Should We Take Africa

We Should send these monkeys back to Africa?

Some monkeys come from India, east Asia, and Central/South America also. But yeah, none domesticated animals should stay in the wild.

They are all savages; should we nuke africa?

you sir are a B*STRD.....what do you get get a kick outta posting these things...go get a life

(and if aids is a 'black' virus, why do white people catch it then)

Should we nuke Africa?

I think we should. I mean we've been throwing hundreds of billions of dollars for the last few decades and they're still in poverty, more than ever I'd say. I mean why are we bothering to help them? If we dropped several atomic bombs on the place I think it would be better for the world economy. Money could be spent elsewhere where it is more needed.

Can you get tan in Africa in summer?

Let me get this straight: " Africa is freezing during the summer..."???
Who's summer and which part of Africa? This certainly does not sound like the Africa I come from :)
During the African summer, it is very hot, humid and dry, and not only can you get a tan, you can also get seriously sunburnt.
During winter, it is cold, at times freezing, but you will also experience some sunny days.

Why should americans care about africa?

We shouldn't. Africa is Africa's problem. Most of the problems are self imposed and no solution is possible until the Africans decide they want a better life. Handouts solve nothing, they cause even more misery.

Do Americans have to get shots before going to Africa?

It depends what country you’re going to and what’s going on there at the moment, as well as how long you’re going for. For example, I’m heading to South Africa next week and there was a recent malaria outbreak in one of the regions I’m going to. I’ll be taking pills for the duration of my trip. They often say to consult a travel clinic doctor, but often, just for a consultation at those places you’re spending upwards of $150 for them to tell you what the Center for Disease Control & Prevention make clear. Go to the CDC website and type in where you are going and they will let you know what shots are recommended. You may have had them already. If you need things like malaria pills, your general practitioner can prescribe those for you.Safe travels! You can follow my travels at 'N A Perfect World with Nneya Richards © 2015 and on instagram Nneya Richards (@nneya) • Instagram photos and videos

How can we develop the African continent?

I think a lot of the local answers here have the right idea, but actually getting there is a whole different matter. It's easy to say that Africa should stop selling oil / natural resource and build their own processing facility instead, but how to actually get that money to do it, and all the supporting infrastucture and personel to make it work is once again, much easier said than done. One of the major reason that China's profile in Africa is getting so huge in recent years is partly because some Africans see China / East Asia as the realistic model for development, given that they're pretty much the only non-western countries to successfully transform their profile in a hurry in the post war period. The problem is that is overlooking the general issue that 1. Africa is resource rich and East Asia generally isn't (well China kinda is / was but compare to the scale and population it gets much less useful. ) so there wasn't any real resource curse issue.and perhaps much more importantly.2. East Asia's traditional society configuration and government tradition was increadibly strong, arguably even stronger than the west. their only real deficit was the technological aspect that that is much easier to make up for especially when they also have an increadibly strong academic tradition. once the East Asians figured out the West's game, they can play that game too and then some. This part is perhaps the greater problem for Africa in that a lot of them are stuck in a mid way point between tribalism and modern state. where tribes play a huge part in the politics regardless if it's a strong man or a democracy. It's ironic but it feels to me Ethiopia might have the best chance of breaking out in the next couple decades than the rest of the Sub Saharan / North of South Africa states, partly because... its essentially a communist - Leninst state, where the government has consolidated enough power and broken the traditional tribal structure enough (helps that Ethiopia is also the only state that has been a real state for centuries and not something drawn up a a few decades ago. ) It's also not that resource rich relatively speaking. For the rest of the continent, especially more in the Western half ( I'm a lot more optimistic on development in East Africa and Lake Victoria region. ) I feel we're still in for some rough times.
