Should I Pierce My Ears Again

Can I get my ears re-pierced AGAIN for the third time?

Yeah, you're right and should get them re-done by a professional piercer at a shop. Piercing guns cause trauma to the tissue it shoots the jewelry through which isn't good.
However, 2 weeks is typically much too soon to change your new piercings at home on your own. At least a month should pass before having any jewelry changed, which should probably also be done by a professional for sterility concerns. You should never take out the jewelry of a fresh piercing (2 weeks is still considered a fresh piercing) on your own. It sounds like trauma was caused by what was done, which typically results in pain and swelling, and infection is a concern. Also, just cleaning replacement jewelry at home isn't enough for a fresh piercing. It needs to be sterilized in an autoclave to prevent infection. And taking them out for a few days, then reinserting them, was the worst thing you could have done.

Stop into a shop, tell them what the deal is, and have them look at your ears. Have the piercer take them out for you, and let them fully heal for a long time. Then go back and get them done at a shop. Have the shop deal with removing them because there is a risk of bacteria getting trapped within the piercing site, when the tissue starts to heal; healing around bacteria or infection will obviously cause more problems for you. Wait longer than December. To be safe give the healing time at least 6 months. Once it's done healing, you should most likely be able to get them repierced with no problem. (uhh also, if there is a hard swollen lump where your piercing is, thats usually the sign of an infection. hate to be the bearer of bad news!) :/

How long till i can pierce my ears again?

Hey there,
i got my ears pierces like normal in october, and i was just wondering when i can get my ears pierced again just above the one i got in october.
the piercing was like on my ear lobe, like a normal piercing, and i want one just above that one.
Thanks :)

Can I pierce my ear (fourth hole) again?

Do NOT repierce it!
The ball may need to be checked if it oozes or grows.

The ball can be a keloid (scar tissue) or a cyst, which will release debris into your skin after it has been punctured. Then, you will get an infection!

For now, keep it clean and try not to seal the infection in your ears.

Good luck!

Do guys pierce one or both ears?

Either is fine, fairly mainstream now and accepted by just about everyone. It’s a matter of taste. I had my left ear pierced back when guys only had one ear pierced. Some years later, when it became the style for guys to wear earrings in both ears, i had the right ear done. But there are still a lot of guys out there who have just the left ear pierced. Sometimes I revert to wearing an earring just in he left ear. Again, it’s all a matter of personal taste. For me the important thing for guys is to choose earrings that are simple and manly. I have a collection of small studs and hoops. Hoops don’t seem to be as much in style as they were a couple of years back, but I like them so I still wear them. But then again, I have kind of an independent streak. I’ve had a beard for years. Awhile back they supposedly went out of style, but I liked mine so I kept it. Now everybody’s growing a beard again…. I’m the only one of my cousins who has pierced ears or a beard or long hair. So I think it’s kind of distinctive.

Getting my ears pierced again but i play sports....?

So I do all star cheerleading and they tell us we can't wear jewelry of any kind when we practice and I want to get my ears pierced again for the second time (above my first piercing on the lobe) But my mom says I have to keep it in for a month but as you can see I can't do that because I have to take it off at practice. Is there any way I can get it pierced and being able to take it off during practice and put back in after wiht out it being infected???

My cousin said she used alcohol to wash her earrings after her practices and hers didn't get infected. But idk.

Should I get my ears pierced again if they got infected the first time?

It would depend on what caused the infection. For example, if you got pierced with a material that you’re allergic to and didn’t change it out, the area could get inflamed and you could get an infection that way. Or if you were using an inappropriate aftercare routine, that could contribute as well. As long as you go to a reputable peircer who uses implant grade materials and proper aftercare (sterile saline), you shouldn’t have very many issues.

If I have Keloids can I still get my ears pierced?

You can't predict when or if a person will form a keloid scar. If you have any, then you definitely have the tendency. If you don't, then you may not. You don't describe one at the old piercing site, it does simply sound like the usual healed piercing site. You would not want to repierce at that exact same spot, though. If you wanted to go ahead and have them pierced, I suggest that you use something like Mederma as soon as the original spot heals enough to use it. For the first week or two, use the special solution the shop should give you. Don't use hydrogen peroxide, salt water or alcohol on them at all. Also make sure the stud is made of surgical stainless steel, not gold or silver. Get a plain stud, a small ball or something, and not a jewel setting either. You can ask a doctor for his opinion, of course, as to whether the spot on your ear is scar or keloid, but he won't be able to tell you or predict if you will form a keloid or not. That depends on your body.

Can you get your ears pierced for the third time?

Yes. Once they're pierced, douse them TWICE EVERY DAY with alcohol until they heal. Also, turn the posts every day after dousing the ear lobes with alcohol, to keep the scar tissue from binding to the post. It may hurt a little the first few times, but nothing significant.

Use either 14K gold or better (18K is best) or surgical steel posts when you have your ears pierced; anything else will cause a reaction, and you'll be right back where you started. Do NOT take the posts out for at LEAST six weeks, but keep dousing your ear lobes twice a day with alcohol. DO NOT allow somebody to talk you into "sea salts." They're utterly bacteria-laden - plain table salt would be better, and it's not good enough.

I would suggest getting your ears pierced by a doctor this time around. You're almost certain to have at least SOME scar tissue from previous attempts, and a doctor can get around that.

I had my ears pierced when I was 18; I'm about to turn 58 on my next birthday, and my piercings are doing just fine.

If you can't follow those instructions at this point, then maybe it's better to wait until you're older and have more patience before trying to get your ears pierced again.

How long should I wait to get my ear repierced?

You really shouldnt have to wait long. if youre talking about a lobe piercing, they fully heal themselves within 2-4 weeks of piercing anyways. lobe piercings are VERY easy to clean if they are infected.

You can pierce them at any time really, its just a lobe. that ball, is actually where the piercing was and had formed the new wall around where the stud used to be. its normal... that may take a while to go away. Meaning, your right ear healed to the stud faster than your left.

if you go and get them redone.... DONT TAKE OUT THE STARTERS for MONTHS. just to be sure. you may have ears that will close easily. mine, i can go 6 months without anything in them. and hell if you do take out your starters, just put a new earring in them. dont let them go without! defeats the purpose of piercing them.

i have 10 ear piercings, 6 of them are lobe piercings.
