HUGE problem, scared, NEED HELP!?
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia I've always been a very good guy. (20 y/o, Christian). ...Long story short, I don't know why I did it, but a friend (a persuasive one at that) and I stole two sunglasses, totaling up to roughly 520 dollars. Crazy huh? Anyway, the store has evidence - cameras and all that. I was being so stupid. I've never done anything bad in my life. Here are the keynotes of my question: - I brought the glasses (very good condition - people always try them on there) back IMMEDIATELY. - They said they WILL NOT call the cops if I admit to it (tomorrow, we're going in to the store). - They said they WILL NOT press charges if we returned them within 30-minutes (I returned them within 2 minutes) - I froze up and lied (I NEVER lie), and told them I didn't have a part in the stealing - I will tell them the truth tomorrow - I was scared, so yeah. - I'm planning on asking them if I can do community service, as I feel horrible and I want to make it up to them SO BADLY. Based on this information... I know I will be banned, that's okay, but here are my actual questions: -what are some ways I can AVOID charges of any kind (if they were lying) -what are some ways I can make myself seem like the kid I am - a kind, gentle kid - and despite being banned, NOT get into too much trouble? -How can I have them NOT call my parents? -How can I show that I'm TRULY sorry and regretful? -How can I show them I'm actually a great kid? -Can I do community service IN PLACE of a bill or sepenea (SP) ? -What kind of trouble could you see me getting in here? -Think they'll let me off with a warning of any kind? (My parents are out-of-town and I don't want a bill showing up for the glasses - they were in the SAME condition. tag removed though - and I don't want a sepenea (SP) showing up, asking me to come to court - I can't have my parents finding out, they trust me 100% and it'd break their hearts. i need help on solving these: 5-(v-3)=7-2v 3k+4=-4(2/4k+-1/4) ive heard that there is a way to do these equations with 2 methods "substitution" and "elimination" ive never heard of these methods can anyone explain them. thank you very much to who ever answers.
