Sims 3 Work On My Laptop

Why won't sims 3 work on my laptop?

Have you played any other High graphic rendering games on that computer?

Most games fail to launch because of graphics card.

Quick fix: try changing your screen resolution, check device manager to see if your VGA drivers are upto date.

Of you are sure your system meets the game requirement and still won't play, then maybe the Operating system is missing some files, but not likely

Will sims 3 pets ever work for my dell laptop?

so when i first got my dell inspiron M5030 laptop two years ago, i downloaded and purchased sims 3 pets off of Origin and it worked well for six months, no problems. after a while it started slowing down and freezing alot, i spent like 60$ on the game so i was upset about this. so i gave up on trying to make it work. my hard drive recently started to crash so i took it to best buy to get a new one and i decided to re-download Origin and try again since i have alot new space. will there be any more problems like previously with this game? or should it work fine? please let me know.
im hoping not all hope is lost!

Will The Sims 3 run on this (Acer) laptop?

I'm getting a new laptop and I really want to be able to play Sims 3 (+ the expansions) on it.
After doing some searching, I found this Acer Aspire AS4745G laptop. Do you think it will run Sims 3?

Some requirements for Sims 3:
2.0 GHz processor (XP) or 2.4 GHz processor (Vista) or equivalent
1 GB (XP) or 1.5GB RAM (Vista)
6.1GB of hard drive with 1GB additional space
128 MB video card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

Some facts about the Acer Aspire AS4745G:
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1066MHz
Processor: Intel Core i5-450M Processor 2.4GHz
Hard drive: 640GB S-ATA (5400rpm)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD5650 1GB DDR3

If this won't work, I'd appreciate getting a suggestion on some other laptop within the same price range. Thanks in advance!

(The Acer comes with Windows 7, but I don't think it should be a problem. On the back of the expansion packs, it says that Windows 7 is supported. If it works with the EP's, it should work with the original game, I think.)

What’s a good laptop that will run Sims 3 and will work for college stuff? My budget is up to $650.

This Acer Aspire should get the job done for you. Basically what I looked for was a laptop that was between 13–15 inches (not to small but fits in a backpack), had 8 GB of RAM and an SSD (makes regular use feel quick and smooth), and had a somewhat competent CPU and GPU for Sims 3 (the i5 and integrated graphics should get the job done with some settings tweaks).Amazon says they only have 2 left, so don't take too long to make a decision.Have fun in college!https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspi...

Which laptop should I get to be able to play the original The Sims Deluxe, The Sims 2 Deluxe, The Sims 3 with all the expansions, and The Sims 4 smoothly? What specs should I look for?

It depends. Are you only going to use your laptop for playing games?Maybe you want to work on it as well. The Sims Series can run smoothly on most can run well on most machines but you said you want to play TS3 with all expansions and to be honest it is optimized like shit. How much money do you want to spend on a laptop? If you're willing to pay more I'd recommend the HP spectre it is a great option to for work and for light gaming. For a similar experience I'd even recommend a Macbook. The Macbook has its quirks though. TS4 runs smoothly and is a great experience on mac and it officially has a Mac version. For the rest of the games I'm not sure. It works with a Windows VM or Dual Boot too.If you're on a budget there's always the Lenovo Thinkpad or an older Asus/Lenovo laptop. If you go with a budget option you probably have to turn settings down a little even in TS4 and significantly in TS3.Most laptops can run any Sims game just fine on medium-low settings. Most laptops that I mentioned should run it well. A better i3 or an average i5 and a GTX 650+ could run it on high settings possibly.

Which laptop could I buy just for playing The Sims 3?

My wife plays it all the time on a Asus UX430 with a MX150 discrete graphics. MX150 is one of the cheaper GPUs you can get in a laptop and is frequently found in ultrabooks. It runs Sims 3 great, can even run some newer games.Sims 3 will actually run on integrated graphics, but you’d have to turn down the detail a bit for a smooth experience.

Is 129 GB Enough to Play Sims 3 on A Vista Laptop?

Well you wouldn't believe how many people ask about Sims 3.

And how many people answer these questions with the answer the asker wants to hear that crappy integrated graphics chips on laptops are going to run the game at full settings in an enjoyable manner.

At least you understand the huge difference between being able to see the game run on your laptop and actually being able to enjoy playing it.

In your case, if Sims 2 was not playable, you have zero chance with Sims 3 unless you get a new laptop.

The main thing you need is a proper graphics chip and you can use these lists to select one:

Try hard to get a 8800 or greater...

Why doesnt my Sims 3 work on my laptop Geeks needed?

Your disk drive could be having problems, try using another disk in the drive to see if it can read it. Drives do fail from time to time and you will need to replace it if it is failing. However if it is just a software glitch this might work: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/

Also, you might want to check your hard drive by installing and running this: http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/seatools/SeaToolsforWindowsSetup-1204.exe

If you don't want to do all of this or if it doesn't work, go to a local computer shop (do not go to Best Buy) and have them run some diagnostic tests.

Remember, they should know what they are doing, plus for a small fee it could save you hours of troubleshooting. How valuable is your time?
