Was Prescribed Toradol And I Don

Does toradol show positive in a drug screen or make positve someother drug?

Toradol is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID), so I don't see where you'd be in much legal trouble, unless the drug isn't prescribed to you.

Drug tests don't check for drugs in the strictest sense of the term; they check for metabolites of the drug in question. The metabolites are the end products after your body has processed, or "metabolized" a drug.

Hydrocodone and oxycodone are opioids, whose source plant is the opium poppy, so a urine screen would show up as you having opiates in your urine. But opiates doesn't mean you're a heroin junkie.

So what does this mean? I'm almost positive that Toradol is not a typical drug that is screened for in a urinalysis, so the test would probably come up as inconclusive. Just don't have one of the typical metabolites of commonly abused drugs in your system (THC, methamphetamines, opiates, barbituates, etc.) and you should be fine.

My doctor gave me a prescription for Toradol injections (serious answers only please) without any directions?

I've taken Toradol injections. It's much harder than giving myself insulin because Toradol is a deep muscle injection. Th needles are larger and longer. You need to be instructed in how to jab yourself with the needle. Usually, the nurse has you practice on an orange because it simulates skin. Any injection:
First draw back on the needle;then insert needle into rubber stopper of medicine vial.Next plunge air from needle into bottle. And you need to hold the vial rubber seal side facing down, needle up into it. Then draw back medicine into needle.Usually the Toradol needles have a limit to what you can draw into them. After the right dosage is in needle, pull it out of the vial.Tap the plastic tube near the sharp side to get air bubbles into end.(you've probably seen nurses do this on doctor shows) Then squirt just a bit out of the end to release the bubble.
The pharmacy also carries Toradol shots pre-filled and you get a tiny end needle that screws onto the base. These are the easiest types to use. Good luck!

Can I give my dog toradol, for pain?

Clarification: I have taken him to the Vet (2x already); He is on 2 antibiotics for the infection. He was on Tramadol for pain. At the time. I did not have $ to cover the tramadol. I have $ now, it's just that the Vet is closed. I was only wondering if Toradol was an option - until I can get to the Vet tomorrow.

Has anyone taken the drug ''toradol''?

Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and I will NOT prescribe this. The side effects for a NSAID are too drastic. You are better off with percosette if you can take it. This drug can only be taken for 5 days and you can not lay down when you take it. I don't like it. This is a cop out drug IMO and doesn't work for the type of surgery you have had. YOU NEED serious pain meds and not a NSAID. I have no clue what your doctor was thinking, but I would have him have this surgery and see how soon he screamed for morphine.
Please get help. This drug is NOT strong enough to help you. Surgery is surgery and new discs need a huge major pain relief not a non-narcotic. This is inhuman in my opinion. I would NEVER let any of my patients take this. If won't necessary hurt, but it will NOT help. Percosette 5/325 3X would be my guess at least. Call him and ask if this is something you can take. That's what we prescribe. I'm sooooo sorry you are going through this. I can really feel how bad you feel having had 11 plants and I will take this and this is NOT even close to your surgery is the least they could give you. Please call and demand relief. I don't know where you are of what State etc. Let me know. M

I took 2 10mg of toradol is that ok?

I was prescribed 20mg of Toradol twice a day, so it's not going to kill you or anything, but you should not take more than your recommended dose with out checking with your doctor first, you could get in trouble if you are under the care of a pain management doctor.

What determines whether a doctor will prescribe an opiate based painkiller or not?

I was prescribed ketorolac for pain, rather than a stronger opiate based painkiller. The ketorolac isnt helping but if i ask for something like hydrocodone or oxycodone, they'd deny me???? Also, I get really nauseated after taking the ketorolac. Should i go back?

Leftover toradol for toothache pain?

The past week or so I've had some really severe tooth pain. It started when I chipped one of my molars. I have a dental appointment scheduled soon, but I really could use some relief in the meantime. Last summer, I was prescribed toradol (an NSAID) after the birth of my son via c- section. It handled the pain really well and didn't make me feel all dopey like a lot of narcotic pain relievers leave you feeling. They are 10mg tablets, and the dosage indication on the bottle is One every six hours by mouth as needed for pain. However, reading up on it online regarding dosage information, it says the first initial dose is usually administered via IV. I did have that IV dosage first...but a year ago when the medication was prescribed to me. Does this matter? I'd like to believe that it wouldn't be harmful because my doctor prescribed me quite a few of them, and I wouldn't have taken the entire bottle..so naturally I'd have some left over. I would really like to take one to help subside the pain from this awful toothache. I know the general rules- not to take ibuprofen or any other type of NSAID while taking the medication, don't drive, etc-etc. Someone with some knowledge, please tell me I can!
