Weather For Bahama Cruise In Late March Early April

Western caribbean cruise weather in April?

Well I am going to disagree with the person above me. I went on a cruise to the western Caribbean in January. Grand Cayman was beautiful, the weather was mid to lower 90's. Jamaica on the other hand was extremely hot, my cousin passed out partly because she was pregnant. The temperatures were mid to upper 90's. The heat index however, was 105. Cozumel was overcast when I was there but, normal temperatures for that time were low 90's to mid 80's. Miami is usually pretty warm.

The weather at sea is usually warm or hot. You will need to wear shorts with short sleeves or your swimsuit. At night, you may need a light jacket or a light long sleeve shirt if you go on deck. The temperature will be comfortable, not cold.

Have fun!

Nice weather for Bahamas cruise in late March?

When we were there in March, the water was rather cool. I didn't want to stay in too long. The air temp wasn't hot enough that the cool water was "refreshing", as it would be on a hot day.

Nassau and Freeport aren't the best ports to visit, but I'm sure you'll have a good time. Next time, perhaps you can go to the Caribbean - much nicer ports.

You could go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", then go to "Ports of Call" for info on your ports.

Have fun!

Where is the best place to take a cruise to in March?

My husband and I would like to take a cruise for our one year anniversary, which will be in March 2010. We have never been on a cruise before and have no idea what destination is best during that time of the year. We have talked about Mexico and Alaska. Any suggestions?

Also, any specific cruise lines that are better or worse than others? All feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

Is it too cold to lay out on a cruise to the Bahamas from Maryland in feb or march?

The Bahamas are in the ATLANTIC OCEAN or don't you know that? The 'feels like' air tempeature drops ONE DEGREE PER KNOT OF WIND.. so on a cruise ship, doing 15 knots, with an outside air temp of about 60 degrees.. that means the FEELS LIKE air temp on deck is 45 DEGREES F.

Most cruise ship have large glass panels and wind breaks up to keep the air off of people laying on deck or in the pools.. but it is still COLD because it is WINTER in the ATLANTIC OCEAN.

Are The Bahamas a U.S. territory or does the U.S. own them?

The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is NOT NOR HAVE WE EVER BEEN a U.S. territory or owned by the U.S. EVER.We were a colony of Great Britain (United Kingdom) since the early 18th century and remained a British colony until July 10, 1973 when we became a sovereign nation with our own constitution and laws and the right to govern ourselves. The Commonwealth of The Bahamas elects its government every five years and our parliament has sat, uninterrupted, since 1729. We are connected, if you will, with the United Kingdom through the Commonwealth of Nations, of which Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the head.As such, U.S. citizens must have a valid U.S. passport with an valid visa to travel to my country as required by The Bahamas government.Similarly, a Bahamian citizen must have a valid Bahamian passport with an valid visa to travel to the United States as required by the U.S. government.I hope this clears up any confusion for you.

Will it be warm enough to swim on an alaskan cruise in early June?

Yes you can swim. In fact it is rather nice going to Alaska because the pool is much less crowded then when you cruise elsewhere. Princess has a covered pool as well as a uncovered pool, so the choice is yours. Do bring some warm clothes, a warm hat and some gloves with you as sometimes it can get chilly. You will love Alaska. I'm going this summer for the 2nd time on a cruise.

Is January a good time to take a cruise to Mexico?

I would like to go in January of next year and I've heard the best time to go is from October through January but I want to be sure and not end up in the middle of a storm - Has anyone gone there in January?? (cabo/mazatlan/puerto vallarta)
