NEED SUPER MATH HELP!!!! due tomorrow!!!!!?

Investment in 5% money market fund—x:
0.08(2x) + 0.05x + 0.12($50,000 - 2x - x) = $54,500 - $50,000
8(2x) + 5x + 12($50,000 - 2x - x) = $450,000
16x + 5x + $600,000 - 36x = $450,000
15x = $150,000
x = $10,000

Investment in 8% income fund:
= 2($10,000)
= $20,000

Investment in 12% growth fund:
= $50,000 - $10,000 - $20,000
= $20,000

Answer: 8% income fund, $20,000; 5% money market fund, $10,000; 12% growth fund, $20,000

Check (balance of fund = $54,500):
= $50,000 + (0.08[$20,000] + 0.05[$10,000] + 0.12[$20,000])
= $50,000 + ($1,600 + $500 + $2,400)
= $50,000 + $4,500
= $54,500

Please Help Me solve these rational expressions. Due tomorrow?

1. Simplify the rational expression:
x2 – 7x + 12
x2 – 16
This is a fraction
THis should be x^2-7x+12 as a numerator and x^2-16 as the denominator!

2. Divide:
x2 – 3x + 2÷x2 – 1
7x – 14 7x + 7

These are fractions
This should be x^2-3x+2 as first fractors numerator and 7x-14 for the denominator then divided by the fraction x^2-1 as numerator and 7x+7 as denominator.

3. Simplify:
√[49x12y4z8]
In the brackets should say : 49x^12y^4z^8
The ^ means exponents with the numbers beside it

4. Perform the indicated operations:
3√[3] + 2√[27] –√[12]

5. Multiply:
(8√[6] + 3√[2])(4√[6] – 5√[2])

6. Rationalize the denominator:
5____
√[3] + √[5]
This is also a fraction

Please help me understand the problems and the steps. Thanks

Radioactive decay on an isotope, please help, due tomorrow.?

you just need to work out how many times 160 is halved to get 1.25. im not sure which method youve learned but here are 2
just divide:
160 80 40 20 10 5 2.5 1.25
it takes 7 divisions so it takes 7 hrs

using logs
1.25 = 160 * (1/2)^x
1.25/160=(1/2)^x
log(1.25/160)=x*log(1/2)
x=[log(1.25)-log(160)]/log(1/2)
x=[log(1.25)-log(160)]/-log(2)

TRIGONOMETRY EQUATIONS HELP DUE TOMORROW ?

c) sinX = sin2X

Use sin2X = (always) 2 sinXcosX = sinX (given)

Then we have, EITHER sinX = 0, OR cosX = 1/2

and take it from there.

The others are all of the same type. For example, in (1) replace cscX with 1/sinX, and rearranging gives a quadratic in sinX.

2) Use cos^2X = 1 - sin^2 X

4) What isthe relationship between secX and sec(-X)? Using that, simplify in the same kindof way as I did for (3)

And don't leave it to the night before again!

Please help with this quick math question it's due tomorrow morning please?

She should add 3 negative x-tiles first because that is the only way to isolate the variable.
She should add 2 negative unit tiles first because that is the only way to get to the correct solution.
She can do either one first because zero pairs will be created to isolate the variable either way.
She should do neither one first because the first step is to add 4 negative tiles to both sides.

How do i solve this system of equations ? please help -- DUE TOMORROW !?

well i asked this question yesterday, but i still don't understand how to solve it.

** After dinner, The Sprats like to have dessert. Their favorite desserts are ice cream, apple pie, and fresh fruit. the restaurant lists the calories for each desserts, and one night the Sprats made the following observations about their favorite desserts :

- A slice of pie and fresh fruit has a total of 540 calories.
- A bowl of ice cream and the fresh fruit together have 16 fewer calories than a slice of pie.
- Two bowls of ice cream and a slice of pie totals 938 calories.

How many calories are found in each dessert?

i came up with the equations:
* x + z = 540
* y + z + 16 = x
* 2y + x = 938

please help -- DUE TOMORROW !

Tomorrow is my maths board exam for class X and I haven't read anything yet, but I want good marks in it. What should I do?

I usually hate answering these questions! Its like asking, how can I feel quenched without drinking? how can I feel energetic without sleeping?HOW CAN YOU EXPECT GOOD MARKS WITHOUT HAVING STUDIED? Seriously?? But definitely even if you were slacking throughout the year, you would have went for some Math classes or would have prepared for at least one or two exams at school? You definitely know some of the material to be honest! I assume you haven’t revised anything for your Math exam yet? But its tomorrow?! Nothing big can be done? If you certainly want to secure good marks, and feel extremely motivated, please find some previous year board exam papers online, and solve them! The pattern would definitely be the same, and so you would feel confident for tomorrow! Solve at least 5 to 6 papers or keep doing until you feel comfortable! Use time wisely!! Go off Quora, and begin your work!! All the best :)

Calculus Maximization/Minimization Help! This is due tomorrow!?

A clothing firm determines that in order to sell x suits, the price per suit must be p = 150 - 0.5x. It also determines that the total cost of producing x suits is given by C(x) = 4000 + 0.25x^2.

a. Find the total revenue R(x).
b. Find the total profit P(x).
c. How many suits must the company produce and sell in order to maximize profit?
d. What is the maximum profit?
e. What price per suit must be charged in order to make this maximum profit?

I would really appreciate answers to at least the first two points. If I at least know those, I might have a chance to figure out the rest. Thanks a lot.
