What Are The Lies They Say About Richard Ramirez

In "stand by me" (1986), did the characters Gordie lachance and chris chambers had feelings for each other?

If you mean sexual feelings, then no. There is nothing in the film to suggest either of them are gay. They have an intense like for each other and a close friendship. They deeply respect and admire each other. When you are 12 years old, before you get a girlfriend, your best friend is often the central relationship of your life, especially if you have a difficult home life or are distant from your parents. I think the boys were each others' favourite person during the space of time the film is set in. They loved and cared for each other, but they didn't secretly want to have sex with each other.

EDIT: As far as I recall the scene, they were saying goodbye, not just at the end of the trip and the end of the summer, but at the end of an era and before they went their separate directions in life. They were both painfully aware of the inevitable changes that lie ahead and that they would no longer ever be so close again. River Phoenix's character also thought he had nothing going for him and that he would get stuck in the one-horse town in which they both grew up. It is a sad and poignant parting, but I still don't see sexual longing in either of them.

Is Richard Ramirez getting what he deserves now?

Richard Ramirez the night stalker serial killer died yesterday and as a satanist he never showed any remorse for his crimes. So if there is an afterlife he's in hell now and do you think he'd getting what he deserves.

What do you think about Richard Ramirez?

I think whatever Richard Ramirez grew up to be, it was because of what his childhood was like. I'd like to say it was pretty fucked up for his cousin to show him gruesome acts of sex heavily laced with violence (He was 9 at that time, probably) He started smoking pot when he was 10. Learned how to use knives from his veteran cousin. I somehow think that played a major role in the making of 'The Night Stalker'.Even after all this brutality. He had a different enigma in him. I would be lying if I said, I wasn't charmed by him. His demeanor was so appalling that women used to just wait for a wave from him. He considered himself to be highly superior to others too (Given the members of a satanic cult, wished to make him their leader) He declined stating that 'The devil had something much more in store of him”I don't know what do I think of someone so evil yet Charming. I'd be betraying my own blood if I said 'I find his aura attractive and his demeanor fasinates me.’ I'd be vanquishing my morals more importantly. But to hell to it.I feel sad about the situation; the victims. And I really do. It's just so very hard for me to believe that someone this beguiling can be so toxic. Whatever he did was wrong and nobody could replace the terror or trauma that the city of Los Angeles had to face. His undying thirst for bloodlust had already done an irreplaceable damage and he had to pay the price for it Adding up to that, he was a self-proclaimed Satanist. I don't think he actually knew what it meant on a personal level. He did it just to defy it. The look on his face was sheer evil.As for now, he just stays in documentaries, Wikipedia pages and news clippings. Sometimes he hangs around when people ask about him on quora. Sometimes he haunts the families of the victims in the form of nightmares. With a dauntless evil grin playing on his lips; he forever lies in rest, The Night Stalker'

Does guilt lie in the body or the mind when you commit a crime?

This reminds me of a bawdy little tune that philosophers used to sing way back in the 18th century.Ahem..."Oh there once was a girlSo young and so pretty,I loved it to see her hair fall. Her thoughts were immaterial, transcendent, ethereal, coursing neath corset and all.And thank God to keep her,and keep her quite separatefor this was my desperate prayer"She's just sort of stupid, and obtuse, but Cupid  I can't help but find that I stare. So let me be noble, and let love be fruitful, and let me not think it unkindTo trudge through the dredgeOf her dull conversationWhile keeping her body in mind""This was before philosophers were Romantics. (God I am hilarious)Sorry. Sort of had fun with it.Anyway:René Descartes (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)

Do you believe EVERYONE deserves sympathy?

Sympathy =/= people caring about you. (that was a "does not equal" sign, in case of confusion)
People caring about you =/= sympathy.

The two are very different- you can care about someone a lot yet have no sympathy or pity for them, just like someone can feel sympathy but not really care about that person.

I'm not sure if everyone deserves it- because some people are "sympathy-suckers" and, either consciously or subconsciously, do everything they can to get as much as possible. In such case, giving them all the sympathy they want might further reinforce their tendencies to "sympathy-suck". If their behavior earns them no sympathy or pity, however, then they may stop altogether, and either find new ways of trying to get it, or get over their "need" for it altogether.

But if we throw that out the window, and make everything black and white, then I suppose everyone deserves it.

But think about this- would you sympathize with a serial killer? Maybe you would, maybe you wouldn't. But think of the worst kind of person you can think of, and try to think, would you give them sympathy? Maybe therein lies your answer.

What makes a serial killer?

That is a very good question. Some very well meaning people will tell you one excuse or another, poor childhood, brain injury ect, but that simply does not hold true. They come from various social backgrounds and brain injury is very seldom a contributing factor. As psychology is at best an inexact science I shy away from the boilerplate excuses it offers to explain these individuals as well. If you ever have to deal with one of these individuals on a personal level, may God forbid, you will see what I mean.

Sadly, during the course of my career I have had dealings with several with Richard Ramirez (The night stalker) being one of far to many. The one thing that they all seemed to have in common was a complete lack of conscience. They do not view things in terms of right or wrong as would most normal humans. Sociopaths is a good term, but it lacks a certain descriptive quality. If you ever spoke with one of them or looked into their eyes you would understand what I mean. My descriptive skills are not sufficient to describe it adequately. Perhaps evil incarnate comes as close as any other description. As to what makes them, I wish I knew so we could find a cure or eliminate them immediately upon discovery like a rabid animal. I take that back, I would have more respect for the animal as it can not control what it does. A serial killer can, he or she simply chooses not to. A very frightening thought indeed. Unfortunately, I have been forced to deal with them after the fact rather than before.
