What Are Some Good Books On Electronic Music Within The Last 6 Years

What is the best electronic keyboard to learn music with? I so badly want to learn how to play the piano and be able to read and play music sheets. Preferably, something that is less than $80.

Overall, you are getting some heartfelt opinions, which may discourage you, or send you in the wrong direction. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU JUST DISREGARD THEM, AND HAVE HEART, and I’m happy to tell you why.I began teaching piano 30 years ago, and when I discovered I liked doing it, decided to get a serious education in it, and went to graduate school and got my MA.Most of my students now are learning on keyboards very close to what you are looking for. The other folks just aren’t aware of them, because they were only ‘invented’ about 6 years ago.I have many students with limited resources, and there are actually several new keyboards by Casio that you can buy from Walmart, Amazon, and Sweetwater for +/- $100. The everyday price range is $99 to $139, (with a CT-X700 at $174 being something you might pray for and somehow reach for Christmas). These keyboards are very fun to play, connect to your smartphone or PC apps, and have serious built in beginner’s music reading and playing instruction. Sometimes, these models are bundled with a keyboard stand, headphones and even a padded seat for the same price. Sweetwater even ships for free and doesn’t charge tax. Amazon sometimes gives a BIG discount on what they call slightly damaged or refurbished; I’ve never had problems with any of this stuff from them. They all now respond to the touch of your fingers, and can sound, VERY much like a piano; but they can do so much more. If you’d like a little shopping help, I’ll do it.DON’T BUY ANYTHING USED!!!! IT’S OBSOLETE.Be prepared to set aside some money for at least a few actual live one on one lessons. You have to.Ken NJ, Miami, NY Piano and Keyboard
