Should I Star Playing World Of Warcraft [serious Question]

Should I start Playing world of warcraft?

I brought wow since the release, and never regretted it. The best game i have ever played. It gets bashed alot just like other MMO's by people stereotyping but dont give in. Its an amazing game. Yes the game takes ALOT of skill, especially towards the endgame content (raiding, or in particular - arena). You meet tons of new people from different countries and nothing beats the feeling you get when 25 people go into a raid with the same goal and down a boss you have wiped on for 2 months :D.

WoW is pretty much a pick-up and play style game, you will get hooked i can asure you this. The actual ingame play is fairly easy to grasp the BASICS. However there are thousands of tips etc, i myself am still learning :) theory craft is the ingame mechanics and its effectively an A- level maths degree when you get deep into it, but on the surface wow is a great game, you dont have to worry about the deep mechanics unless you are a spec-nerd :P.

Customization goes as far as changing the face and hairstyle of your character at the moment, but in the next expansion pack (Wrath of the Lich king) lots of new goodies will be released (abilty to change more, customize dance moves -TBA),

try out the trial. Its an amazing game, the game REALLY starts at lvl 70 when you start to raid / pvp. Good luck!

Should I start playing World of Warcraft?

I have been playing wow for about 6 months now. The game itself is not actually that addicting. What is addicting is the people you play with and the end portion of the game is very group oriented. If you are going to log on and just play with your brother in law as a casual fun activity for the two of you to do, I'd say go for it! However, have some limits with it. I am currently a person trying to recover from a wow addiction problem but mine stemmed from being in a state of transition-currently not working or going to school, too many hours of unstructured time, etc. If you have a job which starts at 8 and you need to be up by 7 to be on time and you know you need your 8 hours of sleep each night to function properly the next day, set a limit that you will quit by 10:30 and set an alarm. Too many people will stay on all night long and say to themselves, I just want to run one more dungeon or finish one more quest or get one more level... etc so forth. If you are the kind of person who will blow off going to bed or might be late to things because you always need to finish that one more... don't play this game. However, the statistics I have seen say that about 40% of the people that play wow are addicted to it. That means 60% of the people on there are not letting it affect their jobs or schoolwork or personal life to a large extent. My gm has actually gotten to the point where his daughter lives with grandma now because he and his wide play wow all night long. They probably clock in about 12 to 15 hours of wow a day and don't see their own child very much because of it. However I have seen a friend of mine who logs on most night and will raid occasionally (which is like a big dungeon you go to with a big group) but who has very set limits and logs off by a certain time each night and puts his family first. The game is a casual hobby for him and he still has a successful family life and a decent job. I also know young men who are balancing going to school, working full time, doing stuff with their families and friends, and playing wow with no real issues as well. It is a really incredible game that can be a lot of fun and has some really nice people out there. As long as you can keep boundaries, you'll be fine.

Should i start playing world of warcraft?

I play... It's really fun, you meet a lot of new people. Some people you may not see after that dungeon or raid ever again but you can meet some really cool people. I met someone on WoW when I started a human paladin and now we are level 60's together (I have an 80 i am teaching him how to play as we go a little bit). But also it can be costly and addicting. All in all it's a really great game, and if you have any questions email me or if you don't know anyone who plays and you are just starting to play throw me an email and I will help you level ad teach you about the game. By the way... If you don't have a microphone for your computer and you start to play, get one, it will help you out in the long run. Should I start playing World of Warcraft in 2017 for the first time?

Is it going to last… probably. While this is 2016 data (courtesy of Polygon) the game will probably last until 2020 at least. If it takes you 3 years to finish an MMORPG, you’re a really, really casual gamer already. However, is it worth playing for the first time… probably not. The level curve has ramped up high enough that you will basically require gear from content few people will do with you to not be a liability in content that people are doing now. The community has ossified, and you’ll find it difficult to actually enter any group - while you may enter, you’ll probably find yourself to be ‘the permanent newcomer’, where everyone has both more knowledge and experience than you, and you’ll feel like a semipermanent outsider.Lastly, WoW’s game mechanics are dated in the extreme. There are several MMORPGs out there with better gameplay, better cooperative support, better graphics, better story, better character customisation, more content… pretty much one of the only factors I can still think of to recommend WoW to an absolute first timer is being interested in Warcraft lore. Aside from that the primary retention factor for current players at this point is other players, not the game itself. This is not to say that WoW wasn’t one of the better options out there when it first came out, but anyone would be hard-pressed to keep a 13 year old design competitive after many other MMOs created better systems in an attempt to steal a share of its pie.Still if you’re really looking to play it, there should be some form of free trial available. It’s probably more productive to actually try it out than ask questions about it.If you want updated data, too bad. Blizzard has decided to stop releasing subscriber numbers ever since that last data point on the above graph (5.5 million). No prizes for guessing why.

I want to start playing World of Warcraft. How can I start?

Your pc should be able to handle WoW, although you may struggle in the larger multiplayer content. Lots of games have good graphics - WoW having it's own unique style - but regardless of that you will struggle to run high graphics on games with your current pc.World of Warcraft is a MMORPG - standing for massively multiplayer online role-playing game. You create a character and progress through the story with it, choosing your characters race and way they fight, magic they use, etc. Currently the game has 100 levels, although this will soon raise to 110 with the expansion expected early next year. While most of the games content is derived from being maximum level, you can try it for free and see if you enjoy the premise here: Play World of Warcraft online for free If you enjoy the game you can buy the 'base' game, which include the past 4~ expansions (they regularly fold old expansions in so you don't have to buy them all), and once you have done that stuff you can buy the latest expansion - Warlords of Draenor. Next year Legion will release. You can't play world of warcraft offline legitimately. The game is designed around player interaction and being in an open world with others.

Should I start playing World of Warcraft? Why or why not?

To the person that says wow ruined there Friends lives. Yes it can be addictive but i have met some of my best Friends through this game. My wife and I played for 2 years. We both stopped and we ended up moving to an area where a guildy lived and now i make 3 times what I made before because I work with that guildy. So not all bad things happen. The main people that we grouped with actually meet in Vegas and had a blast there were 15 of us. none of us are nerds we all just enjoy playing a game. To the poster you can always just get the trial at like game stop they sell it for $3 the trial will walk you through the setting up of the game and also offers help in game.

Should I start playing World of Warcraft again?

I started playing WoW a very very long time ago. About two years ago I joined a "raiding" guild and up until very recently I played WoW for as much as 50 hours a week(if not more). About a month and a half ago I quit playing because I realized that I was completely and utterly addicted to the game (this is after playing this game for 3 years and additively for almost 2). I decided to quit when I read this article about some kid being addicted to WoW and I realized that he sounded exactly like me. In addition to that, my grades sucked, I was completely ignoring my family, and my girlfriend whom I though I was in love with broke up with me because "I was so obsessed with a god damn video game." So I quit playing and I decided to focus on school, friends, football, baseball, and soccer. So it has been about a month and a half since I have logged on World of Warcraft and everything has been going very well (I completely uninstalled it from my computer, blocked any sites having to do with the game and had my best friend create a password for it that I would never figure out.) Just a few weeks ago though I started talking to some of my team mates and turns out that they play on a certain server and have a casual guild and they want me to come and play with them. So now I have a huge dilemma. I can: a.) start playing with them again and risk relapsing into addiction (realize that I have shown addictive behavior before in regards to this game and even if I say to my self playing "casual" I may trick myself into playing as "casual" as I did before when I was playing 50-70 hours a week) OR b.) not play with them and risk insulting them or losing their friendship (and possibly losing my girlfriend.)

What should I do?? HELP PLEASE

Should I start playing World of Warcraft? How much does it cost to play?

Ok. You should definetly get the trial first, but the actual game costs 15$ a month. Buying the disc itself will run you 30$, with a free month of gameplay included. Thatll keep you occupied until level 70, where you will have to purchase the other expansions, but believe me, you will have a good few months of fun before that, unless your one of the guys sitting at your computer 24/7.

And it's loads of fun. Lots of fun people to talk to, unlimited amounts of gameplay, and they add new content constantly. Only game i play anymore.

Should I start to play world of warcraft?

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
when i started it i thought "hey i can balance this game and my life." you can't. no matter how hard you try and i'll tell you why.
you must, MUST, join groups for any reason (instances, raids, quests) and it takes an average of 30-45 min. to get a group and all get to where you need to be. not to mention instances take about 1-2 hours and raids take 3-5 hours, quests can be any amount of time.
it took me a long time to quit, so trust me don't even try it. try WAR, it's like world of warcraft with more variety, more pvp, and less time used. but all in all it would be best to just stay away form any mmo rpg.

Should I start playing World of Warcraft again?

i will honestly say this game is a lot better when you play with your real life friends. it really is a cool way to hang out i agree.

when i played on Lightbringer it was just me and my fiancee and that was cool but when we made some characters on Burning Blade we are playing with people that we know in person so you can quest and do instances with people you know wont ninja and disrespect you.

if you have a lot going on and dont have free time then the obvious choice is to not go back.

i have taken breaks my self, its not always bad to do that either.
