Thoughts On This Dress For Prom

Second thoughts about prom dress?

I really fell in love with the top of this dress that I tried on, I tried on a light purple version and my mom wasn't crazy about the color. We ordered at turquoise color and its being shipped to my house and there are no returns. I'm having second thoughts about the bottoms of the dress because I think it looks like tentacles on a jellyfish.
I'm scared it may look tacky

I'd like other opinions on the look of this dress. I'm freaking out. I'm scared I made a huge mistake.

I'm having second thoughts about my prom dress, how do you feel about it ?

I bought my prom dress last week, and I fell in love.
It looked gorgeous and was very flattering! My body is almost exactly like the models' in the picture. My only concern is that it is black, and I'm worried that it would be odd to wear an all black dress.
Should i keep it or exchange it?

What should I wear with this dress for prom?

The dress is very pretty; the accessories should be an expression of yourself. Stay with the color palette of your dress - try to keep it simple so not to detract from 1) You ;-D. 2) the dress.  If you wish to go "classic" you can't go wrong with pearl dot earrings  and a 16" inch single strand of pearls. Alternatively, you can also wear a crystal bracelet  and earrings (but lose the necklace). You can also bypass jewelry and arrange your hair to put some of those bobby pins with single crystals and/or pearls in your hair.  Medium heel shoes (satin would be nice)-- type (strappy, pumps) is up to you, but be sure you can dance a lot in them! If you need a purse (for your cell phone, touch-up lip gloss), get one of those silk envelopes or clutches with some bead accents - white or picking up some the blue in your dress. Keep the purse on the small side. A pretty sheer shawl if you think you will need a wrap; a nice gauzy organza silk-like fabric - with a teeny bit of iridescence. I see you something like enchanted princess (based on the dress you chose). The dress is floaty so whatever you choose to accessorize would best complement the same effect for feminine "ballerina" look.  Someone's suggestion of photographing two (or three) looks to get votes is not a bad idea if you are really undecided. But most important You need to love it!  Have a wonderful time ;-D

Thoughts on this prom dress? Too childish?

i was thinking of adding a sash with a bow to make it a little more formal. like, the sash would wrap around my waist and the bow was go over my bum and just fall. does this sound a little bitter?

Having second thoughts about going to Prom?

soo it's my Junior prom..and im also on the prom committee. but im having second thoughts about going..all of my friends have dates besides me and like two or three others. To me, its just not Prom without a date..thats just what everyone wants to happen. And Prom is April,26..I haven't got a dress, shoes, or a mask(masquerade is the theme) and I just don't know what to do. I hate to not go in a way but the other half doesn't wanna go. SOO any advice, suggestions? Thanks:)

Can you wear a Maxi dress for Prom?

You can wear anything you want.

My date is wearing a lime green dress to prom. i thought i might wear a white tux with a lime green vest and a?

A tuxedo is not supposed to be white, green, and hot pink. Look up what a proper tuxedo is supposed to look like, and you'll find that it's far less colorful and "hip" compared to what you see at a typical prom. However, your elegance factor will shoot up a thousand-fold. Have a pink or lime green boutonniere or pocket square if you like, but stick with black and white for the main suit.

And if you wear a tuxedo the way it's supposed to be worn, you'll be noticed at your prom, paradoxically, for wearing an outfit that's not supposed to stick out.

Prom dresses. Short vs long?

Okay, so my senior prom is swiftly approaching (eeeeek!) and I am absolutely in love with a white/pink, strapless, short (about my knees) number. However, everyone I've given the link to tells me "Prom is a long dress night". So... any thoughts?

Is it really a long dress occasion? Or would my short dress be fine?

Thank you! :)

What kind of prom dress do you prefer?

I wore a short dress because it was different from others and MUCH MORE practical for dancing. I chose a dress A line because for me it was more flattering. It was the color red because this color attracts the eyes. I thought the off shoulder and the embroidery added femininity to the look. Furthermore, because I bought it online it was less expensive and nobody had my dress. I only received good comments on my dress, one of my friends even told me that out of all the dresses of the prom night, mine was her favorite after hers, of course. This is a picture similar to my prom dress :I hope it gave you some ideas
