The Little Mermaid True Story

The Little Mermaid Original Question?

This is a theory speculated by scholars of his work, in recent years. Anderson also had intense love affairs with women & proposed marriage to at least 1 woman.
Edvard Collin's father, Jonas Collins was his benefactor & surrogate father who arranged for his scholarship & support, & included him in family dinners & celebrations whenever feasible. As a lonely young writer struggling to make his mark in the literary world, Anderson grew to love Jonas & wife as parents & his 5 children as his siblings. Edvard was the Collins child closest in age with Anderson. They developed a close friendship which lasted all their lives
Most of the speculations about Anderson's feelings came from a letter written to Edvard on the occasion of Edvard's upcoming nuptials. Many LGBT groups also consider The Little Mermaid, his most famous work, a literary affirmation of Anderson's unrequited love for Ecvard. However, there are many letters & accounts of Anderson's passion for various women i.e. opera singer Jenny Lind, aka the 'The Swedish Nightingale' who inspired 'The Nightingale'. Perhaps he is like so many creative souls who are capable of intense feelings for both men & women.
I included articles which you should read if you are truly interested. Then you can draw your own conclusions instead of guessing if the rumors are true.

Whats the real story of the little mermaid?

So I once hear that the true story of the little mermaid was a gruesome one.
I guess somewhere along the lines of this mermaid shes a price, she cuts off her hair, becomes human, and when he rejects her she like eats him and disappears back into the sea. I'm not sure if this was the original story or like the first folktale of it but i would like to know. It would make sense that it is the real story cuz like ancient tales of the sea and such.

The little mermaid plot?

A cute & curious mermaid, Ariel, is intrigued when she spots a ship, so she swims to the surface of the stormy seas and spies on the men aboard the ship. She's immediately drawn to handsome Eric. After a deadly lightning strike, the ship catches fire, and all the men and Eric's dog escape in a life boat- except Eric, who is knocked unconscious and thrown into the treacherous waves.

Unable to help herself (mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans), Ariel rescues him, guiding him safely to shore, then disappears quickly before he fully regains consciousness. Meanwhile Ariel's father, King Triton, discovers his rebellious daughter had saved a human's life, and becomes enraged. After a terrible fight with her father, Ariel turns to the terrible sea witch in order to make a trade: land legs, so she can explore the shore up above, in exchange for her voice. The deal is, Ariel must cause Eric to fall in love with her, and gain true love's first kiss by three sunsets, or her soul belongs to the wicked sea witch.

Is it true that the little mermaid turns into a bubble in one of the versions of the story?

the original version is much better than that Disney cr.ap they shove down kid's throats. Basically, Han Christian Anderson was saying that the price ones pays for changing to fit in with others can be risky, painful and result in despair.

Did anyone else see this in The Little Mermaid?

Yes, I searched it up and I found a website saying that it wasn't a hard-on, yet it was his knee. I'm sorry, but it looks nothing like his knee. And as for The Lion King, the word 'SEX' was said to have magically formed from the flower petals in the sky.The people who made the scene in which this happens is the Special Effects Department, also known as SFX, and it's said that it was meant to say that, and that the 'E' is actually an 'F', but it looks more like an 'E' to me.
