Stole My Neighbors Cat How To Apologize

I think my neighbor stole my cat?

Eek! This is a tricky one, because cats really can look alike, but what are the odds that your neighbor just happened upon an identical cat?

Now, was your pet registered to you? Could a vet attest to the fact that you were the primary caretaker of this pet? Was it current on all of its shots? You could easily bring your records to demonstrate this to your neighbor.

The fact that it's just the mother now could work in your favor!

"I know how strange this sounds, but my cat went missing a while ago. She was outside sometimes and little Janey said they were feeding her because they thought she was a stray. I'm almost positive this is my cat. Here, check out this picture. I'm moving in a few weeks and I'd really like to take her with me."

Just be honest. If that doesn't work, and the woman gets pissy with you, call the police. That pet is your property and you can (hopefully) prove it!

My stupid neighbor killed my cat. :'(?

Don't let her get away with it. Sue her in small claims court for the death of your cat. The judge might only reward you with the cost of what you'd spend if you bought another cat, but that's still better than nothing and it will teach this lady to be more careful in the future.

If I were that lady, I would have apologized PROFUSELY and offered you money and whatever I could for what I did.

Remind her that there's something called "TAKING RESPONSIBILITY " for your actions!

HELP MY CAT KILLED MY NEIGHBOURS DOG?

That's one hell of a cat.

Start by informing your neighbors and extending an apology. Somebody will need to call to have the dog's body picked up -- or the body can be taken to a veterinary office where it will be stored until a crematory service picks the body up from there.

My neighbor's dog attacked my cat and now she is gone.?

I am so, so sorry for everything that happened to you and the fact that you had to be there to see it. I know how devastated I'd be if anything happened to my cats and there was nothing I could do to help them and I'm sorry you had to be there. I'm sorry it happened at all.

Unfortunately, the problem is.... when a dog attacks a cat it's a little different than attacking a person or a child. It pretty much may come down to whose animal was loose and not being controlled and not on it's own property... your cat? or the dog? It's not a nice way of looking at it but, unfortunately, cats are prey and if the cat was on the dog's property, it was only doing what comes naturally to him. It wasn't behaving aggressively or out of control. That is natural prey drive for some dogs as horrible as it was for you to see. Some dog breeds just have that instinctively... others don't and won't go after small prey. Also, if a dog does go after small prey, that does NOT mean that they'll go after children.... human aggression and prey drive are two entirely different things... One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

Anyway, like I said, I really am so sorry that you had to be there to see what you saw. I'm sorry about your cat. I hope you find her soon and that everything turns out okay for you.

My dog killed the neighbors cat in my FENCED yard?

i would tell those cat owners to shove their vet bills up their a s s !!! it is sad their pet is dead, i understand that ... but your dog was in your yard safely contained and was just being a dog ... i have the exact same problem only it is our patios that are connected ... i have told the owner repeatedly to keep her cat on her side and i have written a letter to the strata council and i have told the woman in no uncertain terms, one day my dog is going to kill that cat ... she just laughs and says it is a cat and can jump up on the fences surrounding the patios to get away ... my dog can almost jump that high and with a cocky cat sitting on the top, that just might give her the extra motivation to jump a wee bit higher and kill that cat ... not only that ... it took me a long time for my dog to be trained not to go for cats but this fricken cat on MY property continually has ruined a lot of that training ... now when my dog even hears a cat on tv and she is looking for it ... again, sad their pet died but it was their irresponsibility that caused it ... which is why i have put many of my complaints and concerns in writing in case my dog does kill that cat it is documented that the woman was told to keep the cat away ... they can not win if they sue you ... i can not stand that cats continue to be allowed to roam free and piss and **** wherever they want, which is usually not where they live ...

i can understand yahoo blocking s-h-i-t to some extent but when did p-i-s-s become a bad word ???

If a neighbor ran over & killed your daughter's cat can you make them pay for the vet bills?

she was going over the speed limit and she didn't even apologize for running over my daughters cat.
When she got out of her car she said there wasnt anything she could do and I told her to get the " f " away from me since im upset and tired of people speeding down the street were kids live.

My neighbors keep calling the police on me and falsely accusing me of criminal acts. I am afraid to go outside of my house. What do I do?

I have a neighbor that is fixated on my husband. She seemed a little off, but once she found out about his time in prison she developed a full blown obsession. She wrote the association board for our community a complaint about him slamming doors and watching her when she was outside. This was nonsense but they still had to address it with us. She wrote subsequent letters to the board stating he has a key to her car, and gains entry to turn on her radio...that he lets air out of her tires...that he's getting in her home and releasing ants...and he's poisoning the food in her refrigerator. We'd see police at her door, but they never stopped by to talk to us. One day last fall, my husband was riding his bike. This neighbor pulled her car in front of him and slammed on her brakes, causing him to fall off his bike. Her behavior was now endangering him so we went to the police to file a report. The police were helpful, and knew our neighbor well. Apparently she'd filed lots of police reports about my husband and a few other men from the neighborhood. The police recognized she has mental health issues and never pursued her later complaints. So what can you do? Try to have your cell phone ready to record if you think your neighbor will confront you. Keep a cool head, there's nothing wrong with not engaging in an argument. Don't be afraid to talk to the police to see what your options are if you're being harassed. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of this problem.UPDATE: my local police department reached out to the neighbour's daughter, the daughter called my husband to apologize and let him know she will be intervening in a medically supervised care program for her mother. She made sure he has her contact info should we have any problems. I give her all the credit in the world, she was wonderful and it's great that she wants to be involved in her care! Here's hoping my neighbor gets back on track.

Did my neighbors take advantage of this situation? My cat caused some damage, and I paid them.?

One night, my cat was so insistent to go outside (after he was put in the house) that he clawed our kitchen screen window, and somehow made it into our neighbor's house after she left her door open for just a few minutes before she left. My cat ended up clawing 2 of their screens, and peed on 2 beds in the 3 hours they were gone. I told them to give me the bill for cleaning the comforters and the new sheets. I rescreened the 2 windows for them and threw away the bag of sheets they collected that my cat peed on.

When they gave me the bill, I saw that they had charged me for the screen because it was bent after I had rescreened it (they gave it to me bent, and there is no way a cat could have bent it- I could hardly bend it if I tried!) . I didn't bother complaining because I felt so bad, but my roommates said the neighbors were "nickel and diming" me because they charged me $15 for a large box of soap, which was sure to last them awhile, considering they only needed to wash 2 comforters. I wrote them a check for $160 for the total bill, no questions asked because I just wanted to get it over with, with no trouble.

My roommates said I was too nice, they were taking advantage of the situation, and told me I should have spoken up about the screen and soap... what is your opinion? I didn't care either way, I just felt so bad that I paid no questions asked.

p.s. My cat has been grounded since this incident and has not been let outside, and I rescreened my kitchen window that he tore up, and he hasn't tried to claw it, or any other window since. He had never done that before, and gets sprayed with water whenever he goes near a screen.
