The Purge In Jacksonville America

How many states in the US have towns named Jacksonville?

If the Purge was real, would America actually be better off?

This is highly unlikely, mostly due to internal versus external security. What the movies do not consider is the families of those deployed to foreign countries like Embassy staff or intelligence agents. If consular staff, Marines, case officers, etc. do not feel safe leaving home to be deployed because of something like the purge, enlistment will sharply decrease in favor of private sector jobs that could do the same.If the government cannot get anybody recruited under them except leaders, no implementer will remain and American culture would become so highly individualized that it would fall apart.

Has any country or society practiced an annual purge?

If you are referring to the concept in the recent Purge Movies, then “No”. The concept that there is one day when all crime is legal is silly and non-functional. The moment that such a purge began, there would be a coup d’etat and the government would be taken over by someone sensible who doesn’t make crime legal and restores safety and order.The only crimes I can think of that tend to come in waves are anti-minority riots like pogroms against Jews, massacres against Christians in Muslim-majority countries, and similar types of attacks. However, these are very different from the premise of a “purge” in the Purge Movies because crime has not become legal, it’s just that the police turn away if the victim is from the minority group.

Is America still racist?

First, let me say this: Based on your avatar, you look more White than Asian...Just an observation..

Anyway, in the South (which includes Florida - especially the rural areas) there is still a GREAT deal of racism. I probably would have said that was a stereotype before I moved South four years ago, but I've seen it first hand (North Carolina?? That's pretty much the worst place on Earth).

Just ignore them. It's not as bad up North, but there are racist and non-racist people ANYWHERE you go.

ADD:

@Matty,

I didn't say South Florida! I said the South, as in, the Southern United States, which INCLUDES Florida. I was also saying most of Florida is more touristy than Southern, so there isn't a LOT of racism, but in rural areas, you still get that Southern feel.

And, actually, from what I've noticed, YES. I'd agree with you. North Florida does seem more Southern and has a lot more racism (Gainesville is a good example of that).

P.S.

I lived in Florida for a year.

Is 2 hours of exercise every day too much?

Exercising too much can be bad for you. Exercise bulimia is a serious medical problem in which people use extreme exercising instead of vomiting to purge food excesses. Exercise bulimia can be dangerous and take a toll on your heart, muscles and joints. It’s hard to mark a firm line between working out hard and being obsessive about it. A two-hour workout daily should be OK if you’re otherwise healthy and strong.Expert OpinionExperts usually recommend a minimum of 30 minutes of daily activity for overall health and well being. However, according to experts from Harvard Medical School, you need more than that in order to see results. A 2010 study by university experts showed that women need at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day in order to simply maintain weight. Those who need to lose weight might need even more. Based on that, two hours doesn’t seem like a very big stretch for most people.PrecautionsPeople with certain medical conditions should not attempt a two-hour workout without medical approval or supervision. If you have a joint problem, working out for too long can make the pain or inflammation worse. If you suffer from a heart condition or have high blood pressure, such a long workout can actually be dangerous. If you plan on exercising for such a long time, get clearance from your doctor first and find out which exercises you should avoid, if any.
