Unopened Carrot Juice Expired Two Weeks Ago; Is It Still Okay To Drink

I just drank expired carrot juice. It was chunky and tasted like sour tomato paste. Will I be ok?

How much did you drink, and did you swallow it or immediately spit it out?If you spat it out- absolutely. You might distrust carrot juice in the future, but physically you’ll be fine.If you did swallow it, it really depends on how much you drank, but…You’re going to start throwing up and/or having diarrhea, and you’ll be pretty miserable until it’s out of your system, but other than that, yes, you’ll probably be fine.Make sure you stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes- Gatorade is good for this. You may feel queasy for the next day or two, but try to eat something. If you see blood in your vomit, consider seeing a doctor as you might have torn your esophagus, or something more serious.

What will happen when we drink expired mango juice?

Trust your senses. If only very recently expired, check it looks and smells fine (pour it out to check it's not lumpy or hiding any mouldy growth).Without any visual warning signs, taste a little bit. If it tastes sour or fizzy (fermented), chuck it away. If it tastes normal, and you're not elderly, a baby or otherwise immuno-compromised, it's probably fine.If it's more than a day or two old and has been opened for a while, it's up to you whether you want to risk a mild stomach ache / diarrhea or just buy some fresh stuff.

Unopened carrot juice expired two weeks ago; is it still okay to drink?

I know many products like yogurt are good past expiration, but I'm not sure about Bolthouse Farms' Carrot Juice. It didn't smell odd when I opened it a moment ago if that means anything.

Is it okay to drink Slim Fast bottled shakes that expired June 29th?

'Best before' or 'best by' means that the product is at its best before the date, but it will not harm you. 'Use by' means its off after the date, for example fresh milk. Diet shakes should be fine for a few weeks after the best before date, they may not taste as good but they won't do you any harm. I'd shove them in the fridge like you say and drink them sooner rather than later, if they smell a bit funny, or taste chemically or rotten then bin 'em! lol A shop wouldn't sell something that's gone off, whether its in the clearance or not. They have to bin anything that may be of harm to a customer, anything that's past it's 'sell by' or 'best before' date has to be reduced but not thrown away. Basically, you'll be fine, as long as you don't leave it too long to drink them (:
In future I recommend getting the slim fast powder shake thingys, they're cheaper than the non-clearance bottled shakes and last much longer.
Realistically, slim-fast isn't the best way of going about loosing weight, you'd be surprised how many carbs are in them. . . it's not just about cutting down on calories, it's about what the calories you take in consist of, and bad carbs go straight to the thighs! Try porridge, it's full of slow release carbs that will keep you're body full of energy, go about eating four or five palm sized meals a day, lots of protein, as protein fills your stomach for longer! Good luck! x

It doesnt quite work like that I'm afraid... The objective of slimfast is to reduce your calorie intake without ridding your diet of vitamins and minerals, having a meal replacement as a snack isn't the way to go about it, you may end up drastically increasing your calorie intake...:S
And yeah, I'd bin the juice lol x

EDIT: The distilled vinegar will act like a preservative.

I drank around 100ml of expired juice I bought from the market by mistake, what should I do to avoid food poisoning if 100ml actually matters?

First off, market expiration dates are mandated by the government for safe consumption, not necessarily the date at which food actually goes bad. In other words, the dates are there to guarantee food safety, not to be an exact spoilage date. You can safely consume most food somewhat beyond the mandated expiration dates.Secondly, food poisoning is a bit of a misnomer. Spoilage is usually caused by the growth of bacteria, some of which are more harmful than others. So the effects of food poisoning (aka, excessive bacteria) can range from mild upset stomach to severe vomiting to (in extremely rare cases) death. Food beyond the expiration date that has no noticeable change in smell and taste is not likely to cause a severe reaction. As long as you have not eaten 20 year expired peas from a misshapen can, you can probably rule out any medical emergencies. My wife and I once picked up some prepackaged sandwiches from a Little America truck stop on a road trip through Wyoming. After we got back on the road and both of us took a few bites it occurred to us to check the expiration dates because the sandwiches were soggy and tasted funny. Both sandwiches were four months beyond the expiration date! Needless to say, we did not finish them, though we had no desire to stop our trip over concern for our health. Neither of us suffered any ill effects that I can recall. All of that said, raw meat or contaminated food or drink is a very different story. Raw meat in particular can have bacteria that is deadly. If you think you have been served raw meat or contaminated food or drinki and are feeling ill, don't mess around: seek medical attention immediately.

What happens when you eat expired food?

Expiration date is a legal requirement to warranty that the food gets fresh to the final customer. Expiration dates often have a security margin to minimize the chances of food going bad before the expiration date. So, expiration date is not a hard limit. Fresh products like milk have the shorter expiration dates, but even if you open a bottle of fresh milk after its expiration date, and it smells good, then it's good. If it smells foul it means fermentation has started. Even if you drink it, it probably wont hurt you, as normal fermentation is used to make cheese and yogurt from milk.Expired white bread might not be as soft as a fresh one, but still edible. If many days have passed, it may grow mold. In this case, it may taste bad, but mostly harmless, unless you are allergic to penicillin. In some places expired white bread, retired from stores is reprocessed into toast white bread, which when expired is grind into bread powder, which when expired is turned into crumble cookies.Sometimes expired human food is used to feed animals.Food with expiration dates of years probably will be edible months or a year after expiration date. The main risk about eating long expired food, specially canned food, is the risk of developing botulism bacteria. It can be the result of sterilization of food not being perfect, or container failure, allowing pathogens to enter and contaminate the food. So, eating food few days after expiration date, won't hurt you, but I won't eat food years after expiration date. Unless there is a zombie apocalypse.Remember, expiration dates are for unopened food containers. Once you open the container, expiration date means nothing. Food will normally last some days or hours, depending on temperature and exposure to bacteria.

How long will a packaged corned beef stay good in the Refrig.??

Corn beef precooked IF it is in a vacuum bag and is unopened and has been under refrigeration the hole time will last 30 days + but it must meet the info above. Uncooked there should be a brand name on it if so there should be a 1-800-# you could call to check with them but 2 weeks & its ( unopended vacuum bag ) you should be fine. If it was prepared by a deli or butcher and raped by hand 2 weeks is to long throw it out.
