I’m a guy and I wanna get a thigh tattoo, it has a meaning of my mother passing away, some guys find thigh tattoos gay? Need help?

My mom had her thigh tatted, so that’s why I want it on my thigh.. I’m in Wrestling and it is gonna show at times, I don’t find this gay. But if In the tattoo world tattoos on thighs are gay I don’t wanna get tatted there.

Can a tattoo with the woman`s name help make her feel special?

NO. NO NO NO NO NO. NO! Even getting your current girlfriend's name tattooed on yourself is an idea I'd recommend against, because the average tattoo lasts a lot longer than the average relationship. But getting your ex's name tattooed on your arm? What the hell are you thinking? The most likely thought process in her mind is not going to be "Oh wow, I guess he really cares about me!" It's going to be "Holy crap this person is crazy and obsessive! I wonder if this is sufficient grounds for a restraining order?" If you really care about her, and you want to try again, as you've said you need to rebuild the trust between you - and that means letting her set the pace for reconstructing your relationship, if that's what she wants. Getting your name tattooed on her will put an incredible amount of pressure on her, which will almost certainly just drive her further away from you. Seriously, you might as well just show up at her door, carve her name into your forehead with a machete, and threaten to shoot a puppy if she doesn't go out with you again. So, in summary:  No. You should not do this.

Will someone help with my tattoo desighn?

I can't give a solid answer, but I can give some advice! Think long and hard about the possibilities - what do you love? Do you have a hobby that's really important, like music or books? Do you have a favorite animal that you just wanna cuddle every time you see it? Is there a particular style of tattoo that you like - classic "flash" work compared to realistic portraits or tribal? Take all of those things into consideration - then start your search. Search online at generalized sites for your interests, you won't want a tattoo that someone else could pull off a website and get the same thing - tats are meant to be an artistic expression of the person wearing them. Do you have friend that draw, and know you fairly well? Ask them to start doodling some ideas for you - they'd be thrilled to see their work in a permanent place!
Try looking at www.deviantart.com or look up the Elfwood gallery (I can't remember the site) for a ton of unique, personal art. If you see something you like, make sure you get the artists permission to use it. Feel free to email more questions if you need.

I wanna get a tattoo in honor of my grandfather that past away. Correct spelling is needed though...?

Everyone in our family called him Papap Jim, and my question is do you spell it: Papap or Pap Pap i have always spelled it Papap and was never told any different. I wanna make sure it's right before i get the tattoo. And please NO comments about how tattoos will look bad when i am older, blah blah blah...

I'm a 15-year-old girl and I want to get a tattoo. Is it too soon for me?

Let's assume that all the other answers ("too young," "no money," "illegal," blah blah blah) have already been established. I'm not going to discredit these points, but they come off condescending and, more to the point, preach to a point that isn't really convincing. All that said, let's offer a far more personal and straight-forward answer that's relevant to you:The body of a 15 year old female is hardly done transitioning.Between growing and all the all-too-well-known changes happening, getting a tattoo just about anywhere on your body will serve an immediate gratification before falling victim to warping. You ever see a muscle-head who got a tattoo when he was a string-bean? How about somebody who got a tattoo when they were incredibly heavy but then decided to drop 100+ pounds? Tattoos distort with skin, and while you can't exactly plan ALL shifts and changes (who knows that you won't decide to be a body builder in 20 years and warp any ink you'd gotten before then) it stands to reason that if you're in the middle of a such a dramatic "transformation"--for lack of a better word--getting a tattoo now would be committing to a warped piece in only a few short years.Better to just make a note of the tatts you want now and rock them when they've got a "finished" canvas to work with.

Why do I pass out when I get a tattoo?

A tattoo is, at heart, an injury. If you don’t take the time to make sure your system is ready for a shock, it can overwhelm your body. The next time you go for a tattoo, make sure you:Have enough sleep; Are well hydrated (this also means no alcohol);Have eaten beforehand (real food, not sugar). These things will help your body be ready to be stabbed thousands of times with a tiny needle. Here are some great resources on the subject of tattoo prep:How To Prepare For A Tattoo Session At Chronic Ink TattoosWhat to do Before You Get a TattooHow to Prepare for a TattooGetting A Tattoo - Preparing For A Tattoo The RIGHT WayOne further comment - while some resources say you should avoid coffee on the day, if you normally have a coffee in the morning, drink that coffee! No need to add the extra stress of a caffeine jones to a physically stressful procedure.Same for smoking - I still regret the time I ran out of cigarettes the day before and didn’t buy more before starting the tattoo, because it really didn’t help.

I want to get a marine tattoo to support my brother, where should I putt it?

Glad you want to show your support, but get the tattoo where it can always be covered easily. As someone who has 7 tats...take it from me when you are older you won't want tats showing all the time. And PLEASE do not get it on your neck! There is nothing sexy or appealing to one there on men or women (in my opinion). Also, be sure the one you decide to get is one that YOU like not someone else's choice, after all you are the one walking around with it the rest of your life(unless you have thousands of dollars to have it painfully lasered off)

I really want to get a tattoo. I've got a design, where I want it, and a reputable artist willing to tattoo a minor. What are some tips to help me not freak out?

I personally can’t say I have gotten a tattoo but as a person who is well aquatinted with a tattoo artist I am somewhat qualified to answer this question. You probably want to prepare yourself. Depending on where you get the tattoo it’s going to hurt a lot or very little. I guess it depends on how well you handle pain. So try and mentally prepare yourself for the pain. Remember too that you can take breaks. Getting a tattoo doesn’t mean sitting there for hours on end enduring pain. Take as many breaks as you want. You should probably eat beforehand as well and be hydrated. Nobody wants to sit in a chair for a couple hours being hungry and thirsty. Also where comfortable clothing. Now when you’re in the process of getting the tattoo my best advice would be to occupy your mind with something else. That could be listening to music or watching something. Anything to try and get your mind off of what the artist is doing. Relax! Don’t forget to do that. Try some deep breathing to try and get your heart rate down. Talk to your artist about how you feel and see what they suggest you do. This is definitely not there first rodeo so they should be able to help you out a lot. Hope that helped.
