Waiting For F1 Visa Since 12 Months

Question about the visa bulletin.?

What they are talking about is how much the cut-off date might move each month over the next 3 months. Not that the wait will be 3-5 weeks altogether for F4 visas by October. So, in the F4 category, the cut off date for July is 22 May 2001, which means that next week, only those F4 petitions filed on or before that date will be valid for use or current. If the cut off date moves 3 weeks, each month, that's slower than the calendar, so the overall wait over time would be more than the 12 years it is currently. if it averages out 5 weeks per month,or it moves slightly faster than the calendar, it would be less than the 12 years it is currently.

but over 12 years, the cut off dates could do anything. I've even seen them move backwards on occasion, or not move at all for 6 months in a row. lately in your F4 category, it's only been moving forward one week per month for some time. Now it's speeding up a bit, but however you look at it, you have a long wait for now..

Student with F1 visa getting married to a US Citizen?

Well, this is going to be a bit more difficult than you imagine. If you drop out of school for 6 months, and go home, you'll need a new I-20 from the school and new registration in SEVIS, and in all probability a new student visa, assuming it's approved, which given your game plan, it really shouldn't be. not to mention, if you and your husband aren't actually living together, chances are more than fair that you will indeed have problems with your immigrant petition and, your green card. Or, you could wait until you finish school and still do this.

However, if your intention when you apply for your student visa is to get married, you may well have problems, and should, since your stated intention is to marry and get a green card, so you are by definition, an intending immigrant. There are other possibilities, including having your fiance file a fiance petition now, or get married now, and return to the US on the fiance petition, and get married within 90 days, or come back on the immigrant visa. No reason why you wouldn't be able to return to class, although predicting how long it would take to process either the K or the immigrant visa is imprecise.

Will you have problems if you get married and don't live together. Possibly not right away perhaps, but down the road certainly. It will be hard to assert you have a husband/wife relationship, if you don't live together. Impossible, no, but difficult, more than it should be. Maybe you should consider moving half an hour in his direction, and have him move half an hour in yours. Isn't that what married life is supposed to be about, compromise?

U.S. Student Visa F1?

Vuvuzela Hero is incorrect and is probably thinking about the I-20, which the school does indeed fill out. No one "fills out" the F-1 visa. You must make sure that the I-20 is still valid: it must likely be reissued by the school for the new academic term, as you must have a program start date that is realizable (you must have time after the visa is issued to get to the school).

You are permitted to reapply for the visa at any time. However, to qualify for a student visa, you must show, among other things, that you have intent to return to your residence abroad after completing your studies. Among younger people, this can be tough to show, and the consular officer will also determine whether you seem like a bona fide student and whether you appear to have a reason to return to the U.S. Basically, there is no waiting period when you magically qualify. You must appear to qualify to the consular officer. Sometimes, when your life circumstances change enough, you will start to qualify.

Can she travel as six month pregnancy with f1 student visa to USA?

NO, there is NO insurance that will cover the costs of your wife's delivery. If you want a US citizen baby, you will have to pay for the delivery yourself, which will cost at least $8,000 if there are no complications. If your wife does not pay the hospital bill, you will have to deal with a collection agency, which can sue you to recover the costs. If you don't want to go into debt, your wife should deliver in her country and then come to the US.

RFE on 17-month OPT STEM extension application?

The DSO at your school is your best source of assistance. The application process for the 17-month STEM extension includes:

* The student files Form I-765 with USCIS, Form I-20 endorsed by the DSO, a copy of the STEM degree, and the required application fee.
* Form I-765 is being amended to require the student to indicate the degree and provide the employer’s E-Verify information.
* If their post-completion OPT expires while the 17-month extension application is pending, students who timely filed their STEM extension applications with USCIS will receive an extension of employment authorization after their current employment authorization expires, but for no more than 180 days.

You filed a timely application, and you qualify for the 180 day extension of your current EAD card. Your application must have lacked something important if a RFE was made. Just comply with the RFE. Ask your DSO for assistance.
