Skyrim Ps3 Gamefaqs Save Help

How do I save my Skyrim game on PS3?

You can save by yourself, which is what I do to insure that I get save where I want them.
First - hit the start button
Next - click R1 a couple of times.
Now - you should be on a page where you will see "save" "load" "settings" and "quit"
Lastly - click on save, save your game, and you'll be able to save at any time except during combat.

Is there a PS3 Skyrim Save Editor?

The PS3 has protection and it is much harder to modify a Game save for the PS3. Chances are you won't ever see an editor for PS3. The Xbox 360 version has an editor already.

If you are to see an editor for PS3 it will take a relatively long time for it to be released due to the fact that oblivion for the PS3 never had one and it is very rare to find a way to modify the game save of oblivion on the PS3. If you really want to modify your gamsave by an xbox 360.

Skyrim new game deleted my old save? (PS3)?

I had a saved game of my level 15 or so main character and decided to play a new game for fun, now when i go to load my old save with my original character I cant find it, only the auto saves and loads for my "new" character. I looked in my Save Data Utility, but I still can't find it. Can someone help please? :(

{Skyrim} I can't save manually?

On my PS3, I can manually save while playing, by pressing the "start" button and going to the quest journal, then pressing R1 twice, then scrolling down and selecting "save." Sometimes it will be grayed out, if it just autosaved recently. Try running around a doing a few things, pick some ingredients, drop some items or something, and then see if it will let you initiate a hard save.

There's an autosave setting where you can have it autosave every time you go to your character menu -- the one with the "skills, items, magic, map" navigation -- or you can set it to save ONLY every 15, 20, or 30 minutes, or something like that, when you go to the character menu. Maybe dial this one down so it's not autosaving so frequently. And/or turn off the other autosaves. Which you should probably do on PS3 anyway, because the longer you play the larger your save file gets, and you'll be spending half your time waiting for the files to autosave every time you enter a building or go to the magic menu or whatever. I'm thinking if it's not autosaving so frequently, then the "save" option should be available for manual saves.

How do I transfer Skyrim PS3 Saves to my XBOX360?

You can. The saves actually are in the same format, this is evidenced by the ability to migrate saves from 360 to PC and back. However PS3 saves are encrypted, so you need to decrypt them first. Once you do this, you can transfer the PS3 save to PC, then from PC to 360.

Follow the procedure to get the save from PS3 to PC, then follow the procedure to get from PC to 360. I have done this (from PS3 to PC), and it does work.

Skyrim ps3 how can i make a new save file without that my old one gets deleted?

Easy and simple my friend:

Step 1: Just save your current file game

Step 2: Then create a new saved file game where you saved at the spot on step 1.

Step 3: Go Main menu

Step 4: Start new game.

For Additional Details:

As I said you have to create another new saved file. Just because you have 2 saved files doesn't mean it is possibly going to overwrite the good one.

Example 1: You wanna make a new game. You have 2 files saved already; however, the times that you saved them are very far apart. You start new game anyway thinking it will get rid of the old saved file, but instead it saves the current file you just saved and worked so hard on.

Example 2: You wanna make a new game. You have 2 files saved already; however, the times that you saved them are very far apart. Instead of starting a new game right away, you save your current file at the moment and then you create a new saved file. You go to start a new game. The new game overwrites the previously saved game; however, since you took this route you tricked the system into thinking you wanted to start completely fresh by getting rid of the currently saved game. Since you saved 2 files at the same time, 1 file got deleted, but the other one didn't; thus, you still have your good file.

Skyrim not letting me save?

Okay, so I used to play skyrim on my Xbox 360 and never had a problem saving. Since I bought a playstation 3 and gotten a brand new disc, it won't let me save. All the words are darkened, and the only one I can actually access is the help option. It won't even let me quit the game. I've waited a bit, letting it have a moment to catch up, but it doesn't seem to want to let me save. Anyone know if it's an update thing? If it's a ps3 thing (since my ps3 is a used one), or if I'm just going insane here?

Much appreciated!

Is there a website where I can download Skyrim save files on the PS3 legit with no mods?

Try it, hope it works

Is skyrim on ps3 fixed now with patch 1.9 ?

It should be fine. Some people say that 1.9 screwed up what 1.8 fixed, but neither I nor anyone I know of has had problems with 1.9 or legendary. I have a file size of 11 MB with Hearthfire and Dragonborn installed and it runs fine. One of my friends has a file size of 17 MB and it runs fine on his PS3 as well. I honestly have more freezing and glitches on Red Dead than I do on Skyrim; Skyrim got a bad rep for being laggy when it first came out, but it's nothing like what it used to be.

If freezing or lag become an issue, just uninstall the GAME data (not SAVE data) and DLC's and reinstall. The plain version of Skyrim should be installed first (Legendary comes with patch 1.9 so you don't have to install it separately) followed by the Dragonborn or Dawnguard DLC (optional). I have found it is best to install Hearthfire LAST, but that's just me. There's a guide that helps with Skyrim issues on the PS3 http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/615804-the-e...

Hope this helps!
