What is the hotel tax in columbus, ohio?
I work at a hotel in columbus, and tax is 16.75%. its the highest in the country I have heard. that includes the city tax and state tax, as well as the bed tax that hotels have to pay. just take the rate that they quoted and multiply by 1.1675. that will give you the price to the penny excluding any incidentals. those will have tax as well, but just a sales tax. have fun here in Columbus!

Just dress nice but you don't have to be in a suit. Wear shoes that you can have socks in. If it says you must wear socks they are not going to make an exception for you. You do the basic eye, ears, blood and urine tests with clothes. When you do agility exercises and weigh in and some of the doctors exams you are stripped down to your underwear. Yes they do breast exams and check you down below. You'll be required to take off your clothes but it is entirely seperate from where the men are and it is done by a female doctor. You're recruiter will tell you the hotel. You have strict rules once you walk in the doors, remember that. They give you a page with the rules to sign upon going in along with 2 meal vouchers (dinner and breakfast.) Its not that bad. Wake up about 3am and get ready. Go down and eat breakfast and wait for the bus which came for us at around 4am. Go to the base. Then you go to the room where your branch of service is and begin. Just get ready to wait a LONG time. Some people have to stay there 3-5 days, with most of the hours just standing and waiting. I was in a fast day and it still took about 8 hours to do the entire physical with all the waiting. Just keep your mouth closed and follow directions.
