Should I Cremate Or Bury My Hamster I Need To Know Soon

Should I cremate my hamster?

That is totally up to you. There are pet cemeteries that do that and maybe vets offices that do it-cremation. The cemeteries obviously do both. I am not a personal fan of being buried, so I would have him cremated. It's a personal decision-up to you. Nothing strange about cremation of your pets. I know many people who have it done (their pets) and I plan to when the time comes. Sorry to hear about your hamster.

How can i cremate my pet hamster at home when d time comes?....any ideas?..the real deal cost a hec of alot.?

If you follow Faster's advice, be prepared for a not too pleasant smell - and it might also bother your neighbors.

You can skip the cremation, dig a grave and bury the hamster in your yard. Have a funeral if you want to. Make a grave marker with a stone or plant.

What should i do with my dead hamster?

Hey, things come and go as life does.
My most prized possesion, (my favourite mouse Nibble) died last March 17 2009. Yes, just last month. She was a manx mouse, that means she has a stumpy or no tail. She was long haired and very intelligent. She could jump long distances and run very fast......all of a sudden, one afternoon, I went to get her to show my friend on webcam, and she was dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~What to do~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First, I know how you feel about the moving house thing. 3 of my fish died in my last house and I buried them there, and we moved about 2 years ago.
The best thing is, get to know the people who live there so you can visit them etc.! I did that! DO NOT cremate your hamster or leave it rotting in a jar. Bury it and give the grave flowers and DO NOT dig it up.
When you die, do you want your mum to dig you up and put you in a jar and decide what to do with your corpse? NO!
Just bury the poor thing and move on....she will always be there with you. Remember that.
Just wondering?? is it weird to cremate hampsters??
well one of my hamsters is freakin old and he's a cambells dwarf. would it be weird if i took him to the vet to cremate him when he dies?? and how much ashes can the tiny little thing make?? how big would the yearn be??
~weird question i know lol~, but i can't burry him because of all cats would dig him up. and im not throwing him away when he dies... thats just mean
What do I do with my dead hamster's body?
I live in the city and don't have a garden to bury him. When our cat died 6 years ago, a friend let us bury him in her garden, but I can't ask again! There's a park across the road but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to bury animals in a public park. And I really think having him cremated would be over-the-top!
My hamster just died. What should i do? The ground is frozen so I cant bury her...?
Im not sure what I should do with my hamster, i've heard of people putting it in the freezer until the spring when they can bury it... but is there any other option? I mean, thats sort of nasty especially since I only have the freezer attached to my fridge... I wasnt sure what regular protocol is... because lets face it, i dont want a dead hamster beside the ice cubes.
My hamster died yesterday and i was wondering will it be costly to have him cremated?
You really need to call around to local animal crematories. Prices vary based on location. Be aware that when you cremate you get a very small amount of ash and bone returned. The body is mainly water and all this is lost in cremation. I had a small breed dog(15lbs) which was cremated and I got about 1.5 cups of cremains returned.
