Student visa (Canada)?

You cannot apply for a Canadian visa from the United States. A prerequisite for any type of Canadian visa application would be the proof of the legally stay in the United States. Get back to the Ukraine!..

Edit:

Please don't understand me wrong; by get back home I was just trying to explain that you can't apply for a Canadian visa from the United States being out of status.

Just see the Canadian student visa requirements for an application from the U.S.

Further edit:
sorry Vlad, but you were talking about a student visa and now you are stating that you are an "experienced worker". What is your intent? Come to study or to start illegal work? I don't think you can be helped.

Can I keep my F1 student visa status if I drop a semester?

Can you keep your F1 student visa status if you drop a semester? My answer is: Yes, you will keep it. But please read below.I have an experience like your situation. I lost my mother in a tragic car accident. I had dropped my 1 semester and let the ISSS know about my withdrawal. Since the semester was already started, it costed me 30% of the term’s balance as a late witdrawal penalty. Be careful to drop your semester before 1st day of class.More specific to your question: No, it will not effect your F1 status. As far as i know ISSS will terminate your SEVIS, this means you need to inform the ISSS before your coming back to the University. They will issue a new I-20 to you, and you need to re-pay your SEVIS fee. I suppose you will leave the States.Be carefull about your decision: if you would like to be elligible for CPT/OPT you need to study (again) for full academic year with full course load. What is that mean? It means if you have courses to take with credit hours less then full course load through full academic year (fall+spring) you need to take extra credit hours. And you cannot start from Spring or Summer, i mean you can but it will make the situation worst, because, then it will take more than one academic year since you will need to enroll Spring+[Fall+Spring] or Summer+[Fall+Spring].If you decide to drop more than 1 semester. Be carefull about 13 consecutive months rule. If you drop your program more than 1 year, then you will need to re-apply the program. If you are willing to re-apply the program, check your TOEFL expiration date.I know it is little bit confusing but it is as is. If you have a specific question please dont hesitate to ask me.Good luck and take care!

I want to go to school in Japan to study manga and then become a mangaka. It's been my life's dream since I was a kid and I was wondering if it's possible to gain an artist visa under the residency of a student visa. Like I know that your suppose to live their for at least 5 years to gain citizenship so does the 4 years I'm there for school help me become eligible???

Can an Australian student visa holder change the status from student to working visa if somebody gives him sponsorship?

I am not an immigration lawyer, but I’ve seen this sort of thing happen in odd circumstances.Generally speaking, working visas are for skills that can’t easily be obtained in Australia. If someone is on a student visa, they are studying at a normal educational institution in Australia (as this is a requirement for a student visa). They are learning the same things that the Australian students are learning. An employer would have a very hard case to prove that they had to hire the foreigner and couldn’t have employed one of their fellow students. So it’s not a normal situation for an undergraduate degree, for example. At a PhD level — yes, it’s entirely possible that a foreign student studying a PhD in Australia could become a world expert on something, and that an employer could justify that there really was no-one better that they could have hired in Australia. It could also happen that the student had some remarkable skills prior to starting their degree — perhaps they were studying an MBA or a second degree in Australia — and a local employer could justify hiring the student over a local employee on that basis. As of 2018 there is a long backlog of unprocessed work visas. In the past when this happened, it was possible to get bridging visas to remain in Australia during a transition from one status to another, but as of today there is even a long backlog of bridging visas. This makes it particularly difficult for the employer as they have to make a hiring offer for a very distant future work commencement. So while it might be possible, there are various reasons why it is rather unlikely to happen.Do not take any of the above as immigration advice; I’m not qualified to answer every possible scenario.
