At 5ft 2, yes, it’s extremely underweight. It is only about 73 lbs. At 5ft 2, even with a very slight build, you should be no less than around 90. BMI should be around 20 to be healthy. Now, we don’t know your story here on Quora. If you’ve literally just shot up to 5ft 2, you might also just about ready to suddenly fill out and just a naturally skinny person. However, if you’ve been doing bad things like starving or over-exercising, and I suspect you may have been because not many 12 year olds are bothered enough to know their BMI, then you need to be brave and tell your parents asap. Starving can stunt your growth, you will never hit puberty at the weight you are now and it can cause serious medical problems.

I agree with the other comments; take him to the vet ASAP. If a dog isn’t eating, which all dogs love to do, there is something wrong somewhere. If any of my pets have any unusual symptoms, throwing up, not wanting to eat etc., I give them an overnight length of time to see if it is something minor that resolves itself, and if not, I get him/her to the vet immediately.Right before Christmas 2016, my 10 year old golden retriever came in from an outside visit to the back yard, curled up by the back door and looked “different”. Just what I needed.I quickly got on my computer and found a pet taxi service (oh what luck!!!), and she came and picked us up, got us to the clinic and stayed with us for the better part of 2 hours and drove us home again. Angels were watching over me that night.As it turned out, my dog, Gingersnap, had pancreatitis, we don’t know how it happened, but it did. And it’s not just something that makes dogs sick, it’s quite painful as well. Winding this story down a bit more quickly, they did tests, bloodwork, gave me a sack full of pills and liquid medicines, but had I stuck with the “Mom rule”, she may have had to be hospitalized, or I may not have had a dog to spend Christmas with. She is now alive and happy, thanks to the tender mercies of the dog taxi lady and the fortune of having a vet clinic open at those hours. (There is an emergency clinic in town, but it’s extremely expensive.)So again, I recommend seeing a vet ASAP, as it could be one of many things wrong with your dog, and you sure don’t want your dog suffering with something that could be resolved quickly.Please take your dog to the vet.
