Thoughts Pronouciation Help And Nickname Ideas For These Names

What is the proper pronunciation of the name Seaghán?

My name is Sean and my mother always emphasized that name she gave me was pronounced Shon, and rhymes with John.So after a lifetime of correcting people who read my name and call me Seen or hear my name and write Shawn, I've spent more time than most people researching my own name! That said, I have always kinda liked the idea of spelling my name Seaghan. As far as I know, it's the same exact pronunciation as what I've been taught my name is: Shon. The Sea makes the sh sound and the ghan sounds like ON or hon. So it's still the same sounds.I'm just guy named Sean though, not a linguist or Irish expert. So I'm not positive of any of the above.

Rüzgar - hard to pronounce correctly in Turkish means wind . ( even the bunny's prononciation is not exact for this word , because there should actually be a mark on the letter a, and it makes the 'a' sound a bit different. Can parents be undecided on the pronunciation of a name?

The most logically phonetic pronunciation is to rhyme it with Celia.
I think that's what most people will do when they first see the name.
One of the notes about this name is that it may be a variant of Cecelia so that pronunciation is valid.

The other common pronunciation is zay-LEE-uh or say-LEE-uh and that pronunciation traces the name to the Spanish meaning of "sunshine".

I say find the pronunciation you are most comfortable with and stick with it.
Letting the child choose at some later date would be confusing and demeaning to the child.
I mean, it's like taking a vote, which leaves the child in limbo about her own name.

How do you pronounce these Irish names?

My sister is having a baby and wants us to give her ideas. Since she is married to an Irish man, I thought she may want to try an Irish name even though we're Canadian. I know a lot of Irish names (like Sinead or Siobhan) are pronounced much differently than an Anglophone would think, so I need some pronunciation help here.
Here are the names:
Ciaran
Calhoun
Tiernan
Saoirse

What are your thoughts on the name FeZo for a startup?

Phonetically similar to "fizzle" — assuming that's not the intended path of your venture, I'd be careful with this name option unless FeZo has direct relevance to your product or business. For a beverage or candy it might be the perfect fit. You could partially overcome this phonetic issue with the brand identity, but that's an uphill struggle. Always consider how people unfamiliar with your brand might pronounce it. And these days you must make sure you verify how Siri and Google Voice pronounce your name options, you have no control over those.

For real? What if you go to Slovakia? Have you thought about your options yet?My own name is almost never pronounced right anywhere in the world. People misspell or mispronounce my name all the time.
