I already have a domain hosted on my iPage account (that came free with the account), but I just bought another domain today with GoDaddy (because it was cheaper than what iPage was offering). iPage says you can host an unlimited number of domains with my plan, but this domain is registered by GoDaddy. My domain registrar has a very practical user interface for me to change DNS records and is popular enough for any changes to be distributed reasonably fast. I’ve tried a few hosting providers but they seem more limited in their DNS options and distribute slower.I would keep them with your domain registrar unless the host can provide a better alternative.Do keep in mind that the name servers you pick will also determine who has control over your domain. This also include any malicious attempts to modify your DNS settings. Your registrar already contains the link to your name servers so if they get hacked, everything is lost.
