When you are at your home page (with your team(s)) click "edit teams" at the bottom right hand corner off the box with the team(s). Then it should bring up a screen which shows your team(s) and next to your teams it says "delete team" . Click it and your team should be history!

Why split fantasy football leagues into divisions?
Basically for the playoffs, you want to have division leaders making the playoffs. Like in the NFL with the division, why do they have them, instead of just having the two conferences? For playoff purposes. Also it is kinda more entertaining to play your division teams more than once, and have a division "race" for the title and playoff berth.
