The Sims 3: Sim Icons Have Disappeared?

After I change anything in my family (move someone out, move someone in, move to a new house, etc.) and I return to game, all the icons on the left side of the screen have disappeared. My sims are still there, and I can still play as the sim I was controlling when I went to Edit Town (even though the sim's icon won't be there). I have even done the Ctrl Shift C resetsim Sim Name but nothing changed.

Oh, and before I even try to change anything, one of my sims is there, and his icon is there without his face in it. He is initially selected and can interact with objects, but not other sims or even himself. And when I change sims, I can't re select him, and the other sims can't interact with him. It wasn't like this before I saved the game, but it's like this now whenever I try to play that save file. (this is why I want to edit the household anyway)

I really don't want to delete this file. I've put a lot of work into it! Is there any hope of fixing it?

Why has my baby disappeared on the sims 3?

This has happend with two familes now.
The first family: My sim was pregnant. I went off her household to go on another family. When I went back it said she had,had a baby girl but there was no baby, but I went on the family tree and there was a baby girl called "Misty". But "Misty" didn't have a thumbnail and was totally missing.
The second family: I went on a sim family who had just had a baby. The baby was there, But when I looked I realised that this baby was one of twins and that her twin sister was missing just like the first family.
The missing babies are not dead either because there thumbnails on their family trees are not gray.
I don't know why this is happening but if somebody could help or give me a reason as to why it is that would really help.

Sims 3 Generations My Sim Disappeared!?

My Two sims, dominic- adult and Kandy- Young Adult went on that free 2 day vacation. They left thursday night, then friday morning dominic came back.? Its a two day vacation though. And Only Dominic came back not Kandy. and Shes not on my sim panels either. Also, every sim in the family (kids) have no relationships, and in there memories that include Kandy her name is substituted with a blank. Whats going on?

Help! my town on sims 3 has disappeared for no reason!?

well, the town might've been like saved in a different place because some crazy glitch, or maybe you need a patch for the game? if you use cheats, then sometimes that happens because an error, its happened to me in the sims 2, and the only other reason i can think of is that the town got moved to a folder or is combined to another town, or maybe its saved as a downtown...? oh yeah and also in the sims 2 i deleted the special npcs and if you do that then the game works funny and stuff are different because.... well i dont know why but it just does.

thats why i dont play my sims 3 anymore; too many glitches because my cheats, the whole game crashed. check your sims 3 folder on your desktop and check if everything is there and none of the neighborhoods are misplaced or anything...

Sims 3: Sim's grave disappeared from my inventory.?

During university one of my sims died after putting out a fire. (didn't reach a shower soon enough) I put his grave into one of my other sim's inventory and left it there so that I could bring him back as a ghost and resurrect him later.
When my sims returned back to their town, the grave disappeared from my sim's inventory.

Is it a bug? Is it back in University?

Sims 3:Engaged sim, partner just disappears?

My sim just recently got engaged with another sim( That lived in his own house and wasn't controlled by me! )
Today when I started to play on the family I thought I should call her future husband, but I couldn't find him in the relation tab, so I tried to find him in the phonelist, not there either. I moved the camera to his house, and it was completly emty. No-one lived there anymore. So, where did he go, can the other sims in town just move out? But shouldn't I still be able to contact him, or is it some kind of bug?

How to fix invisible Cat on Sims 3 Pets?

I hate this when it happens. If resetsim doesn't work then go to edit town and click on your household and select split household, then split your cat from the household (if it forces you to split the cat AND another sim, do it) then merge the household on the clipboard (your cat, possibly with another sim) with your household again.

If you want to get rid of the extra money, you can use familyFunds household's NAME (not necessarily your sim's last name, you can find this by clicking your household in edit town) and enter the amount of money your sims had before the extra money was there (so if you had 1000 simoleons before splitting and merging your houshold and you now have say 17,000 you use familyFunds+name+1000 make sure to use NO commas)

My NPC in Sims 3 went missing?

This can happen if you have story progression enabled because EA's story progression is terrible. Check your settings other options and look at the check box by "story progression," if that box is checked then the game will make random changes which may include breaking up families, or moving sims out of town. You can avoid these things by leaving it unchecked, which means that the neighborhood will be a little more static, but you also won't just get sims up and disappearing on you. There are also mods that give you a less drastic version of story progression, so that things in your neighborhood can change, but sims won't just move out of town and disappear from the game.

The best way I can think of to get your sim and William Fangmann back together is to save her to the library and move her to a new version of Bridgeport. You'll have to find him and start a relationship all over again, but it's better than nothing. :/
