Verizon Turned Our Phone Off

"Manner Mode" on Verizon phone?

That frustrated me to no end for quite awhile, I have a LG phone with Verizon and it ended up being the * key. Hold it down for a few until it either vibrates (to turn it on) or beeps (to show it has been turned off).

Manner mode is simply that, good manners - a way to let your phone ring without interrupting anyone, say...at a business meeting, in school, etc... without actually turning off your phone.

Do you still receive texts if your phone is turned off?

I have a VERIZON phone and plan. When I turn my phone off, I feel as if I'm missing some important texts from people. Does Verizon store your texts when your phone is off and notify you of new ones when you turn it back on? Sorry for the stupid question, but I know that some providers do store texts, while others delete them.

Verizon phones. How do you turn the waiting music off?

You need to remove the Ringback tones feature from your account. It costs $.99 a month to have it play. It's usually free for a month when you sign up and if you don't remove it then you get charged. You can log into your account online to remove it or just give them a call.

How do i switch phones on verizon?

1) Some phones can be activated right from your Verizon account online, while others can’t. Check if your phone can be activated by logging in to your account > My Account > My Phone > Activate Phone. (if this works, skip to step #3)

2) If they give you an error message, call 800-922-0204 and tell the machine that you want to change your phone. You’ll need to call from a different phone, since your old cell phone needs to be turned off to make the switch. Turn off your new phone also.

3) Take out the battery from your old phone and find the ESN number or the HEX number and be ready to enter the number or tell the customer service rep.

4) You’ll need to turn on your new phone, and dial *228 to activate and program your new phone to work. Press “1″ after you hear a voice prompt. You will hear music and then be asked to “commit OK”, which just means press “OK”.

5) Your phone should turn itself off, and then back on all by itself. Try calling your number from a different phone to make sure the phone is activated, and enjoy!

How long does it take Verizon to cut your phone off for late payment?

If you are talking about Verizon Wireless, this answer can help you. Verizon Wireless will "suspend" (not disconect) your line after being 60 days late in one bill. For example, you get your bill of $200 dollars, you pay $50, $150 are carry over to the next bill, next bill is $100 (now you have to add the balance from the bill before) so, now you owe $250, when that new bill is due, you will be considered to be late 30 days, they will start calling you and giving you warnings. Then, you pay $100 of the $250, now you $150 that carry over, your new bill is $100, now you owe $250, but you are considered to be late 60 days on $50 dollars (because wahtever payment you make it goes towards the first amount, so the payments you have been making take care of the first late amount) so, you get suspended for the $50.00 you owe. Now, you are late 60 days on $50.00, 30 days late on $100, and you owe current $100.0. To get reconnected you need to pay at least the $50.00 before they turn into 90 days (that is when they cut your line permantly, you have to pay the bills you owe, the current ussage you have, plus deactivation fee, $150-$175). Remember also that you have an amount that is 30 dyas late, you have to pay that before it turns in 60 days and tehy supend you again.
So, you have 60 days to pay a late amount before they suspend you.
If you call customer service, and you are not regularly late, they will work with you with dates that you can pay.
Also, if your bill is due on a certain date, you actually have 4 days after that date to pay it and not to be considered late.

In a Verizon wireless, how do you turn off the voicemail?

To disable your voice mail you will need to call Verizon wireless and speak to a representative. Tell the representative that you would like your voice mail service removed.Or if you don't want to totally turn it off but stop people from leaving a message you can do the following:Call your cell phone and leave yourself multiple lengthy voice-mail messages. You will eventually fill your voice mail's message capacity and your service will not allow anyone to leave you a message. Then if you want to reverse that so that messages can then be received again you call your voicemail and delete the fake messages you left.Another way is to just call your voicemail and forward your number to another phone with no voicemail such as your home phone if you have one and it doesn't have voicemail.1st option is probably best though if you just don't want voicemail anymore on your cell.
