This means that you have antibodies in your system against the hepatitis B virus. If you have had the hepatitis B vaccination series in the past, your test result shows that the vaccine was effective-it caused your body to create antibodies against the virus, that is you're immune. If you did not get the vaccine and don't recall ever being diagnosed with hepatitis B in the past, it means you have had a hepatitis B infection in the past and your body responded by creating Hep B antibodies. Many times infection with Hep B is "sub-clinical", meaning that some persons exposed and infected with it do not have severe enough symptoms to seek medical care. Sometimes people who think they had a "touch of the flu" actually had a Hep B infection. Unless they went to seek medical care and got tested they would not know they ever had a Hep B infection. The Hep B surface antibody test is done to diagnose people who have had Hep B in the past or, in people who have received the Hep vaccine, it is used to assess their "immune status" to see if they had adequate antibody response after the Hep B vaccine. Hep B vaccine is among the routine childhood immunizations for some years now. Chances of getting into the university of Melbourne?
I have Australian immigration (permanent residency) but I'm still a Pakistani. In my CIE o levels I had 4As 4Bs and 1C, and I had ABB in A levels years 1 and my grades dropped to ACD in year 2 because I had fallen ill in my exams. I have applied for bachelors of commerce, business, finance ad banking in unimelb, monash, deakin and RMIT. My first priority is unimelb. What are my chances of getting in, do you suppose? :/ I have done internships as volunteer work intensively as well. I want to go into the business field, and I have gotten As in business subject my whole life. Also, if you think that's not enough, I Also giving a retake of my Accounts 'D' grade but I haven't told them this yet. Do you think I should tell them? Expecting an A this time. I finished applying yesterday and submitted and completed my application. Results come out in Nov do I'm super nervous. Thankyou in advance :)
Does AP Calculus BC look good if I take it in Senior year?
Taking BC would seem to be more advantageous than AB, but since this is your senior year and you haven't taken the tests yet, it's not really an advantage over AB, especially because the jump from Pre-Calc to BC is pretty common at many schools, so it's not as if you're that much more adept at math than other calculus students. It's your call on this, but at most, taking BC would only provide a very minor boost for your application.
