Has anyone used a self-tanner before going to the beach?
definately! most self-tanners won't wash off in the water if you apply them at least 24 hours before you plan on heading to the beach. try "jiffy tan" by benefit, $22. it's the ONLY self-tanner i've used that hasn't left me with an orange tint! and trust me, i burn SUPER easily in the sun, so i like to stay out of it as much as i can, thus my obsession with self tanners :] if you want to go for something a bit cheaper, check out dove energy glow. mix it with a normal lotion to avoid streaking. hope all works out!
What's the best indoor bronzing tanning lotion?
According to IST magazine (tanning mag) For a bronzer the peoples choice was Australian Golds Sinfully Black, I think their new Hardcore Black is better. (it wasn't around for the mag.) I also recommend Designer Skins products. Spluge(expensive), Conceited(Good fairly affordable), Head over Heals(Has a Hair inhibitor) , or Pretty n Reckless (if you have a tattoo). They cost more then AG but they do a slightly better job with the moisturizing. Both of companies are good. You won't find these in Wal-mart only in salons or online. To bad your going to a salon that doesn't have helpful staff.
Watery tanning lotion? What does this mean?
when i put it on its kind of watery, and i tried shaking it up, does it matter? does this mean it's old? i just bought it at my tanning salon, should i ask the lady?
How soon can I shower after applying self tanner?
I usually wait about 8 hours, otherwise it can cause streaks. Also,whenever I do self-tanning, I make it sure it's on a lazy day so I don't have to go out smelling like it. I hate the smell of the lotion, but it's worth it if you need to get a tan quickly. Hope I helped! [=
How long should I lay out to tan?
You have the same skin as me! I recommend laying out in the sun for about er a half hour on each side (front & back). Use about a SPF 15 if its normal heat (60 to 70 degrees) or maybe a SPF 25 is it's hot (80 to 90 degrees or more).

You can hit the tanning bed or just apply a subtle sunless tanner once a day to even it out.
Is it normal to feel uncomfortable wearing shorts?
So Summer is here and it's shorts season,I am a 24 year old Mommy of a 3 year old, I have never worn shorts before in my life because I always thought my legs were too white and too skinny.Now after having my daughter I gained weight I now weigh 120,I am 5'4 and happy with my weight more than ever but I still feel kinda weird wearing shorts,I feel naked or that my legs are too skinny and too white.Im hispanic just very light complected..Is this normal?I dont know what to do...I am certainly not going to take the heat of the summer.Anyone in the same situation?Please help.. P.S. I've already started to wear capris and eventually I have been going shorter and shorter but not the point where its like "too short" just yet...oh my gosh this is weird lol

I checked out her childhood pics.She looks pretty much like a Latino/Indian/Middle Eastern kid to me in those. (I am an Indian)Those who are saying she uses tan, seems they are correct as she is more tanned now than in these pics, but is not “white” in her childhood.But Mediterraneans often have such appearances. So, not a typical white but technically she is white. I don't why that categorization is important but ya I can understand the curiosity :)
