Septum Piercing Help

Help with my septum piercing?

i just got it done for the second time, (had to take it out because I couldn'tt flip it for work) and i think its really crooked.
When I got it done she pierced it with a banana bar, and I was really nervous and just said yes to anything she said, even though all i wanted was a bar that had been widened so i could flip it.

When she had done and cleaned it all up she said it was looking all good and i left but when i got hope i noticed that half the banana bar was up one side of my nose while there was nothing but the ball on the other, and it was very noticeable because one side of the piercing seems to be up higher and further back, but the other side where just the ball was there is lower and much closer to the front of my nose.

icouldn'tt go to work like that, so i put a different ring into my nose after i pulled it apart a little more, i cleaned itthoroughlyy with hospitalsterilizerr before i put it in. I've flipped it back and haven't pulled it out since. Will this be bad for the piercing?

Should I go down and ask for them to put a properly widened bar in? I only had it doen 3 days ago, so i doubt they will do it. I don't want it to be crooked but I would rather it be crooked than gone.

How do Istraightenn it? and I'm taking anti biotics, will that help with healing?

Why won't my septum piercing heal ?

It's time to look at possible metal allergies or the chance that your piercing is placed incorrectly.

If you are being irritated by your jewelry, your piercing will take a long time to heal or refuse to heal. It is entirely possible to be sensitive to the surgical steel jewelry that is used in some piercing shops. Regular 316L surgical steel contains nickel and can irritate people with sensitivities. It's also possible to be able to wear regular earrings but to still be sensitive to nickel in a body piercing, especially an unhealed piercing. To see if this is the issue, find yourself a piece of jewelry that is made of Implant Grade surgical steel (316LVM), titanium, niobium, or medical grade plastic.

If switching jewelry does not solve the issue, have a reputable professional piercer examine your septum. It's possbile that you weren't pierced correctly. When a piercing is not placed appropriately it can be subjected to pressure or irritate the cartilage of your septum. This obviously would stress the piercing and halt healing.

If it turns out you were incorrectly pierced, life will probably be easier if you remove the piercing, allow it to heal, and then have someone pierce you correctly.

In the meantime you can try some sea salt soaks to see if that improves your comfort any.

How do you make a septum piercing heal faster?

just hide it in your nose and leave it there until it's done. if you really want it to heal, shouldn't it be worth it not to have the ring in for a bit? touching the piercing as little as possible and cleaning twice a day with 1/4 tsp sea salt in a cup of warm water will also help a lot.

How do i get my septum piercing to heal faster?

just clean it twice a day - morning & night.

it should be healed within a month, i would say.

How painful is a septum piercing?

I just had mine done. I had read a lot on the subject and I found out that it hurts when you get your cartilage pierced. However, the septum should be pierced in something they call "the sweet spot". This is a thin layer of skin between the tip of your nose and your cartilage. When I decided to get my septum pierced, I made sure the piercer would check for my sweet spot (as I learned, not everyone has it) and she found it, saying I had the best septum for piercing. I really wanted this piercing but I am extremely sensitive to pain. And I told her I had researched as much as I could about this. I was really scared she would make any of the mistakes I found all over youtube. She was super professional. Before I go on talking about the pain, let me just tell you that I found out some videos like this one, in which people complain about some numbness in their faces, some headache, etc. I read that this happens when you hit the cartilage. But I know that each one of us reacts in different ways to pain. I'm not sure if it's supposed to feel like that. But I'm not a piercer. So, what did I feel?First of all, I felt a huge discomfort while she was pushing the clamp. She said she was making sure she had the sweet spot, so she pulled my nose a lot, I was feeling like she was turning it inside out. Then she explained that she was about to pierce. I was already feeling so much pressure, that the needle didn't hurt me much more. I would say it hurt 2/10. And the amazing thing is that as soon as she was over, it didn't hurt at all. I was feeling the ring, felt a tiny bit of burning while she was cleaning, but I was surprised at the fact that it wasn't feeling sore. I went home, cleaned it, and four days have passed. Although I'm careful with it, it still doesn't hurt, it just burns when I clean it in the morning. I even blew my nose already (soflty of course).Ok, maybe I just got lucky with my anatomy, but I wish everyone would have a similar experience. If you're planning on getting one, please do your homework and get yourself a good professional.

How to make a septum piercing heal quickly?

I pierced my septum about 2 days ago and I've been cleaning it with sea salt water and warm water. . It been getting crusty (as most piercings do) but it's a horrible burning sensation when the ring moves D; it's so bad that it sometimes makes my eyes water and I'm also hiding it from my family so I have to flip it up alot which is horrible.... how can I make this healing process faster? (I'm sure that it's not infected)
