I'm 17 and I like drinking milk from a baby bottle. Is that okay or am I weird?
Sucking on a soother or bottle can change the shape of your gums if done continuously for years. It is recommended that babies not use a soother at all for this reason. The bottle is the same. A breast is softer and will not affect the shape of the gums and will not create an overbite. Thumb sucking is also a culprit for dental overbite.Usually people tend to self sooth using cognitive affirmations which don't require physical activity. If you develop a habit of self soothing with a physical activity rather than a mental ‘change' you may develop a habit of not facing issues you need to face. This is like feeding the anxiety and not facing the problem in front of you.Some people relieve anxiety by going for a walk, taking a luxurious bath, going to the gym, going for a swim. Most of these involve physical activity which is a great stress relief and good for your body. Resorting to sucking on a bottle for stress relief is not as effective. It is also socially awkward and you may further feel a sense of alienation from others thus giving you even more reasons to turn to the nipple.Anything can become an addiction. Even positive activities so moderation is key.We should raise kids to be able to mentally self sooth. Unless you have an injury, positive self talk should be enough and if you need more: get a massage, do yoga, take up a sport, go hiking, ride a bike, take a nap, or take a bath.You are not weird for wanting or needing to self sooth but no matter what you choose to alleviate your mental anguish you run the risk of developing an addiction, obsession or bad habit. There is a balance to everything and too much of a good thing can divert you away from facing your pain, anxiety or frustration.

she shouldnt stop drinking milk at all but you need to get her off the bottle!! she should have been off of one at 1 year. she also shouldnt need to take anything to bed with her. Formula can be stopped at 1 year also. by that time the babys stomache is ready to digest milk.

This little guy needs Colostrum for the first few days , they sell it at most feed stores. If he does not get it he most likley will not make it. Colostrum is high in fat and sugar, and has antibodies to help them fight off e.coli and salmanela. You cannot give Cows milk , and especialy not the same type humans drink from the grocery . If it already has Diarreah, give it some peanut butter, like a tbs. You can buy anti diarreal from the feed store ( its pink called Koalin Pectin ) You can Get Milk replacer for Goats/ Sheep . Make sure to also pick up some Terrimyocen ( antibiotic sp? ) this helps keep the bad gut bacterias down. I have raised Baby goats and baby cows from the auction. Good luck !
What age can you stop warming up baby bottle?
Before my son was born, someone advised me to never warm up the bottles. The reason is that if you don't warm them up, then the baby will just expect them to be served cool or at room temperature. That will save lots of time, and will make it much easier to transport bottles. What I did was put plain water in the bottles and carry powdered formula. That way, I can add the powder to the water when it's time to feed, instead of trying to pre-mix them all, keep them refridgerated or in a bag with an ice pack. Even though I nursed my son for three months, he never once fussed about taking a not-warmed-up bottle, since he didn't expect it to come like that.

Some pups stop nursing at a week, others will nurse until mom stops them around 3 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if he is actually still nursing while you are not looking. Handle the pup as much as you like within reason. It will help socialize him. He must be weaned and separated from mom by 3 weeks
