What Are Some Effects Of Conspiracy Theories On Society

Conspiracy theories?

Two types of conspiracist theories on different subjects exist: The logical and the absurd; the hat-trick for any one person is to closely look at all facets of a single theory, choose wich one works to end up being a logical or absurd result.

My personal favorite such theories are:

JFK: I don't think we really have to wait the 60 years for the full epic truth of this historic murder to come out. I think the well driven and dedicated efforts by many fighting for the truth has brought forth the REAL answers that have been hidden by our government. My take on the issue: JFK was caught in a vicious circle of bitterly resentful and powerful people--who brazenly hated the man and worked as a team for the single goal of killing him.

NASA staging Apollo Moon missions: I actually believe there holds some merit to this understandably fantastic theory of NASA faking the Moon missions of the early 70s. There's a plenty of interesting photo evidence that's quite hard to dismiss, given Photoshop wasn't around when these pictures were publicly released. My bottom line: We DID go to the Moon---but after the first mission, we staged the Moon landings......while the actual moon work was being done in secret. There's evidence that whispers things were found on the first mission......things meant to be kept secret.

Bush's Two Presidential terms: Let's look at his 8 years as President---what has happened??? Well, we saw The White House take down Enron hard, calling for "corporate accountability" from Bush's mouth. Interesting how a few of those high level Enron execs comitted "suicide"......

.....then Bush hired campagin contributor buddies to important Cabinet jobs---people who were as INEPT as Bush was. And right under our noses---as Bush's first term was near twilight----9/11 happened: tragic.....but the event, coupled with a heavily suspicious 2000 re-election result ensured another 4 years of Bush's ingnorance as President.

Iraq War: Evidence isn't hard to find that this epic event was staged soley for war profiteering; a win / win for Bush, VP Cheney....and every D.C. politician holding Major Big Oil Stock. OPEC lost respect for Bush when we drove into Iraq and took over Saddam's oil refineries, allowing Halliburton ( owned by VP Cheney ) to operate them. I don't have to go on w/ the rest of what follows, do I ????

Can I get a degree in conspiracy theories?

You have an overly good built ego and are analytical and perceptive via nature. Most men and women don't. They watch TV to peer how they shoud behave in public and individual. It's very unhappy relatively that we're too afraid to rise up and say to the Government, ample already of the sickening platitudes you're dumping in this occasion while you will not even ensure the Firemen get coverage for his or her wasted lungs. No one is aware of what relatively occurred. The Government was once fully incompetent in monitoring the Aircraft to the Towers. It was once an extra Pearl Harbor FUBAR second. So because you do not care approximately peoples response to you seeing that you've got top self-worth it's difficult so that you can comprehend the multitude of men and women that haven't any self-worth besides that they're allowed to have socially by way of Family, Signifigant Other, Children, Mom, Apple Pie. Well, you get the notion. How can a collective mentality comparable to this make any differentiation and no longer consider they're "loopy" And you cannot be "Crazy" or "Different" seeing that that entails everlasting stigma from the herd. The Herd is loopy at this factor. All you must do is appear at those questions and solutions and recognize many peoples heads are in the bathroom.

What conspiracy theories do you believe are true and what made you come to that conclusion?

911 was a nuclear event. Proof is contained in the 23-page analysis of Chemistry Table 1 in USGS open source report 01–0429:Ground Zero Elemental Analysis.pdfAdditional proof, a far more intimate analysis, is found in “America Was Nuked,” a free eBook I published, fully referenced.America Was Nuked copy 2.pdf2. Food Additives—Trans Fats, BPA, BPS, BPF, BPAF, Polysorbates, Caramel Coloring, preservatives, emulsifiers, Artificial Colors and Artificial Sweeteners cause cancer, bipolar disorder and other neurological deficits, various autoimmune diseases and numerous other human disorders. Proof is contained in “Food Drugs,” a free eBook I published that contains 1600 peer reviewed reports on the subject with active links to each original document.Food Drugs.pdf3. Vaccines cause over 100 autoimmune and inflammatory disorders in the human species. Proof is contained in “ASIA, Autoimmune/Inflammatory Syndrome Induced By Adjuvants,” a free eBook I published containing 100+ peer reviewed reports on the effects of aluminum contained in vaccines in the human body.ALUM.pdf4. Vaccines cause cancers, genetic mutations, transgenerational epigenetic mutations, reduce and/or compromise immunity and predispose us to frequent bacterial, fungal and viral infections and specifically otitis media. Proof is contained in “The History Of The Global Vaccination Program 1915–2015” a free eBook I published which contains over 1000 peer reviewed reports on the effects of vaccine ingredients in the human body with active links to the original documents. This book also discusses the 6% of the population that are called “non-responders” who do not develop antibodies when vaccinated and the 6% of the population that are known as “low-responders,” people who develop some antibodies but not enough to be protected and how these people effect overall vaccination programs. The reports contained in this eBook provide valuable information not found in the mainstream media.Vaccine Peer Review 1000.pdf5. This document describes numerous conspiracies, lesser known events, but still very public phenomenon, using Federal Reserve Working Papers, public banking records, federal court records, public SEC filings, books, the New York Times and 100s of additional reputable references:September-11-Commission-Report-Revised-December-2008.pdf

Are all conspiracy theories just total BS?

The propaganda films you mention, Loose Change in particular are some of the most badly researched pieces of absolute garbage ever. How you could find them even remotely convincing boggles the mind. Take the "they found no airplane wreckage at the Pentagon" claim. If you literally spent 30 seconds on Google you would see this is not just wrong, it is a complete lie.

146 witness saw an airplane either fly towards or into the Pentagon and at least 15 of them correctly identified the airline. 2 of those observers were pilots. More importantly, zero witnesses reported seeing anything else.

The remains of all of the passengers and crew of Flight 77 were recovered inside the Pentagon, some still strapped to their seats. You can Google those images too if you like. If Flight 77 didn't crash into the Pentagon how did they get there?

As for the Illuminiti, what of it? If they really existed and had a motto it would be "trying and failing ot take over the world since 1773". And why do you use the name interchangably with the Freemasons? Isn't that playing fast and loose with facts?

Similarly , why are you convinced the JFK assassination was a conspiracy? The evidence that it wasn't is overwhelming. Oswald didn't play well with others making him an unlikely conspirator. He had motive, opportunity and owned the murder weapon. Forensic re-enactments have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt all the shots that hit the President and Gov. Connelly were fired from the 6th floor of the building where he worked, with his rifle and could not have been fired from anywhere else.

Here is what I think. You are not even half the skeptic you think you are. You have shown yourself far too credulous and ready to believe easily discredited and even obvious bullshit that even a few minutes of half-assed investigation on Google could have dispelled.

Atheists: What do you think of conspiracy theories?

Some are easier to swallow than others. Yes, I accept that the government regularly lies to the public, and it routinely carries out operations which it either doesn't reveal the existence of, or it provides significantly distorted descriptions of.

However, some conspiracy theories are so outlandish and bizarre, are based on unsound science, (otherwise could not happen as described) and/or there is no plausible reason why they would be carried out. These I reject. Each allegation, as always, should be considered on a case-by-case basis to determine whether or not it's reasonable to believe government (or other) misconduct is involved.

9/11 conspiracy theorists think their theories have no harm?

One argued to me, saying if all these theories are false, it has no harm. but can you look what can this do if more people believe in such lie? look to the Arab world where i come from. many people believe in conspiracy theories, do arab world look better? simpel person can say no.. by the way, many arab countries are rich but yet backward full of conspiracy theories.

can you answer these harmful effects of your theories:
if you are conspiracy theorist of 9/11 that means
YOU :
1-Do not trust congress, because congress do not believe your theories.
2-Do not trust courts, because courts do not believe your theories,.
3-Do not trust police, same reason, they investigate it already.
4-Do not trust government.
5-Do not trust majority of people.
6-Do not trust the more undoubtable evidences. meaning, evidences are not by your (I thought, or I saw), it has to be supported by more material evid.
7-You do not believe majority of experts, who do not count on plain connections.

What has contributed to the decline of conspiracy theories about the US?

I'm not sure they're in decline, but it may be something to do with how conspiracy theories propagate now. Many people think conspiracy theories are crazy.  It's not surprising, given where some of them probably come from.  See:  NSA hires internet trolls.Yep, the stupidest theories may be coming from the government itself as a way of discrediting any that may have just enough truth to them to cause general outrage.  9/11 may or may not have been an inside job, but "9/11 was an inside job" seems very likely to have been an inside job. When you want to discredit something and make it go away, sometimes the best thing to do is build up a cheap imitation and sell it as though it were the real thing.

Deniers and Conspiracies?

In Pat's latest question (from which anyone posting an answer he did not like has now been banned, or so it seems), he once again argues that Global Warming is nothing but a giant conspiracy run by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

If that weren't enough, he now also claims that US National Parks now fall under UN jurisdiction, a claim for which he provides no source despite him copy-pasting the person who originally wrote that. That turns out to be a James Lundeen who was quoted by the Tetrahedron Publishing Group (http://www.tetrahedron.org/articles/new_... of which Len Horowitz is a co-founder. Horowitz himself is not shy of conspiracy theories either. He believes that HIV was designed by the US military and is a regular speaker at the annual Conspiracy Con convention (which, as you guessed, is about conspiracies).

But Len Horowitz isn't the original source of the US National Parks claim. That appears to be the Living Truth Ministries run by Texe Marrs whose website (http://www.texemarrs.com/) too is loaded (or perhaps overloaded) with a wide variety of conspiracy theories ("The Ruling Elite - The Zionist Seizure of World Power", "Die America Die—The Illuminati Plan to Murder America, Confiscate Its Wealth, and Make Red China Leader of the New World Order" and my personal favorite "Newt Gingrich is a closet Marxist and member of the occultic secret society known as the Bohemian Grove").

This all begs the question: is it really just a coincidence that deniers like Pat believe in a wide range of wild conspiracies as some here argue?

What modern conspiracy theory do you spend the most time investigating or researching?

I wouldn’t exactly call it a conspiracy but I have done quite a bit of research on global climate change, more specifically, the insistence that it’s all mankind’s fault (yes PC crowd, I said, “mankind”).Weather study has been a kind of hobby for me since my first tornado experience at 14. I’m no meteorologist or climatologist, but I get the gist of the weather and its history. What I find in reviewing actual hard facts, data from weather records and factual accounts, is that while our presence may contribute a small amount, climate change and fluctuations are common, and cyclical in nature. What I suspected all the way back to the 70’s when we were told we’d be in an ice age within five years thanks to our global desecration of the Earth.I also learned that a vast number of the climate change alarmists get nice grants from the government to “study” our ever-changing climate. And that the man who basically founded the current climate hysteria is part owner in a company that sells “carbon credits” to corporations. And has a huge mansion that uses a lot of the resources he claims is destroying the Earth… as he jets around the world… in a big jet… so… yeah.
