Tips On Falling Asleep Tonight

Any tips on falling asleep with a song stuck in your head?

I almost always have a song stuck in my head. It is generally not a problem until I try to sleep. If a song is in 4/4 time, I can usually fall asleep by giving it a very slow and deliberate beat. Usually 2 bars per breath resulting in a tempo of 64-80 bpm. I cannot do this with 3/4 time or complex time signatures, though. Unfortunately, I have a waltz stuck in my head tonight, and I just cannot slow it down. Any suggestions?

I can't sleep tonight!?

Well getting off the computer would probably be a good idea :) apparently the light from the screen can kind of wake you up.

Make sure you're wearing comfortable clothes and the temperature is OK.

Sometime re-making my bed can help me get to sleep.

Maybe also going and getting something to drink (milk, water) or eat.

Reading a book.

Listening to some music (not fast music though).

Counting down backward from a hundred, by twos (eg. 100, 98, 96, 94 etc.).

Otherwise maybe just watch some TV for a little while, and don't worry too much about being unable to sleep.

Why cant u fall asleep while having a c section?

the doctor needs to make sure that you are ok during the c-section.... i wasn't put to sleep.. just numb from the neck down, i didn't feel anything except some pushing and pressure!

How long does it take you to fall asleep? Any tips?

My ice hockey team play quite late and it's often 11pm when I get home, but I used to struggle as I was so full of adrenalin that I was too wired to relax.

I found this really helped:

* Get yourself as comfy as you can in bed and regulate your breathing to match how you would expect it to be when you sleep. Drop your breathing to what you think it is like to be asleep. Once you've got your breathing low and shallow, like being asleep, I found I drop off to sleep much much easier.
* Avoid coffee, sports drinks, anything with sugar, glucose or caffeine in from about 7pm onwards.
* Take a shower and take your time. Don't dash in and out. The heat and water tends to be pretty calming
* Don't list things you have to do tomorrow or run through things in your head at night. Once you're home, it's turnoff time.
* On your way home, if you drive, sing your freaking lungs out all the way home to a CD or your favourite radio station. I cannot stress how much this really helps. By the time you get home, all the pent up frustration or stress of the day left when you were belting out Matchbox 20 songs (in my case!).
* Ring a friend or family member that you need a catch up with, and chat to them for 30-45 minutes. Simply talking to someone you want to talk to can help relax you and help you vent any frustraion you might have, with someone who understands.

Hope this helps and hope you get some good rest!

I can't fall asleep and I don't feel well? Any tips on how to feel better?

Don't lay there thinking about not sleeping --- that is the worst feeling.

Instead give yourself some happy thoughts.
Tell yourself that you are a good person, and mentally make a list of five or six things you like about yourself.

Then tell yourself that there are naturally times when nearly everybody doesn't sleep well, and this will pass.

Sometimes getting a pencil and paper and just free form writing a list of everything on your mind (you can throw it away - nobody has to read it) can help - it works as a "brain drain" where since you wrote it down you can put it aside for the time being secure that you won't forget it.

The holiday season is upon us. And, if you are taking classes finals are just about on us...there are lots of reason why you might be stressed right now without even really realizing it...

So now is just the time to be really nice to yourself, rub your feet a little, take a warm bath, read a chapter in a book you like...whatever will make you feel a little better and relaxed.

Most of all just accept that every night you won't get perfect sleep but that you will feel better relatively soon. Tomorrow try taking a walk (or run or whatever you do for exercise) and that will help you sleep tomorrow night.

Good luck and sweet dreams.

How do you sober up from cocaine fall asleep?

Tell him when he wakes up that coke will ruin his life by 1, destroying his heart muscle, 2 wasting his money, and 3 cause erectile dysfunction, so lets review.........

1 bad heart(cant get and maintain an erection)
2, no money cant afford a car, apartment,a date with anyone
3 cant keep his weinner up,

many other more important reasons to NOT DO DRUGS, like jail sucks. But he sounds kinda dumb, so I kept this at a really low level for him. No woman worth anything will have anything to do with a broke, limp dicked loser like this, tell him I said so.

How can I get my mom to fall asleep early?

Well I am going to sneak out on Friday night. Yes, I realize all the bad things that could happen. I've taken a million precautions, to the point where it makes me seem really paranoid. My mom doesn't let me do ANYTHING though! I can't ever go out with friends, even to the movies, and she rarely lets friends come over to my house. I'm a little more mature than most of my friends, but they're the ones who get freedom. It's not right, and I shouldn't be denied a normal teenage life just because my mom doesn't care enough to let me have one. So, I'm sneaking out. Save the lectures, please!

Anyway does anyone know how I can get her to go to sleep early? She usually doesn't go to bed until around 3 in the morning and I know that none of my friends are gonna want to wait around for me that long. So, I was thinking that maybe I'd stay up all night tonight, so that I can wake her up super early in the morning. That way, she'll be tired and go to bed early. But with my mom, you never know. Are there any tips? Any foods I could make?
Any time I try to get her to go to bed early she freaks out and cusses me out and says I'm not the parent and she can go to bed whenever she pleases. Then she stays up riddiculously late that night just to prove a point.
Soooo... Any helpful tips?
Thanks :)
Ali
