Stopped Drinking Soda Are These Side Effects Normal

What are the side effects of quitting soft drinks?

What does your current diet consist of? It could be that you are suffering constipation because your body is holding onto nutrients due to nutritional inadequacies. I give you lots of credit for quitting all the soft drinks!!! Great move for your health! Sometimes it takes the body a little bit of time to adjust to the fact that you have removed all that excess sugar from circulation but I would start by adding water to your diet to get that gut motility flowing. A great gauge is the color of your urine; you want it on the clear side for optimal hydration and to stimulate bowel movements as well as the release of toxins.I would also incorporate a good probiotic supplement as well as fermented foods like kombucha, pickles, miso soup, kimchi, and prebiotics that can fertilize healthy gut microbes like raw honey (small amounts), veggies, eggs, and guacamole or avocado. These are functional foods, meaning they not only serve as fuel, but they provide mechanisms for healing directly to your gut which is still on the rebound from depletions cause by processed sugar.Way to go! Not an easy habit to kick as sugar has many of the same characteristics of addiction as cocaine, according to brain scans. Email me for sources as I have tons of documentation! feedyoursoul

Are there any potential negative side effects from drinking diet sodas?

IF there are any then they usually associated with aspartemine.  The biggest debate is that diet sodas are sweetened using artificial sweeteners that the body does not know how to decompose as opposed to regular sugar.  There are also correlations that drinking diet soda makes you hungrier and people who drink diet sodas eat more sugar in the long run by snacking on other things.  But then again tie those two things together is really not a valid negative side effect.  IMO diet sodas and zero calorie drinks are fine to drink with moderation, one, two cans a day you are fine.  Artificial sweeteners are very highly concentrated, so the amounts that they use are in the mg and as opposed to regular sodas that contain 30+g of sugar per serving.  That is why zero calorie drinks such as monster and rockstars say 0 sugar.  And you save 140 calories per serving.

What are the bad effects of drinking Pepsi?

The first 10 minutes: within 10 minutes after drinking sodas, 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system (100% more than the recommended daily sugar intake) and phosphoric acid cuts the overwhelming sweetness and that’s the only reason that you won’t throw up.Within 20 minutes: Your body will experience an insulin burst as your blood sugar spikes while your liver turn massive amount of sugar into fat.Within 40 minutes: Your body has absorbed caffeine so your blood pressure goes up and your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream.Within 45 minutes: your body releases more dopamine (dopamine stimulates the pleasure centers of the brain)—the same reaction with drug addicts and their response to heroin. After 60 minutes: Phosphoric acid binds magnesium, zinc and calcium in your lower intestine and high levels of artificial sweeteners (like aspartame) or sugar increases excretion of calcium via urine. The caffeine will also come to play by dehydrating your body and you will lose a lot of water by going to bathroom. Phosphoric acid and caffeine also deplete your body from the bonded magnesium, zinc and calcium as well as sodium, electrolyte and water that were headed to your bones. After losing the valuable nutrients in your body that could have been used for hydrating or building stronger bones and teeth, you get sugar rush and your system will crash.

Apple cider vinegar health drink...side effects?

I am not an expert but when you mix vinegar and baking soda together they make foam or bubbbles really quickly. I think this reaction might have something to do with your dizziness. You didn't have a problem with dizziness before? Try without the baking soda and see if you notice a difference.

I can't stop drinking soda am addicted to it what do I do?

At that rate say hello to diabetes in a few years :)

Soda has been known to comprise certain chemicals that make you feel dehydrated. This is the reason why, even after drinking lots of soda, you continue to feel thirsty.
Every can of soda contains carbonic acid, which is a highly corrosive material. Hence, regular and frequent consumption of drinking soda can cause unimaginable damage to the human body.
One of the prime side effects associated with the consumption of soda is that it is high in sugar content. This leads to the development of a number of health problems, like obesity and oral decay. Consumption of any form of aerated drink containing soda means that there is consumption of empty calories, which results in weight gain.
There is high sugar content and too much fructose corn syrup in soda. Too much consumption of the drink can easily make you put on excessive weight.
Soda does not have any nutritional value. Drinking it regularly means that you are just adding on empty calories.
Excessive consumption of soda can result in high blood sugar, which can lead to faintness, rapid heart rate, and dehydration.
Since soda contains too much sugar and acid, it can play havoc with your oral health. Not only does it dissolve the calcium out of tooth enamel, but can also cause a lot of cavities.
Soda is also loaded with caffeine, which is a stimulant, the reason why it develops into an addiction soon. Consumption of excess of caffeine can cause irritability and restlessness.
In case you are consuming soda from a can, you must be aware of the fact that aluminum has been found to be a contributing factor in Alzheimer’s disease, which is an incurable, degenerative and terminal mental condition.
Caffeine removes calcium from our bodies. So, if you are drinking too much soda, you are also ingesting too much calcium, which ultimately will affect the strength of your bones.
Irritability, restlessness, tension, insomnia, excitement and gastrointestinal disturbance are some other side effects of caffeine, which often result from high consumption of soda.

What happens to the human body after quitting soft drinks?

It all depends on what kind of soft drinks you mean? If you are talking about high sugar content soft drinks, then a few things would happen.1st you would actually feel like you have more energy. As you would not go through the sugar highs and crashes because your blood sugar would be alot more stable. There was a study done at the Oregon research institute that used an fMRI machine to see the effects of sugar on the brain. They found that sugar activates the same part of the brain that responds to concain, and worse, that the brain develops a tolerance. This means more sugar is needed to get the same kick overtime which is very bad.2nd you would start to look younger, as some studies suggest that high levels of glucose in the body can increase the rate of aging. Also if you suffered from acne your skin would could start to clear up.3rd you are less likely to develop diabetes. If you consumed a large amount of your daily calories through soft drinks, by switching to water, your chance of developing diabetes is much lower, your waistline would start to shrink, and your chance of developing obesity drops also. These are just the main ones i use as a personal trainer, when trying to convince clients to give up a high sugar diet. Its normally pretty effective.
