What do you think of the name Evanna?
I love the name Evie/Eve, but I wouldn't use it as a first name on it's own so I was looking for some names it could be short for. I got the idea for Evanna from the actresses who plays Luna Lovegood in the Harry potter films, and I think it's kind of cute. It also means 'peaceful' which I like. What do you think of the name Evanna? Would it work with a sister named Emmeline, or is having two E names weird? Any other suggestions for names Evie could be short for? Thanks :)
Opinions on the name Evanna?
It's beautiful. My only concern is that no one will know how to spell it, so she'll spend her whole life spelling it out and pronouncing it for people, which (trust me) is annoying. But on the (huge) positive side, it sounds like a girl's name, which means she won't have people assuming she's a guy all the time like I do. I think if you love it, go with it. I'd choose a simple middle name, since this one is so exotic. Perhaps Evanna Rose, or Evanna Grace. Good luck :)

Hmm, well, there are several ways you can combine sounds from your mothers' names without using the whole name. Eva is a pretty name and so is Ann. I would suggest Evanna as a combination. It is very lovely and it's pronounced Eve-Anna. It also has a beautifully meaning, "peaceful". http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/... I think you could mix Patricia and Charlene into a name as well. I don't think using the P will be easy but you can use the SH sound from both names (Char and Tricia), so a name like Trisha would work. If you want to keep the "lene" from Charlene, maybe Trishalyn or a variant spelling would be pretty (Trisha-Lynn together). I think that would be a lovely name. Evanna Trishalynn. Also, I have heard the name Charlatrice before, it's more of a mix of the names Charlotte and Tricia but it could be a combination of Charlene and Tricia as well. You could spell it Charletrice or Charlatrice and it's pronounced (Sharla-Treese) (more like Reese, not trees). A simpler option might also be Tristine (like Christine) or even the name Christine would work too!
