Stomach problems/ oxycodone/alcohol?
My boyfriend has been taking the pain medication for about 4 months (5mg) x5 a day and drinks real heavy-I am worry cuz he says he has been having stomach problems, empty feeling, etc-I know he has had ulcers in the past-is anybody familiar w/ this pain killer and it's effects mixed w/ heavy drinking?
What are some slang terms for vicodin/ hydrocodone?

How long is it safe to take hydrocodone for chronic pain?
I have been taking prescribed (by pain management) Norco which is 10/325 and it says take 1-2 tablets 3x's per day!! I do not always take six of these a day of course. At night, I take Kadian (time released Morphine) 60 mg. I am worried that I could become addicted and that when they stop giving them to me I will hurt worse and have much bigger problems. My pain management doc has no problem with what I take and give me steroid injections also. His office makes you sign a "narcotics agreement" and I have had to take a urine test once so far to test levels of medicine and for street drugs. Do these pain management doctors really care if you get addicted and can they tell? Does everyone become addicted? I have taken hydrocodone for a long time with periods such as 3 pregnancies and such that I did not take it and had not noticed any foaming at the mouth or anything!!!! Is is possible for someone to use these drugs responsibly for long periods of time if necessary to live a better quality of life without AS MUCH pain! What are the signs of addiction? I mean he could cut my dose and I would be fine with that, but I to tell the truth would go nuts if I thought I could not take ANY more and just deal with the pain that is persistant, daily, and severe. BTW cervical, thorasic, and lumbar herniated disks and such. Lots of spine problems to make it short. Supposed to get surgery on my neck, can't feel thumb or forearm. I am so scared, I also take xanax, zoloft, fiorocet, naproxen. Both my primary and pain management know about all of my meds.
How long after taking Oxycodone can you take Suboxone? Why is that waiting period recommended?
If you are not a regular opiate user and have no dependancy on them you may take a percocet or any opiate for that matter and take the suboxone immediately after or at any time after . If you are a regular user of opiates and percocet and you try to take it after taking one than you must wait ideally 24 hours as a rule of thumb.Yes there are those who dont have severe dependencies that can get away wit only waiting 12 to 18 hours and can start the suboxone with little to know problems but this is a very sensitive issue and I would highly recommend never starting under 24 hours and even then never start with more than 2 mg. Wait for one hour and if the 2mgs didn't make the withdrawal worse than take 2 more mg. If you feel relief and need more than take the other 4 mg and wait 2 more hours to see if that is enough.Also there are those who start suboxone that are not completely committed to taking it and who still crave heroin and opiates like percocet who will use the suboxone in the am than wait till eve when its worn off slightly and also take the percocet on top of it. If this happens you can take the suboxone again without issue but if you take the percocet more than just that one time and than try to take the suboxone it will throw you into immediate withdrawal and a very extreme case of it just like not waiting the whole 24 hours has the potential to do to you.I want to also add that there is a myth that subutex will not cause this the same way the suboxone does since it lacks the naloxone that suboxone has in it. This is false. It is not the naloxone that causes the effect. Will Hydrocodone and Codeine both show up the same on a drug tests?
On a drugs test they will show up as the same thing. The only two possible different opiates from the drugs you have mentioned are codeine or thebaine and they cannot be distinguished between in a drugs test. Depending on when you took them and when your drug test it it may show up higher levels than usual, but they will not be able to tell the difference. On another point, do NOT take more than the prescribed amount of painkillers. The paracetamol which is inside (all drug co.s put paracetamol inside too) will do serious damage to your liver. Small, (0-10) tablet overdoses done gradually, over a period of time they do a lot more damage to your liver than even a one off huge OD. Not to be condescending, but take only what your doctor orders. The amount of people iv seen dead/on dialysis due to liver failure is immeasurable
I have a prescription for vicodin, can i pick it up even tho im a minor?
i know i can pick up my other medications but im wondering if i can get vicodin for myself it is presribed to me but im 17 and i dont want my mother to know ive been taking the vicodin the doctor prescribed me because she doesnt believe i need it, i would rather just pick it up myself and not have to worry her. can i get it at the pharmacy by myself? btw i live in california and it woudl just be a refill and no i do not have a problem with vicodin, a bottle of 60 has lasted me since july. i am careful with it and only take it when i am really in pain.
