Type The Formula For The Precipitate Formed When Solutions Of Sodium Sulfide And Silver Nitrate Are

What is the formula and name of the precipitate formed from silver nitrate + sodium bromide?

Duh, Silver Bromide, AgBr.

Will a precipitate form when silver nitrate reacts w/ sodium sulfate? How would you know?

We know that a double replacement will occur when you combine the two:

AgNO3+ NaSO4 = AgSO4(Silver Sulfate)+NaNO3(Sodium Nitrate)

The solubility rules state that:
1)All nitrates are soluble
2)Sulfates are soluble except for Pb, Ag, Hg+, Ca, Sr, Ba

So [Silver Sulfate] will produce a precipitate.

The Net Ionic equation is this:
Ag(+) + SO4(2-) = AgSO4(+)

(Shame on you for giving me a thimbs down when I am not even finished!)

Predict whether a precipitate will form when water solutions of silver nitrate, AgNO3(aq), and sodium sulfide, Na2S(aq), are mixed.?

Predict whether a precipitate will form when water solutions of silver nitrate Agno3(aq) and sodium sulfide Na2S(aq) are mixed. If there is a precipitation reaction what is that product?

a. No precipitate will form
b. a precipitate will form and it will be NaNO3
c. precipitate will forma nd it will be AgS
d. a precipitate will form and it will be Ag2S
e. a precipitate iwll form and it will be Na2NO3
f. both Ag2S and NaNO3 will form precipitates
g. both AgS and Na2NO3 will form precipitates

Thank you for the help!

Type the formula for the precipitate formed when solutions of sodium sulfide and silver nitrate are combined.?

Na2(SO4) + 2Ag(NO3) = + 2Na(NO3)
2Na(1+) + (SO4)(2-) + 2Ag(1+) + (NO3)(1-) = + 2Na(1+) + 2(NO3)(1-) ionic equation
(SO4)(2-) + 2Ag(1+) = net ionic equation

Identify the black precipitate formed from mixing blue copper nitrate solution with a colorless sodium sulfide?

Cu(NO3)2(aq) + Na2S(aq) ----> CuS(s) + 2NaNO3(aq)
so the solid precipitate forming from this equation is copper(II)sulphide.

Silver nitrate(aq) + sodium sulfide(aq) → silver sulfide(s) + sodium nitrate(aq)?

2AgNO3+ Na2S---> Ag2S+ 2NaNO3

When aqueous solutions of sodium sulfate and lead(II) nitrate are mixed, a solid white precipitate is formed.?

how much solid lead(II) sulfate could be produced from 12.0 g Na2SO4 if Pb(NO3)2 is in excess?

balanced equation: Na2SO4+Pb(NO3)2=PbSO4+2NaNO3

Thank you.

Sodium sulfide, Na2S, reacts with silver nitrate, AgNO3, to form sodium nitrate, NaNO3,and silver sulfide, Ag2S.?

Sodium sulfide, Na2S, reacts with silver nitrate, AgNO3, to form sodium nitrate, NaNO3,and silver sulfide, Ag2S. Write the balanced equation for this reaction. I dont understang this please help!

How do silver nitrate and sodium sulfate react together?

This reaction forms a precipitate of silver sulfate and aqueous sodium nitrate.
