
simple, time and money saving!

High school supplies?

I'm a senior, and that's pretty much all you need every year. Though, highlighters, sharpie, colored pencils, scissors, and a small stapler make things sooo much more easier. Glue sticks as well. You'd think you wouldn't need this stuff in HS but you actually do quite a few projects That need this stuff. Teachers usually provide it, but sometimes get a little pissy if you don't have it! Also composition notebooks, I'd recommend a few of these, teachers love these and usually at least two of my classes has them as a requirement. Some teachers also require separate binders just for their class, but that's rare. As long as you have pencils, pens(which aren't really necessary I've never used them for a class unless I forgot a pencil), paper, binders, and dividers(which aren't really required either they just make stuff simpler) then you're good to go, unless you want to get the extras, I always do, colored pencils definitely. Good luck! Hope you don't hate highschool as much as I do.

School Supplies For Senior Year?

-half inch binders ( to reduce backpack weight )
-Graph paper
-loose leaf(lots) ( I'd say wide rule for essays , college rule for notes - hate wasting paper .. -_- )
-tab dividers ( a must to organize notes, classwork , homework , hand-outs , test grades , etc. )
-Pencils (mechanical of course)
-Colored Pencils ( recommended for the graph paper )
-Pens Red, black, blue ( all these colors for correcting )
-Highlighters ( tab important notes )
-White out or Correction Tape
-Dictionary ( Since you would obviously have to do a lot of grammar )
-Graphing Calculator like Ti83 ( preferable for most schools if taking advanced classes )
-12 inch Ruler
-Folders ( to separate homework, hand-outs, etc )
-Reinforcements labels
-Hole punchers ( if teachers give you hand-outs , and you wanna just slip it in your binder )
-Notebooks with subject dividers with a folder for handouts works well too.

Hope This Helps . :)
