Victoria Secret Bra Rash

Formaldehyde in Victoria's Secret bras? ?

Only some women are suffering rashes, etc because of the formaldehyde. I'm one of them and it's HORRIBLE. I don't think I would worry about it unless you're one of the women who's had a reaction. Saw the story on the news this morning, am outraged that I've had a carcinogenic chemical pressed to my chest every day for months, causing me so much discomfort and irritation and pain.

I have purchased VS bras for years and never had a problem... bought several new bras this last spring and started having the problem then. I was thinking it was maybe my detergent, or that I had something else wrong with me.

Even though I loved their bras for years, I'll never buy or wear another VS bra again. Went out this afternoon and bought all new non-VS bras.

I'm so disgusted right now...

Do you wash bras before wearing?

I just bought 2 new Victoria's Secret bras. Then I read this article about a woman getting a terrible rash from her Victoria Secret bra...ugh, nothing is safe anymore! Anyway, do you wash your bras before wearing? I always wash my panties before I wear them the first time, but what about bras? I never thought about it I guess until I read that article...also since you're supposed to hand wash them in cold water...is that getting bacteria off them?? I'm kind of a germ freak and I wouldn't think cold water and letting them air dry would kill bacteria if there's any on them...

Will Victoria's Secret Lotion Give you A Rash?

I was wondering the same thing. I just purchase $30 dollars worth (6 lotions) and I am considering taking them back. I did some research on one the main ingredients in VS lotion, Mineral Oil.

Check out this link about mineral oil. http://www.herballuxuries.com/mineral-oi...

I hope I can return the lotions. I guess anything that smells that good cannot be good for you.

Self Adhesive Bras?

Even back as a B the self adhesive bra didn't work to well. If I perspired it would unstick itself. I would not recommend one for a C. I did find a strapless C that had some kind of a dry gel type of substance that helped hold it in place. It was an under wire, so pretty good support too, but don't remember the brand right now. The other one that I tried was a clear strap from Victoria's Secret. It was not as good as a strapless. Just ran into my closet to check it out. "Customize It" by Maidenform. I have had it for several years so I am not sure if they are still available.

My teenage daughter has secretly bought a bra. How can I tell her it is perfectly natural and OK?

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just say that (that it’s perfectly ok to buy a bra)… I don’t see why she should be embarrassed either… it should be fine to just tell her privately "hey, I know you bought a bra and you should never feel embarrassed to come ask me to help or answer some questions… i’m your mum and you should trust me.. i’ve gone through everything you are and will go through, I will not judge you, I am here for you whenever you need me"Maybe my mum and I are just super close but the key to EVERY AND ANY relationship is COMMUNICATION!!! you don’t want your kids to grow up holding back personal things or even none personal things— when they get used to holding back on small things, the big things aren’t told.I hope this helps, sorry it’s long but I just can’t imagine a world where my mum isn’t my best friend and I want everyone to have that special bond!!I also want to mention- i’m 20 and i’ve always been close with my mum, I never hid anything and I think the real key is communication… she never held back and never judged me with my odd questions and that builds real trust yknow?Ok ok, I think you get it…littlw edit* if you’re a dad, I think you have just as much of a chance to have this relationship, if there are things you don’t know how to respond with, don’t make it awkward, tell them confidently that you don’t know the answer but you will try your best to help and find out.If you make it awkward, it’ll make your kid feel awkward and doubt themselves…SORRY I TALK TOO MUCH OK I HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL

Underwear+Rash? never happened before...?

So my mom bought me 2 pairs of victoria secret underwear, so of course i wore them the next 2 days. Well... this morning i woke up and i have a rash that goes around the front of my panty lines.... like where the band was.
the rash looks like a bunch of large bug bites put toghether, but its spread on my front, and a little around my bikini line. its weird, and itches really bad.

the band for the underwear was slightly thicker than what im used to, but i wouldnt think that was the problem.

I really want to know if Victoria secret has something/uses something different than other companies (this seriously was like.. my first victoria secret panties.)

How to get rid of rash/ sweat mark between my breasts?

First - make sure you are wearing the correct bra size. Any department store / lingerie store (like Victoria's secret) can measure you. Wearing the correct bra size? Try cotton fabric - skin has a much easier time breathing through cotton and is less likely to be irritated. After you get out of the shower and put on your bra - sprinkle baby powder on. This should help with the rash.

Can you fix itchy bras?

I'm not a bra expert so I could be wrong, but I found that when my bra was too small it dug in causing my skin to itch :) or you could just be having a reaction to the material

Can we swim while wearing a bra?

It depends on individual's comfort, body, size, and shape. According to me, support is what, that would be necessary for everything. Yes, we can wear a bra while swimming because it's your choice to be comfort with it or not. You can wear a bikini top, tankini or bikini set while swimming it may let you feel free.
