Teeth Still Crooked When They Took My Braces Off

Braces off while my teeth are still crooked ?!?

I get my braces off tomorrow but my teeth aren't completely straight. On my last appointment i had told my dentist that i didn't like the position of my teeth and he assured me they were straight but people were still telling me they noticed they were crooked and they are. My bottom teeth are straight except my right canine tooth is sharper than the other. Also on the top the tooth right next to my 2 big front teeth on both right and left side are crooked still. I don't know if i should tell them about it again or is there anything else i can do any advice ?

My teeth are getting crooked after getting my braces taken off!!!!?

It might make a little room. But really 4 months is still fairly new. You need to wear those retainers as much as possible! Especially if that fixes it. But getting your wisdom teeth out is a very good idea because that could even be part of the problem! Most people get them out. Like mine; were coming in crooked and if I didn't have them out it would've messed everything up that my braces had done!! So you definitely dont want that. So get them out to keep that from happening; and the extra space never hurts. And wear those retainers! You don't want to ruin all the hard work! :D Good luck

Braces coming off but teeth still crooked?

My teeth were never bad to begin with, just minor things and my braces helped a lot but they are still a little bit crooked. I have had my braces on for a little over nine months and I think it was three weeks ago, I had an appointment and the orthodontist just looked at my teeth and said my braces could come off the next day or whenever. My mom called and made a new appointment which is going to happen in like a week so the orthodontist can double check.

So I was just wondering, since my teeth are only a little crooked, will the retainer help that? I was supposed to have my braces on for two years but it has been nine month. Should my teeth be perfect when my braces come off or just pretty close?

Also, I brush my teeth twice a day and I do the other thing that looks like a christmas tree every night. Do the braces leave little yellow squares where they were. lol i'm just wondering.

Braces off in two weeks, teeth still crooked!?

my braces are coming off in two weeks and my right top ones are still really crooked! should i be worried? what if they take them off before my teeth are ready? :(

thanks!!

Just got my braces off and front teeth won't touch!?

I guess what do you mean...do you mean when you bite your teeth don't touch (visibly they cross but don't hit each other..this would be ok) or when you bite your teeth don't touch and there is a visible gap between your top and bottom (open bite). If you have an open bite you need to call your orthodontist. Often this can fix itself but you should still discuss it with your orthodontist.

My teeth are crooked after a week of taking braces off, wtf?

I had the braces taken off after 3 yrs a week ago and it's already starting to move a lot. My mid line is off, and top front tooth is crooked and theres even a gap right next to my top right molar and food keep getting stuck there. I got the impression done a week ago as well and am to get my retainer in 3 weeks but I think at this rate, my teeth will be so jacked up. Has this happened to anyone? wtf?

How did you feel when you finally got your braces off?

Disappointed and betrayed. I had been promised a “movie star” smile after the first set of braces from about the age 10? to 12 or 13 (the type you can take out if needed) but then I was told I had to have (I was given no choice) the “fixed” kind for the next 2 or 3 years. These 4 to 5 years totally wrecked my self confidence (it was back in the 70’s so “invisible” braces hadn’t yet been invented), as I was already the tall skinny kid, so it was just another thing for people to poke fun at.When I was 14 or 15 and those fixed braces eventually came off, after all those years of hell when the promise that it would be all worth it in the end, I was devastated. I still had crooked uneven teeth, the top front teeth were (and are) still slightly crossed, off centre and are slightly different lengths. So still no movie star smile. And after four years of bring teased and picked on by the other kids, and being kicked out of the choir I enjoyed due to the slight speech impediment the braces gave me, I had changed from a shy quiet little girl who still had her small friendship group, to an introverted loner who found solace and friendship in her numerous pets.In addition, the dentist refused to accept that the novocaine didn’t work for me for fillings / extractions, and I was just held down in the chair screaming in agony. It took years before I could trust another dentist, and it was another nail in the coffin of my deteriorating relationship with my parents.I'm sure many people benefit from braces, and for them the end result is well worth it, but for me it was just years of mental and physical agony, ending in disappointment.

What would happen if I took my braces off after three months? Would my teeth return to how they were before, or would they end up looking worse?

Hey there! I wore braces in my teenage years, and every month for the first year I wanted to have them removed, but each time, my pediatric dentist said no - and for good reason, as it turned out. In my 5th month, I ran into a bad problem with my gums, so my pediatric dentist (s/o to the ever-patient, but unrelenting Dr. Gep and orthodontist Dr. Gawlik of Woodbridge Kids where I grew up in ) had to take off my braces to let my gums heal. It was bad, I can tell you that, and not only was the alignment of my teeth still uncorrected (their positions haven’t shifted as much as it had only been a few months since I had my braces on), but my teeth actually started to shift back to their old, crooked position. So yes, if that happened to me at 5 months, imagine what can happen in 3.I don’t think any good dentist will prescribe braces, let alone allow their removal just after 3 months, I think it’s for at least 8–10 months. If you’re having oral care/health issues, consult your dentist. Only severe problems like mine required temporary removal. If anything, removing your braces this early will make the treatment useless. But it’s going to pay off in the long run; trust me, I capitalize on my now straight and nice teeth and smile to earn a living.

If you died with braces on would they take them off?

Sorry to be so descriptive later (there are graphic details about body preparation for burial) but unless it is in your will for them to come off then I'm quite certain that they would leave them on.There would also be an added cost to you or your family to have them and the bonding (glue) removed and your teeth polished. There would really be no point in having them removed.First, for several reasons they sew your mouth closed in just the perfect way to give you the best and most beautiful mouth shape. I've never been to a viewing and seen a deceased persons teeth showing. You would NOT want to see the inside of their mouth, at all, and I'll leave it at that.Second, immediately after you take off the braces the teeth go crooked again and you would not want them to show anyway. My daughter had gone through her first and second phase of braces and had been wearing a permanent retainer for a couple of years so you'd have thought her teeth were strong in their new position. The permanent retainer (glued on wire) came off the back of her front teeth one day and I didn't even have time to get her to the orthodontist. Within an hour her front teeth had separated again and within a half day the gap was as wide as it was originally before orthodontics.(Your teeth have a memory. That's why retainers are so important. Anyhow, the explanation for that is a discussion for another topic). So, back to your basic question, again, I don't believe they would remove them, I think it would be impractical and an unnecessary cost but if you want to have them removed if a tragedy happened then I would set the funds aside and put it in your will.If you are indeed a teenager I hope that you are spending your days mostly thinking about happy things and living. Have you ever thought about going into orthodontics? You make a lot of money, take a lot of vacations, work around a lot of really nice women and you get to wear scrubs all day. Oh and most dentists only work 4 days a week! \U0001f60a

I get my braces off soon but my two front teeth are different lengths..will they like fix it?

This will be taken care of before the braces are removed, don't worry you will have beautiful teeth! Your two front teeth should be the same length. If one of the teeth has been chipped due to an accident, they can file some of the enamel off the other to make them match. This does not hurt at all. Hope I've been of help and good luck with your ortho, you will have fantastic teeth! Be sure to wear your retainer and keep up with your brushing and flossing to keep them beautiful!

Mention your concern to your orthodontist, he will explain how everything comes together in the last few months.
