Walmart Self-Checkout?
First let me say, the person who answered walmart has hi-tech cameras is incorrect. Wal-mart is starting to get fiber optic DVR's for their security systems, but 90% of the stores have the worse camera images you can imangine. For your question, at the self checkout there is normally one person at the front kinda help desk. The monitor on that desk shows what each person is scanning. That is one way the can watch and see. The other is the self checkouts have a weight system. The computer knows the weight to the ounce of every item in the store. If the weight of the item scanned does not match is flags the associate up front, also is something is bagged without being scanned it flags that associate.
At Walmart, can you buy condoms at the self checkout?
Let's face it, most of us have an uncomfortable feeling whenever we checkout our items and we're buying condoms. I look younger than I actually am, so I get weird looks. Anyway, I was wondering if you could check it out without having someone have to come and check your ID or something (similar to buying liquor at the self checkout).

What I'm wondering is at this present time can you buy condoms through Walmart's self checkout lanes? I hear a lot of "why not?" and "sure" but I haven't gotten a straight answer from anyone recently. So does anyone know if right now you can get them no problem? Does the attendant have to come and check your age? Any help would be great. If anything I'll just call them tomorrow. I know "If you're to scared to buy condoms, you're not ready for sex." It's not that I'm terrified, it's just the easier the better, everyone can agree with that ;D
Can Walmart come after you later for shoplifting at the self checkout if you get away?
They absolutely can. They won’t physically go after you. Instead they will make copies of the security camera recordings and file a report with the police. The police will then be the ones to go after you. If the amount stolen isn’t enough to warrant the trouble of filing a police report, they will still retain copies of the security camera recordings. Then everyone who works in Asset Protection will become familiarized with your face and you may very well end up banned from the store. If they have recordings of you shoplifting on multiple occasions, we can end up banned for life, which will add on a trespassing charge should you go into that Walmart. Sometimes they ban people for life from ALL Walmarts. In such an instance, should you be caught shoplifting in any store, they will prosecute for both stealing and trespassing. And as evidence each and every record they have will be provided to the authorities as evidence.
Can you buy alcohol in a Wal-Mart self checkout lane?
You can buy wine & beer in certain Walmart stores in AL depending on the county. There are 'dry' counties in AL. You can NOT purchase hard liquor in any store in AL other than a state liquor store (ABC stores). ('dry' counties) Twenty-six of Alabama's 67 counties do not allow the sale of alcohol. You have to be 21 years of age in AL to buy alcohol. Your niece would need a fake id (driver's licence) & Walmart has a very strict company policy - they will card everyone with the person who is trying to purchase the alcohol & if any of them are underage, they prob won't sell it..
