The Weakness Of A Man Easily Move To Defend Of His Tribe Against Other

My cat has sudden weakness in his hind legs?

My cat is 8-9 years old. And in the past week, his back legs have gotten progressivly weaker. He can not walk normally (he walks like a drunk man) and can barely jump on my bed. He also can't move his tail at all, and it seems that he has little or no feeling in it at all. He seems to be in no pain, but seems to be very annoyed with the fact that he cant really do anything. He has also lost a bunch of weight, but he was never overweight so this posses a problem. I haven't personally seen him eat for awile now either. He is an indoor/outdoor cat as well. He is neutred, and declawed on the front paws (when we declawed him we had the intentions of keeping him inside, but he was miserable being kept inside 24/7 and so he would run out every chance he could). My mom already has called the vet and we will go in. What i need is more of a general idea of what on earth this could be. I did some research and diabetes came up, but i am not sure its that and i would need a second opinion (even if its an uneducated one)

Could a small person really defend themselves against a huge person?

Yes.As any big strong guy learns the first time he goes into a fight club of some style he finds out little guys can certainly beat him. I learnt it, everyone learns it :)

All else being equal the bigger stronger person is better, which is why fighting styles have weight divisions.

But the idea is if a small person gets good enough he will be able to kill all the big people who have never trained before. And that is certain.

So while you may never be able to take on a 200lb pro fighter, you will most defintely be able to take out a 200lb thug trying to steal your handbag.

There are few provisos.

1. It must be a realistic style. 99% of martial arts are taught wrong and do not work in real life. If I had a dollar for every black belt I have seen punched out by drunk slobs in night clubs..well I'd have at least $100.

The realistic styles are boxing, kikcboxing, olympic style wrestling, full contact karate, Muay thai, jujitsu, Judo, MMA and Brazilian jujitsu.

For chokes you want either jujitsu,MM, BJJ, or Judo. They will take down and choke out any other style in seconds. BJJ is probably the best. The strongest man in the world can be choked out by a woman( if he allowed her to get the hold in place) It is not suffocation, but blocking the major vessels on either side of the neck carrying blood to the brain. As a result it can render people unconsious in around 4 seconds.

2. The second proviso is as I said strength does help. You will definetly be able to get better than the average man. But against a 250lb guy who has done a little fighting himself, the gap will start to become too much.

Here is where you concentrate on eyestrikes and groinstrikes and biting if need be.

The best stye for this is probably self defence jujitsu. Which also as noted above is one of the best for grappling.

Lastly, be careful listening to the advice of a lot of these 'internet masters' recommending kung fu, taekwondo, tai chi etc.

If these styles actually worked police, prison staff, army and special forces world wide would be using them.

But they are not.

The above professional groups use the realistic fighting styles I mentioned.Their lives depend on it is the reason.

So does yours. Your choice :)

How do you punish your son for defending himself against a female bully?

While this answer may stray a bit into more speculative and far-reaching territories, I still hope to give a practical answer. We have a tendency amongst good-intentioned people to glorify and idolize women. Being an oppressed and sometimes maligned group we tend to inversely overcompensate and deify them. This is also sexist, demeaning and dehumanizing. Humans are all capable of cruelty, intentionally inflicting pain, apathy, etc. The contemporary news report of the couple (composed of a male and female) who created a grotesque house of horrors with child torture and abuse shows that women are not angelic or otherwise set apart, they are all too human. My point in bringing this up wasn’t to equate a schoolyard bully to a monster like Louise Turpin but rather to show that being a woman makes you neither peaceful nor allergic to violence. It is rarer in females but you’d have to ask an Evolutionary Psychologist why that is.I’ve personally witnessed female-on-male domestic violence, which is a whole other can of worms that is unfortunately struggling to be taken seriously. I’ve also personally experienced both physical violence and bullying and there’s no way that I can relate to you the full emotional impact of physical violence if you have never experienced it. There’s feelings of terror, confusion, pain, anger, a diminishment of self, of weakness and helplessness, fear, and self loathing that you experience in rapid succession or all thrown together. If you don’t prepare yourself (as a boxer or martial artist does), then once those first shots hit you your brain knows nothing but disorientation and panic. Like a car crash, there’s no time to think.Your son simply reacted as most of us do: by fighting back against his attacker. This is neither immoral nor unexpected, it is primal. Fight or flight. His conscious brain wasn’t even in the driver’s seat.I can only implore you to not punish your son for his perfectly natural, instinctual, and completely warranted actions.

How do I strengthen my defense at chess?

I would suggest the Book The Art of Defense in Chess by Lyev Polugayevsky he was a feared Grandmaster and a candidate for the World Championship 7 times (he died in 1995) It covers everything you need to know to be a much better defender like building a blockade simplification active defense and counter attack I have it here it's a very good book!

An alternate suggestion is The Art of the Middle Game by GM Paul Keres and Alexander Kotov an attacker and a defender wrote the book. Keres shows in this book how any position can be defended with the right spirit and understanding of what is happening.

Another very good book is Secrets Of Chess Defence by Mihail Miran good writing easy to follow.

What are the strength and weaknesses of feminism or feminist theory?

"What are the strength and weaknesses of feminism or feminist theory?"

Strengths: Female in-group bias. NO negative connotations against women ... EVER ... allows all women to identify as feminists even when they have no issues of contention in their own lives.

Weaknessess: Lack of truth, logic and reason in any of the feminist theory itself. It is more of an emotionally driven agenda which attempts to attach "theory" after the fact in an attempt to legitimize itself. When the easily disproven circular logic becomes unravelled, then feminists resort to censorship and the revoking of free speech against it's opponents.

How can I defend in soccer against a skillful and quick player?

You need to think before acting. Use great positioning and tactical vision to ruin his day. If he is Messi this might not work well enough of course.I have an experience that might give some insights:In my local team we had a player (attacker) who was leaps and bounds above anyone else, due to him having great pace, acceleration, technique and dribbling skills. Playing with other local teams he would score 5+ times, usually on his own and win the match easily as long as the rest of the team played reasonably well. To illustrate the point even more, he was the one who started a professional career.Forward 5 years (i did not play at that team anymore), it turns out we have to split up all available players and do a friendly match for a festivity. And guess what? I play defence (CB at that match) and he is against us.I know that if we cannot stop them we will lose badly. I’m not slow to accelerate or turn, but he is a bit faster and good at tricks, so in one-to-one situations he can beat me quite often. The other defenders were slower than me too so no good options. So what did i do? I focused mainly on stopping him! In terms of priority:Did not allow him get the ball if possible: Marked him so that his teammates did not prefer to pass to him. Or force a pass to him where i know i can stop it before he gets it. This is the most effective tactic, if you have the vision required to do it.When he got the ball, tried to present him with bad options for dribbling/moving and good for passing to inconsequential positions, so that he gave the ball where it would not hurt, rather than dribbling.Never marked him closely when he had the ball. He’d do his thing and move past me. Instead, i’d mark him from a small distance, so that he couldn’t accelerate and dribble as easily, giving me and my teammates time to act.Let him challenge another player before facing him (not going at him first thing) so that he would be off balance when i challenge him, which allowed me to break his attack more easily.Played unpredictably, using sudden speed bursts where he did not expect it when challenging him.Result: He only scored once, and got past me once (not in the same instance) for which i am proud.

When fighting against a person with a knife while armed with a long stick, is it better to swing the stick or poke with the stick?

I’m gonna say poke.If you take a look at real life sword fighting, ancient and modern, you’ll notice that the majority of attacks are not slashes. They are thrusts.Thrusts are generally more effective than slashes, because for one they keep distance between you and your opponent, two, they are significantly more difficult to defend against, and three, they are quick. You can deliver four thrusts in the time it would take to slash once. The last thing you want to do is let the knife wielder close the distance between the two of you. You do not want an aggressor armed with a knife anywhere near arms reach of you.Take the Phalanx of Alexander the Great. He was able to mow down entire armies with this formation. The soldiers built a shield wall and used spears to thrust. Because of the length of the spears, the opposing army would be skewered before they got the chance to dish out any damage.Take the Ancient Roman Army, which was able to beat the Greeks using spears, daggers, and the Roman gladius, a roughly two foot long thrusting sword.I don’t claim to be an expert at this but from what I have learned over my years of martial arts enthusiasm, I’d say go for the eye with a quick, well aimed poke. And that’s really gonna hurt.

What are the biggest weak points of neurotypical humans?

I could go on for ages .. but really we'd just be talking about the weaknesses of people in general, and by far not all neurotypicals will actually have that weakness. The biggest weakness I can think of right now is the pack mentality and questions like this by their very nature fuel a “them and us” mentality. It feels good to fit in and it's something I have often searched for (in vain) - that's the truth. However there is nothing I despise more than bitchy, judgemental people. Oh and bullies - not only do I not understand their mentality but they are also the weakest human beings imaginable. Also people talk about how aspies are childlike - we yes, in a *good way*. Neurotypicals have always seemed to me to be totally childish and immature in the worst ways. Aspies are actually possibly the most sensible people on the planet.Ok so I have been pretty bitchy now about neurotypicals - why? Because I am not perfect either and never will be. I dislike the way that having a different brain sometimes confers this grandiosity - looking at you, psychopaths :) we are all human after all.
