There Are Rubber Pieces That You Can Slide Around Your Round Weights For Lifting What Are They

Any trick to getting a dead deer into a car trunk?

I am an office worker from the city. I have never gone hunting before. If by some miracle, I actually shoot a deer, is there some trick to lifting it into the trunk? I weigh about 105 pounds and I am not the most macho guy on the planet. I get most of my exercise typing on a keyboard. My Toyota Prius has a pretty high trunk. Is there any easy way to do this?

How do I stop my bed from sliding all over my bedroom's tile floor?

You need to increase the coefficient of friction between your bed frame and the tile floor. You remember that good ol term from physics class right? :) For something like metal and tile you want to put a hard rubber of some kind between your bed feet and the floor. It's hard to say what the best product to recommend would be without seeing the type of feet on your bed, but you might want to look at something like rubber floor tiling, probably a high density type that your bed feet wont pierce. The larger the surface area of your bed feet the better. You could also consider adding some weight to your bed frame so that it's less prone to slip, but I'd bet getting the right rubber feet on there will make a world of difference for you. As a test on the cheap you might consider getting four racquetballs and cutting slits in them to slip over the feet of your bed to see that makes a difference. That's probably about the density of rubber you want to maximize the friction between the bed and the floor.

I stand at 5' 7″ and weigh 120 lbs. Can I handle the recoil of a 12ga shotgun?

Most likely, yes. However, I can’t say for sure.First of all, 12 gauge shotguns are not all the same. Felt recoil depends on many variables. Weight of the gun, type of action, shape of the stock, fit of the stock, all make a difference. As a basic rule, single and double break-barrel shotguns will kick harder than autoloading shotguns. They are lighter, and the energy used to work the action of a semi-automatic takes away from recoil somewhat. Pump action shotguns are somewhere in between break-barrels and autoloaders. They are heavier, but still have no springs to absorb recoil. The lighter the gun, the more recoil you will feel. Physics does not forgive. Some guns are fitted with special recoil reducing systems. Some guns have shock absorbing butt pads. There is also the matter of how well the gun fits. If the stock is too short or too long, you will have trouble mounting the gun properly, and it will beat you up.Then, there are the different kinds of ammunition. Shotguns can fire different amounts of shot of different sizes. Light target loads will recoil less than hunting loads, for example. On top of this, recoil sensitivity is individual. Some people can fire a cannon offhand, and some have trouble with a .22. Any health issues you have may also be a factor. That said, most people, even very slightly built, can manage recoil of a long gun with proper technique.First, find your pocket. Not the one on your jacket, the one on your shoulder. Put your fingers on the bony part, then slide them down and across toward your chest. You will feel a bunch of muscle, more obvious if you move your arm forward. This is the pocket. The gun needs to be held tight against that. Putting it on the bony parts left or right of the muscle pocket is going to hurt.Second, remember to lean forward a little. There is a bit more to shooting well, but these two things are where you start. There are lots videos on Youtube that talk about properly mounting a shotgun that you can watch.I would also recommend you take a lesson from an instructor, at least to start things off. They will be able to show you the basics and to correct what you are doing wrong before you hurt yourself.

Why does a comb attract a piece of paper?

This is because the comb gets charged when it is rubbed. All the objects that we see around us are made of atoms, which are small uncharged particles. It consists of a positive centre made of positively charged protons and neutral neutrons, and negatively charged electrons orbiting around it almost like planets orbit around the sun. These atoms contain equal number of protons and electrons so they are uncharged. So the surface of any object made of atoms has electrons, which are negatively charged. When the comb is rubbed against the cloth the electrons move between the two, and the comb gets charged. Many of us have learned in school that like charges repel each other and unlike charges attract each other. The same thing happens when the comb is brought near neutral paper strips. Within the papers strips, the electrons get either repelled or attracted according to whether the comb has a negative or a positive charge. This makes the paper strips have an unlike charge in the direction of the comb, and makes them rise towards it.This charge that is created when two objects are rubbed against each other is called static electricity. It is different from the electricity in our homes in that it does not move, as compared to the electricity in our homes which moves through wires and other conductors.Source : Why does a rubbed comb attract paper strips

Pet rats keep eating holes in water bottles?

Paddy is right, you have the wrong kind of water bottle. I can't tell you how many water bottles I went through like that. Forget getting one with a metal guard, it won't stop them from chewing holes in it, they will simply resort to chewing holes in the other end.

And you don't need a new cage, thats a several hundred dollar option, for a $6-$15 dollar problem.

You need a water bottle like this

They come in a bunch of sizes from different companies, if you can't get the right one from your local pet store than order one online. I have used them for years for Rats, Hamsters (Syrian and dwarf), mice and a bunch of other animals. Its the only kind that none of my animals have managed to chew through, its easy to clean and to refill, and works better with aquariums then most other water bottles. The one seen here is (I think) the 5oz model, you probably want a 10oz model for 2 rats.

Pretty much everything else you put in their cage, like the Popsicle stick play house, is designed for chewing and tearing apart, that's why they are made out of non-toxic plastic or wood. Chewing is a good bit of their fun! Chewing is also an important activity for them.

The attempting to escape activity is also normal, and is standard with almost all animals that live in cages. If they are making noise trying to lift the lid then get some lid clips, they sell them at most pet stores. If you are already using lid clips them you can use something slim in between the edges of the cage lid and the aquarium that will act as a shock absorber. You can get foam or rubber bumpers at your usual department store in the hardware section or you can tear up a corrugated cardboard box and jam some bits of cardboard in where things are banging against each other and making noise.

For some added fun, throw in some more stuff they can tear apart, my rats used to love cardboard food boxes, like the pop-tarts box, or the instant mashed potato box, they would chew on them and them sleep in whatever was left lol.
