im having exactly the same issue! i have brown eyes, brown hair, tanned skin but no freckles, and im looking to dip dye my hair. my friends and i have decided to dye my hair a darker brown, and dip dye it a dark red. not flame red like i see on most girls, but a burgundy, darkish red so it looks like my hair fades to that colour. by the sounds of it that would suit you too :) if not, maybe try a dirty, dark blonde? that would look good too. but red with dark brown hair looks amazing. good luck! im sure you'll look gorgeous anyway

Yea dip dying is so popular now since its summer! You should dip dye your hair about one or two inches, which is about how long your split ends are (unless you have recently cut them) because if you don't like your dip dye you can just cut it off with no problem. Yes I think it would look great on you and it really doesn't matter how long your hair is.

I already have my hair dip dyed red :P hehe I've had it purple, then light brown, then orange-y and now it's red. My hair isn't damaged though, I've only bleached the tips once :) This summer though I want to dye my hair a flashy colour but I'm not sure whether to do like an electric sky blue or a cute bubble gum pink. Either way it would contrast with my natural hair, which is very dark brown, almost black. I have medium-long dark brown hair which I ombred (pretty much bleached the ends and gradually faded up to my natural color) last summer. I cut most of the blonde off, so now the ends of my hair are a dirty blonde. I want to dip dye my hair Manic Panic Forest Green. I know it'll show up because the bottom of my hair is still light from the ombre. I can't have dyed hair for school, so will it fade out by the end of summer (10 weeks)? Or will it fade in a week and look gross? Thanks!

Yes, but it won't be easy.First, you would have to decide what color you want the hair to be. For example, let's say you want it yellow. Then, you will need to straighten your hair. Yellow is generally a level 8 or 9. You would then need to thoroughly saturate the desired length of hair with the scalp lightener (bleach) and 30 volume developer mixed together in equal parts.It would be wise to separate the hair into sections so the "bleach" will lighten the hair properly and evenly. Leave on hair for up to 50 minutes. Watch the hair carefully. You'll want to make sure that you don't lift the color past the yellow stage.If you haven't quite reached the hair lightness after 50 minutes, then you will need to wash out the lightener and start over, but this time using a 20 volume developer. At this point the hair at the ends should be a yellow color.Wash thoroughly, dry, and straighten. Put the yellow color of your choice into a bowl and dip the lightened hair into it. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. Rinse out and you're done!

Lately I've been really bored with my hair but I don't want to cut it short again. I want severe change, so I was thinking of dip dying the tips of my hair pink? Is dip dye out of style now and is it considered trashy be aide I really want to do it! I have dark brown hair so I think it would look cool with hot pink, plus I'm an artsy kid so I feel like this would help me to express myself more. (Not allowed to get tattoos or piercings)
