Which sneakers are best for wet weather?

Anything with a Gore-Tex liner will keep your feet perfectly dry in wet weather. Most major sneaker companies have at least one style with a Gore-Tex membrane in it.At Nike there’s a Wildhorse model with Gore-Tex. The letters “GTX” in a model name are the signifier.http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/p...Converse now has a whole line of water-resistant footwear too.http://www.converse.com/us/en_us...

Why are sneaker heads only fans of Nike shoes?

Most “sneakerheads” that have been collecting for a while (not newbies) have a personal affection for the 90s NBA or hip-hop music that got them to start collecting. Ex. Run DMC’s Adidas Superstars. Therefore, most sneakerhead that have been collecting for a while was amazed to see Michael Jordan. But, it wasn’t only Jordans that were popular in the 90s. The Nike Air Max 90s, 95s, or 97s, Charles Barkley’s Nike Air Max II CB are some examples of the shoes that were popular in the 90s. But, even of that era, sneakerheads collected shoes like the Reebok Kamikaze IIs or Allen Iverson’s Reebok Questions. The New Balance 574 (released in 1990) also gained fame.Moving on to the 2000s and 2010s, the Jordan Brand has re-released retro jordans for a while along with new models that grab the attention traditional and new sneakerheads. Nike, Adidas, Reebok has also re-released retro shoes and some have become widely popular again (Ex. Adidas Stan Smiths or Superstars, Nike Air Max 95).Most Sneakerheads, at least of the USA, has strong affection for the NBA. So with Kobe’s rise they collected Kobes, and so goes on for other players (Nike KDs or Lebrons even Kyries recently, Adidas D Roses or Lillards, Under Armour Currys too). And Nike sponsored players have dominated the league since the 90s (I’m not going to get into an argument about who has dominated the NBA. Nike signs the best players, and it can be proven). So, Nike has dominated the sneaker collecting market for long. But more recently, we’ve seen the rise of influence of hip-hop musicians in the sneaker collecting scene (they always had some influence, but it is inevitable rising). Ex. Puma Fentys by Rihanna, Adidas by Pharrell Williams, Nike Yeezys by Kanye West Adidas Yeezys by Kanye West, Golf Wang Vans by Tyler the Creators, and more. And with this influence along with the influence of Curry, Under Armour has risen in the sneaker scene. Adidas Yeezys nowadays dominate the sneaker scene with Adidas Ultra Boosts and NMDs. There is also a cult following for Asics sneakers (especially the ones in collaboration with Kith), Sauconys, and luxury brands like Rick Owens, Saint Laurent, Busecmi and more.So if they’re a “traditional” sneakerhead that only collects Nikes, they might have personal ties to the 90s NBA or so, but newbies entering the sneaker scene collect almost every brand unless they have an extreme loyalty to one brand.

What are some of the best sneakers to wear during a pregnancy?

Try them on and choose the ones you like best. You’ll want sneakers that are not too snug, because your feet will swell up. You’ll probably want good arch support and cushioning, and you’ll also want a lower profile sneaker instead of one with a thick platform-y midsole, because as you progress through your pregnancy your center of gravity will shift, and it’s good for you to be as close to the ground as possible, to help you keep your balance. Also, depending upon how you carry your pregnancy, you may want slip-ons so you do not have to bend down to tie them.

How can sneakers have collectible value?

Because when it comes to many sneakers nowadays, they are released in very limited quantities which in turn contributes to the massive demand for them. With a lot of the exclusive shoes dropping these days, there is always an imbalance in the supply and demand equilibrium such that those shoes always have aftermarket/resell values well above retail. Thus, in many cases, if you can hold those shoes for a considerable amount of time, they will continue to increase in value as no more pairs are being put into circulation/released to the market. Some examples: Off-White Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”, Tom Sachs Mars Yard, etc.

How can i get free sneakers?

You can enter contests via YouTube or various sneaker blogs. Some people within the sneaker community even have contests on various social media networks. Last summer SNS (a sneaker boutique) actually gave away free pairs of a collaboration they did with Puma. Supporters of the brand came out, and ate pizza and burgers with the owners of SNS in New York walked away with a free pair.Sometimes boutiques may offer loyal customers an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion, and give out gift cards. Reps also come out from different sneaker brands and hold events in stores. They may ask your opinion on a design etc. The companies may give gift cards as a thank you for your time. I mean it’s basically luck, and people out there who have a good heart. Mainly networking with fellow sneaker heads to see what’s out there in this global network of sneaker collectors. Some people are hollywood, some people are humble. Good Luck!

When people say that their sneakers are vnds. what does vnds stand for?

It means Very Nearly Dead Stock. Worn very casually and no more than 2 times.
I think it's something you would typically find on Ebay, or another site where people are selling used stuff.
