Searching For The Name Of The Artist That Went Missing

My tattoo is missing ink?

I have a small letter "A" on the top of my hand between my index finger and thumb. It is smaller than a penny. I got it done a week ago by an apprentice who did a good job, but now that it has scabbed and that skin has fallen off, the ink is very light and missing spots so that the "A" is now splotchy. He said I might need to come back and get it retouched(which I do), but I wanted to know how long I should wait. My skin heals fast naturally, and there really was no bleeding or pain or itching when I got my tattoo, or afterwards. Its just that when it scabbed and that old skin fell off, so did the ink with it. No pain or scars, just missing ink. I'm assuming he didn't go deep enough?

Mice eating other mouse?

To my knowledge one of my mice escaped, she was an escape artist and escaped a few times before. This time I couldn't find her. She had a companion mouse. Today her companion died and it has been a few weeks since my escape artist went missing.
As I cleaned out her cage I found a fur ball that seemed to be the same color of the mouse that escaped, and seemed to be attached to dried up skin. But there was no bones, just a bundle of fur. Did my mouse eat the other mouse? If so, why and where were the bones?

Does it amuse you when people call something like this "art"?

I was there, in fact I got lost in the exhibition for almost an hour. I think it's art in its truest and most purest form. It's a very beautiful and symbolic display. The difference between this and crossing paths and making brief, shameful eye connection with a bum is that you aren't absorbing his solitude or pain, you aren't becoming one with him, you are looking on as a stranger from an exterior. Essentially Marina Abramovic is metaphysically sculpting time, she was in a meditative trance that was truly a spectacle to witness. Quite frankly I enjoyed that more than seeing Monet's water lilies.

QueenofYack, you can call it a problem with society as a whole, the fact that we lack the emotion to connect with one another in every day situations, but art can be a reflection of culture and society.. As I'm sure you read the New York Times link to familiarize yourself with the exhibit, you must have seen the pictures of numerous people in tears. One thing art does is allow one to reflect, reflect upon the nature of humanity and the nature of our being; Are these people crying for themselves, is it something in this exchange which enlightens emotions within them? I doubt that every time you pass a homeless person on the streets you tear, or perhaps even stop to reflect as to why the person is in such a predicament. In fact, it is likely that most people even judge the person without knowing anything about them. Does it take a bold display to remind us of our environment? Apparently so, otherwise this discussion would not be a discussion, and her act would be inane. Art is a reflection, and the fact that this allows us to pose the question of whether it is more meaningful or not than a speechless, everyday interaction, makes this a success, in my opinion.
Do we really need to attach someone to a materialistic sense to assume their pain? What is beautiful about this is that you do not need to see someone subject of starvation, violence, or misfortune to understand their pain, it is assumed in everyone. Aren't the tears a testament to this? If you need to see a homeless person to recognize pain, that is not only ignorant but materialistic. Art surpasses materialism (not only objects such as money, but our physical being entirely) in the metaphysical sense. I myself am assuming and rationalizing my thoughts by attaching emotion to this situation, simply as a vanishing mediator which can be assumed by any emotion, or so you speak.

My tattoo artist said to expect some scabbing but it never did, is this bad?

Also, in some small portions of my tattoo after the healing process, the ink is all gone. It is normal skin color. Does this mean that my artist did not go deep enough? I asked a few people that responded saying it did not go deep enough because it did not scab like the artist told me it should. Also the small parts in my tattoo the ink is gone completely. Any thoughts are appreciated. No negative responses. The location of my tattoo where the ink is gone is not too noticeable but if you look closely enough you could tell it is missing. The ink used to be there for the first few months after but now is not. Like I said it is a small part of my tattoo but still somewhat noticeable.
