Very Small Font Size When Printing

Print size on internet is too small.?

Hi,
If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser. At the top look for the "View" category and click on it.
Hover over "Text Size".
Click on "Larger: or "Largest".
It should then change automatically.
Hope this helps :)

What should be the font size for printing a novel?

Use 11-point Palatino for text. Use 14-point Helvetica for chapter titles and 12-point Helvetica for section headings. Use the more exotic fonts and larger sizes for shorter items like  the title and author's name on the cover, or for chapter titles.Compact-width fonts, like Times Roman, look best in 11 or 12 points.  Wider fonts, like Palatino, look best in a smaller font size, usually  10 or 11 points."Large print" books are at least 14 points.

How do i change the font size on printing , it is so small i can hardly see it when i print something off?

The most often cause of small print is usually due to the screen resolution. A higher resolution affects the on-screen print size and carries over to how it prints out as well.

The following is for use with Internet Explorer 7, but may be the same or similar for other versions or web browsers.

One way is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on "File" then "Print Preview". At the top of the window there should be a small window with "Shrink To Fit" in it. Click the arrow on that box for a drop down list and choose something, like 90% (there is a custom option at the bottom of the list if you need to set something unique in between what's listed) and see how it changes the print size of what is to be printed out and choose the one that looks and works best for you without cutting off text somewhere. This will make it larger when printed out.

Another way that usually works to make the print larger when printing internet stuff & emails is by changing the view size on the screen to a larger size in your web browser (this is separate from your other setting you've already setup). Go to the menu bar at the top (i.e. Internet Explorer), click on "View," then "Text Size" then select a size like "Larger" or "Largest" (something higher than what you're currently set to.)

Sometimes adjusting the current window's magnification (lower right corner of screen or Ctrl button + scroll wheel on mouse) can have an affect on print size.

The only other method is to copy & paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. If you're using a text program, then you simply adjust the size of the text to a 12 or 14 point, or larger, font size (adjust depending on the font and size you need) and that should do the trick.

Best of Luck

Printing font size way too small?

You may find, as I did, that you have at some time altered the Scaling setting in your browser's print settings. Perhaps when printing pages with images to get them to fit on one sheet wide.
For example in Mozilla Firefox, when you Print Preview a page from the browser menu, there is a box at the top of the window, which shows the scaling. Mine was set at 40%
Alter this setting back to 100% and print a test page.
Then, when back in your email programme (I use Yahoo! Mail), when you select Print on the Yahoo! Mail menu, the mail should print as expected in a font size (10 or 12) large enough to read.

Why does my printer print real small?

It depends on what you're trying to print and what applications you're using. If it's a program on your computer (i.e. Word, Excel, etc), you should be able to select the font size that you'd like.

When you are printing stuff from the internet (web pages, email, etc.) the reason for the small print is that it is related to the size of the monitor and it's viewing setup (the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the print will be when printing it out even though it looks good on the monitor).

One way you can make the print larger when printing internet stuff & emails is by changing the print view size on the screen to a larger size in your web browser (this is separate from your other setting you've already setup). Go to the menu bar at the top (i.e. Internet Explorer), click on "View," then "Text Size" then select a size like "Larger" or "Largest" (something higher than what you're currently set to.)

I think the best method for internet printing is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on "File" then "Print Preview". At the top of the window there should be a small window with "Shrink To Fit" in it. Click the arrow for a drop down list and choose something probably above 80% or more (maybe 100 or 125%) and see how it changes the print size of what is to be printed out and choose the one that looks and works best for you.

The only other method is to copy & paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. If you're using a text program, then you simply adjust the size of the text to a 12 or 14 point, or larger, font size (adjust depending on the font and size you need) and that should do the trick.

My printer prints everything too small...?

You can't increase the font size with your printer. It does not have that option. You need to increase the size from source of which you are getting the data from before you print Example: if you wanted to print a word document, you would go to the taskbar on the top and change the font settings prior to printing. Or do this Open up the what you want to print Left click and highlight either part or the whole area you want printed Right click the highlighted area and click print preview Change the box "As laid out on screen" to "As selected on screen" doing this will let you print all or part depending on what is highlighted In the box Shrink to fit, change it to increase or reduce the size font that you want to use Click print, and go to Page Range, and make sure you add a dot to SELECT Click print

My word document is appearing very small in size..?

Am not sure whether you mean the document is appearing small on-screen, or your printer is printing out your document in small writing.
If it's the former, either you are using too small a font size (indicated by the number displayed on the toolbar, to the left of the B (bold type) button), or you need to alter how the document is appearing on-screen by clicking on the down-pointing arrow on your toolbar immediately to the right of the number displayed as a percentage, and choosing a different option from the drop-down menu.
If it's the printer printing small writing, go into the File menu and click on Print, as if you were going to print out the document. In the Print dialog box, click on "Properties" to get into your printer-driver program; once there, check what paper size your printer is set to print upon. Once the printer is set up correctly, either commence printing, or exit the printer driver program and return to your document.

How do i increase the font size on my printer? prints so small it's hard to read?

I'm guessing you're trying to print from the internet, web browser or email. The following is for use with Internet Explorer 7, but may be the same or similar for other versions or web browsers.

One method for adjusting internet/e-mail printing is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on "File" then "Print Preview".
