What Are My Chances For Getting Into Unc Chapel Hill Duke Nc State Johns Hopkins And

What are my chances of getting into UNC Chapel Hill? I have a 32 on the ACT, 4.0 GPA (Weighted), pretty appreciated essay, and a decent number of athletic achievements? Should I take the ACT again?

Don’t take the ACT again. You have a great score and making a 33 or 34 likely won’t sway admissions.Instead, focus on your story. Why UNC? What do you want to do? If you don’t know, how do you plan to discover what it is you want to do? How will you add to the community at UNC? Why is UNC such a unique experience that you won’t find it elsewhere? And if you don’t get in, be sure to apply to other great schools. I’m 3.5 years out of UNC and wish I would’ve applied to UVA, Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, etc. UNC is an amazing school with a lot of smart people — but in no way to they have a monopoly on bright and motivated students with a great campus atmosphere.

Help! My parents don't want me to leave my state for college!?

Well the thing is, the decision of where to go to college should be your decision. As a young adult who's about to enter college, your parents should understand that the decision should be yours, not theirs. With that being said, you should sit down and have a serious talk with your parents, and perhaps reach some sort of compromise. Meanwhile, show them that you can be independent and would be able to go to an out of state school.

Also make a list of pros and cons and show the list to them. An obvious pro would be self-development (since being away from your parents will allow you to development more independently). A con would be you wouldn't be able to visit your parents/your parents wouldn't be able to visit you whenever they would like and the cost of the plane tickets associated with the visits.

What are the best colleges for Political Science majors, and can I get in?

I am currently a Junior in NJ and searching for the top schools for political science and was wondering if I can get in. I want to either go into the government or continue my education and earn a Law Degree. I currently have a 3.6 GPA unweighted and a 3.9 weighted. I have just recently taken the SATs and have not received my scores yet. I have taken AP US History this year as well as all Honors classes besides English, and plan on take AP Gov and Politics, AP Euro, and AP Calc next year along with Honors Physics. Outside of school, I participate in BSA and I am an Eagle Scout. Thanks for your help.

what are some of the best financial aid schools that are NOT ivy-league or even semi-ivy-league something the average person could get into without having to worry about how much money they had (none.)
preferably with the following majors: computer science and political science, i guess a liberal arts college would be the best.
