Uscis I-693 Is It Needed For My Husband

I would like to know how can i bring my husband home from ghana to the united states to live with me ?

If you got married in his country you should have filed the appropriate paperwork at the US embassy there as it could have saved you sometime. At the moment you have to file for a K3 visa to bring your spouse to the US by using the following:

Once the visa has been successfully issued AND your spouse is in the US.Yous shall then have to file for US residency.

"Marriage Green Card

If both the U.S. Citizen and Foreign National Spouse are in the U.S., the U.S. Citizen may apply for the Foreign National Spouse’s Permanent Residence through Adjustment of Status with the USCIS.

Who Qualifies:

Any U.S. Citizen in the United States with a Foreign National Spouse who entered the U.S. legally with a visa or a visa waiver. It is OK if the visa or I-94 has expired. Canadian Citizens do NOT need to show proof of entry (visa or visa waiver).

An Overview of the Process:

Once the marriage has taken place, the couple files the following with USCIS:

1. Petition for Alien Relative (USCIS Form I-130)
2. Application to Register Permanent Residence (USCIS Form I-485)
3. Biographic Information (USCIS Form G-325A)
4. Affidavit of Support (USCIS Form I-864)
5. Permission for Work Authorization (Optional) (USCIS Form I-765)
6. Medical Examination Results (USCIS Form I-693)
7. Request for Travel Documents (Optional) (USCIS Form I-131)
8. The appropriate supporting documents
9. The USCIS filing fees ($1,010 to $1,365).

The USCIS will contact you first regarding the Biometrics / Fingerprinting Appointment.

The USCIS will then issue the work authorization and permission to travel approximately 90 days after filing.

The USCIS will contact you next to schedule an interview. This will be anywhere from 6 months to 9 months after filing the initial application.

Following a successful interview, the foreign national spouse will receive a stamp classifying him/her as a Conditional Permanent Resident.

USCIS will mail the Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) approx 4-8 weeks after the successful interview.

The Conditional Status may be dropped by applying for Removal of Conditional Status (USCIS Form I-751) within 90 days of the 2 year anniversary of the granting of Conditional Permanent Residency."

My husband is filing I-485 Adjustment of status but we lost his vaccination supplement, what can we do?

You can go to a USCIS approved civil surgeon to have them complete an I-693 for you. Without proof of prior vaccinations you may be required to get all the required vaccinations again.

You can find a local USCIS civil surgeon using the link below.

The little card you were given sounds like a vaccination record, not the vaccination supplement. If you have the actual supplement (DS-3025, single page form) signed by the doctor who performed your medical, a USCIS civil surgeon would be able to use that as an official vaccination record and complete the I-693 from it rather than requiring new courses of vaccinations.

Why do I need two medical exams and 2 rounds of shots for immigration?

So i'm on a K3 visa from the UK to the US. While i was doing my paperwork in London I was required to visit an American certified medical practice in London to receive a required medical. Which I did. I went and had chest x rays, blood taken which they check for HIV and shots. Anyway that all went fine. I got my interview done and came to the US. Now that i'm in the US I did my biometrics and have now been told that I need ANOTHER? medical. And that all applicants must do this, and results from the medical in London do not count?
So now I have to go get my blood taken again and xray/shots? I was shocked, i've had these 12 shots already mostly as a child and at school, there is only one shot on the list that I have not had. So why must i have all these childhood shots yet again? I'm talking about MMR, Polio, things that all children in the UK are given. I'm really not looking forward to having to take the unnecessary danger of having shots again. The woman has told me that it's harmless to have them twice, but i'm still worried I really hate 1 needle anyway let alone 12. Is there no way I can use British records to prove i've had already these shots and am up to date on things like tetanus from more recent GP visits?

Does the USCIS officer have a right to go through my phone during the green card interview with my husband?

You may be within your right to refuse search of your phone, in which case, you could be asked to leave the office and your interview adjourned/cancelled. Keep in mind that you are generally expected to consent to search and security screening while entering a federal government office including USCIS.Ref: https://www.gsa.gov/about-us/reg...More importantly, ask yourself: Is there a cause for USCIS officer to suspect something about you or your Green Card application ? What raised his suspicion about your case that requires a review of your phone?

If an Indian girl gets married to a US citizen, when will she get a green card? Is there any status related to having a green card?

To elaborate on other responses, it matters if she gets married in the US or abroad. The process that Matt described is for the adjustment of status within the US. And the timeline, as a matter of fact, can be a bit more aggressive. Please consider Green Card Through Marriage Timeline and the video below. For anyone getting married abroad, the process of getting a green card is a bit more complicated and lengthy. If she does not have a US visa, she have to apply for a spouse immigrant visa in her home country. And this may take a north of one year. Consider this for more details Green Card Process.Regarding status with the green card, the short answer is she’d have full immigrant status. She will have all rights and protections under the constitution of the US, short of voting and holding certain public offices. Freedom to travel and work in the US being the ones most sought after benefits. For more green card benefits, consider What are Green Card Benefits? If they happen to divorce before she files for the green card, she can still pursue green card through marriage. However, this process is less than clean. She’d need to prove that she was battered or abused in the marriage and that is why she sought separation. If she can prove that, she can still apply for a green card without her husband sponsoring her let along consenting her becoming an immigrant.

My wife has lost her DS-3025 copy. But the USCIS has an original copy of the packet. What to do ith i-693?

go back to the doctors office they probably can do you a copy
you can guarantee there will be a fee

Will marijuana show up in my US Visa Medical Exam?

This should not be construed as legal advice. All the Doctors & law enforcement officers that may have smoked marijuana…but NEVER inhaled….all answered the question regarding have you ever used drugs without a prescription or recreational drugs…. NOBecause the ones that said yes are entertaining different career's. My step son answered yes to marijuana use, screening doc wrote down as cocaine use… and immigration application ended there when the interviewing INS officer read that in report. I was able to get medical report corrected…and his file was approved… but marijuana is still illegal on a federal level…and last I looked immigration is handled on a federal level….hope this helps.
